I have been a customer of Extra Space Storage for over 3 years. First the positive: the facility is well-located and well-maintained. The office staff, Terri and Lou, are friendly. My experience has been one of frequent rental rate increases. Lou helped me at first so that the increases were less (smaller) than Id been notified. However, after the second time that I requested his help he let me know he could no longer help me and now, with the new rate increase notice I received this week, means I will be paying about 30% more rent on my small unit than I was paying in 2011. Thats outrageous, and Im sure that if a good storage company, like the Magellan franchise I dealt with in Southern California till the end of 2010, were to open up a franchise in the Rutherford-Lyndhurst-North Arlington area then Extra Space wouldnt be treating its GOOD long term customers like this! Im so disappointed.

Louis and Teri demonstrate excellent customer service, are great with follow up and are a pleasure to work with! Those are the reasons that I have rented several large units at the Extra Space Storage Lyndhurst location the 2 times we have had a work project in that area and will do so again if the project is anywhere near that location. I have to have a facility that accepts deliveries for me that includes large pallets from trucks and packages from UPS and I have never had a problem with them accepting and that is a huge part of having what I need so the work project is a success! I have rented storage units for years from Boston to Florida for short term projects and have found many people that are good to work with but Louis and Terri are 2 of the best.

Fantastic! I have been a customer here for almost two years. First of all, Terri and Louis are amazing to work with. They are professional, courteous and always willing to go the extra mile for their customers. Their positivity and enthusiasm really shows as well as their dedication to ensuring that customers have a great experience while doing business with Extra Space. They express a sincere desire to help in anyway they can. Secondly, the facility itself is always clean. This mainly is a direct result of the pride that both Terri and Louis exhibit in their workplace. Since Day 1 at Extra Space Storage in Lyndhurst, several years ago, I have NEVER had a negative experience with the staff and/or facility! Everyone is ALWAYS helpful, friendly, and curtious! The management REALLY makes the customer feel appreciated! I love this location due to the HUGE INDOOR bays, at ground level and dock height; which makes loading and unloading VERY SAFE and EASY, even in bad weather. As a woman, this feature, along with the clean and well-lit hallways, makes for a very safe and secure environment. I ALWAYS recommend ESS-Lyndhurst to anyone whose looking for storage, or to even purchase packing supplies. A++

The management is disrespectful and rude. My storage unit had mice droppings in it, as well as another person who was down the hall from me (so chances are the rest in our row had them). Rent continues to increase every couple of months. I moved my stuff to a different extra space storage location instead. When i spoke to the employee about the mice problem I was told their manager would get in touch with me. I have yet to hear from them and I have left messages with corporate. I would recommend anyone to go to a different storage location.

a storage is a storage everywhere you go, there were two things really annoyed me, the fact that doesnt have a lift in the second floor where my unit was, they have to make a way to place one.... and the second was I got it on a special rate all of the sudden from 80 to 115 a month? I just think was ridiculous. It took me longer to get my stuff out bc the inconvinience of not having an elevator, they have a longgggg stairs! if you have furniture you need more than one person. at least my things were secure, not wet or damage.

The facility staff, both Louis and Terri, was extremely helpful & informative about the facility, space available, rates & terms. They made the experience of renting a storage space an easy & pleasant one. My storage space as well as the common areas were remarkably clean, well lit, dry & heated, & the reservation system worked perfectly. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone needing extra space for storage.

After my dads death, I kept items at Extra Space in Lyndhurst for nearly five years. Manager Louis Carratura and the rest of the staff there were always pleasant and helpful. The hours were convenient, moving stuff in and out was easy, and the place was very neat and clean. I absolutely recommend ESS to anyone who needs to store things safely, conveniently, and securely.

POOR Customer service,workers are SIMPLY RUDE and must not like there job! Only good thing is place is clean, neat, and parking. However,intersection is VERY dangerous seen people almost get hit everytime exiting facility so if you are in a rush not the place to store things. Very expensive prices go up to much!

The location opened on time; there was no wait. Terri was very helpful and informative. She showed us all the units that we inquired about, and made sure that we were comfortable with everything. Overall rating bumped down from excellent because we loaded our own unit. :) Great service!

We have been using this facility for more than four years. This is a safe, clean, and well maintained facility. Louis and Terri are very friendly and helpful. We have a lot of pallets delivered to this place. Louis is always there to help and lend us pallet jacket and other equipment.

My wife leased a space since March of 1999 and we never had a problem with the space, getting in or anything. We felt our items were safe and it was good knowing when we did need certain items, i.e. Christmas tree, it was there. We highly recommend the Extra Space Storage in Lyndhurst
