This was hands down the worst service I have ever experienced. Went in for a mount and balance of 4 tires I had recently purchased(which were white walls same as the old ones that were still on my truck). So I had a 1130 appointment on a Saturday, I arrived at about 11:15 went to the service counter and waited for one of the three people there to ask if I need assistance for about 20 when I was told to please wait someone should be with me soon. After waiting and finally speaking to somebody it was about 11:45 when I handed over the keys and was told it should be about an hour or so but that there were cars in front of me, so Im not really sure why I needed an appointment. Needless to say 1 hour was a true understatement about 2 and a half hours later I was told my car was finished. When I brought this up to the man at the counter who had taken my truck in the only response was well we did bring it in the shop fairly quick. It should have taken no more than an hour to change out 4 tires speaking from experience. I didnt even get a simple sorry from them the smallest of things they were just down right rude. So just when I thought the terrible experience was over I was completely wrong, once I got home I realize that the mechanics had put my tires on backwards with the white walls on the inside(really I guess common sense does not exist at that place in what world would you look at a white wall tire and decide that it should go in towards the underneath of the car really my 2 year nephew could have figured that out neverminding the fact that they took white wall tires off the truck in the first place). So when I called back to inform them about the mistake I was told that it was my fault because I didnt specify how I wanted them put on. What kind of consumer service is it when you are told its your fault. So after then making a corporate complaint I was called by the Manger and told to come back at 6 on a Wednesday and they would change my tires around for free, I guess it wasnt my fault after all if they are willing to do it for free. So when I did return I once again arrived early and wasnt taken care of until after my appointment time. Then when I ask how long I was looking at I was told that the mechanic who did my tires the first time had to fix them and was going to be finished with the car they were working on for another hour itself then it was going to be another hour and half to put the tires on. At that point I asked for my keys back and left. So needless to say I now have white wall tires that u would never know about cause they are on backwards and no chance in hell am I returning to that place to let them switch my tires around a waste of time and money guess Im the sucker hope this help everyone else choose another auto shop

I looked online for new tires on the E.B. Pepboys. I found what I wanted and made an appt for 5pm. At around 2pm, I decided to go there & drop my car off and walk home. I told the service rep I decided on the Futura tires, the cheapest set for my car. He told me for only 25 bucks more I can upgrade to Hankooks, a much better tire. I said sure. For 25 bucks, why not? He told me it would be at least 2 hours so I told him to call when they were done. So a little after 4, he called. My car was done. When I arrived, there was a different guy at the desk. He quickly gave me my invoice, told me the price and to pay up front. I started walking away & realized he didnt give me my keys. I went back to the desk & there was no one in sight. A few minutes later, he shows up & gives me my keys. All is good. I pay & leave. When I get home, I now look over my paperwork and notice they put on a set of Michelin Defenders, there most expensive tire for my car. I call the store & ask why & was told they didnt have the Hankooks, (they didnt know that when they offered me the Hankook upgrade?) so they gave me the Michelins at the Hankook price. He told me the bill should have a minus charge on it. It was a minus 25 bucks. I asked him "You mean to tell me the better tires were only 25 bucks more, for the whole set of 4? Thats only $6.25 each. And even more important, why didnt anyone CALL ME to tell me about this? Even though its a better tire I SHOULD be the one to decide NOT PEPBOYS!" Yea, I was pissed. He apologized about that & told me the Michelins had a 3 year warranty on them. If I ever break down due to a tire issue, Id get either roadside assistance or a free tow up to 150 miles. Ok, thats great! I asked him, "If I ever needed to use the warranty, who or where do I call?" He says, "Any Pepboys." Hmm, I say, "What if its in the middle of the night in a different state? I drive to SC & PA a few times a year." Clearly he wasnt sure & had to check with his manager. After a 5 minute wait, he comes back saying "All the information is in the Michelin warranty brochure you got with your bill". Yup, you guessed it. No one ever gave me the brochure. "Really? Are you sure?" he asks. I actually stayed calm & said "Nope. Didnt get it. Really!" I went back to the store the next day & got my tire warranty brochure. I took out some frustration on the same young man I spoke with yesterday on the phone telling him how terrible customer service has become in this store & how this would be my last time doing business here. This store had been convienent for me for years simply because it was close to home. I could drop off my car or my wifes for service & walk home. But as of today, Ill have to find another "go to" store. To much confusion here.

Do not go to this Pepboy store, as they really dont know what they are doing on the people car. I went to this pepboy store because I had an electrical component failure in my car. I was advise that they will inspect the car and for that they charged $ 15 and will give me a call to let me know what problem I have in my car. After an hour I got a call from them stating that they need to replace my alternator and by that all my problem will get solve. So, based on there inspection result I authorize them to change the alternator in my car and then I went there to pick up my car. After I paid the money ($ 350) and I was leaving their premises, I got the same problem back, so at this time I went back in and told them to repair my car properly. The guy from pepboy who worked on my car, told me that my old alternator was good and they have simply changed it without doing proper diagnosis in my car. I was really upset because they have wasted my TIME + MONEY, to fix the problem which was not there at all. I went back to this pepboy store and told them to pay me back my money and they refused to pay my money back and there after, after waiting for another 3 hours they fixed my car and charged me another $110. This was completely insane, as they wasted my TIME + MONEY. So, I finally decided to get my money back from this guy because they charged me for the stuff which was not needed at all and so, I called my bank and they refunded my money back into my account but this guy wrote a letter by making false story that I needed an alternator in my car. This proves that they are LIAR TOO. I wasted almost like $350 + $110 + TIME at this store and I will never ever return back to them. This guys just want to RIP the CUSTOMER MONEY. UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE. Please do not go to this store unless you want to spend more money on your car for no reason.
