The club did always appear clean. It is a shame their business practices are not so attractive. My wife and I had been members for years. At one point, my wife inquired about their $500.00 personal trainer package. She was pushed into signing and paying at that time. After only one session, she asked the trainer about suspending the package until the winter months as family illness was taking a large part of her time. The trainer agreed. Several months later, as my wifes father was terminally ill, my wife asked to just cancel the package and receive a refund. At that time, despite the trainers word, Holly - the owner/manager referred to the contract that claimed a time limit and no refunds. After several conversations and emails, during which time my father-in-law did pass away, we were informed too bad that she would not issue the refund. At that point, my wife informed them to cancel her membership. (After the initial year, membership is on a month to month basis and we were well beyond the initial year.) They did not cancel the membership and continued to take the monthly fee forcing me to cancel the credit card in question to stop the charges. Now, over two years later, their collection agency is harassing us for $198.00 in past membership fees - a full six months of fees after she cancelled. You have been forewarned.

Bad Customer service experience, even worst customer retention practice. If you become a member, be aware that their billing is done through billing agency that is also a debt collector. You can connect the dot about what happens after missing a payment. Not the type of friendly courtesy call you would expect. Worst part of my experience was that it all happen over some piddly small amount of money that I would have paid on the spot if given the heads up. MAC fitness flat out told me it was my fault, they could not be bothered in giving me a courtesy call and that I should be lucky that I wasnt charged more by the collection agency. (and did not understand why I was irritated since all of this is disclosed in the fine prints) WOW! Great gym... just dont miss a payment.

This gym is beyond frustrating to belong to since the closure of 9W Mac. The occupancy has doubled without any updates on the expansion. Members are beyond crowded by the free weights and makes strength training even more difficult. This consolidation to one gym should have been planned better than this nightmare that is the Plaza Mac currently. If I wasnt locked in for a year I would explore options and switch fitness facilities.

I have belonged to MAC gym for about 5 years. I love the classes and the teachers in the classes are always willing to give a little extra help. I was sick for some time and they did not hesitate to grant me a leave for sickness. My husband has worked with a trainer and was very satisfied. In spite of the age of the building effort is made to keep it fresh and clean.

Loved this gym at first. Joined because I could walk to the 9w location. Now that location is no longer in service. Waiting till the plaza location is in full service to return. Curious as to when that will be a reality.

Gym seemed okay but I think I chipped a tooth and knocked the alignment of of my car driving around in the parking lot due to the potholes. (9W location) The plaza location was pretty nice. I like the protein shake bar.

The atmosphere is very energetic, and the staff really help you with the goals you set. The Trainor so are motivating, that you have fun working out.
