My 78-year old handicapped mother went to M&D for an oil change and a new oxygen sensor to pass inspection. Before repairing the car, M&D gladly took a check for over $400.00 from her. After over a week and repeated returns with the car, M&D was unable to fix it. Concerned, I explained to the owner Mark, she needed the car to pass inspection and it was coming upon the end of the month. Although they still has not fixed the problem, he said he could pass her inspection at an added cost. When I respectfully asked him to justify the $400.00+ charge, he became irate and hung the phone up on me. The following day, I brought my husband with us to pick up the car and while Mark came out to give him a nonsense excuse for why it was not repaired, he was accompanied by an overweight hillbilly who stood in close proximity in a poor attempt at intimidation. It was like a scene out of Deliverance. Shortly, thereafter, my mother had her car serviced by a competent mechanic, who was appalled to find M&D installed the wrong oxygen sensor and a knock-off brand at that. A hose was improperly attached over a heating device. He felt so bad for my mother, he took it upon himself to take her car to inspection for her. He was adamant in his opinion that M&D ripped my mother off and was in shock and disgust that M&D took advantage of an elderly woman. In what M&D couldnt repair in a week, he repaired in under an hour for under $100.00. I would highly advise against using M&D services.

I was really hesitant to go to MD Auto because of the other reviews (it sounds really sketchy). I called in advance because I needed an inspection on the down low and I had heard that they are state-certified, but also very accommodating to pass your car. I arrived late to my appointment and the owner still took my car in right away. I was very honest about my concerns (the DMV had told me I couldnt pass because of my internal computer due to a break-in years before). He hooked my car up to his machine and let me watch the entire process, explaining it along the way. He also told me frankly that there are things you can do to adjust the procedure, but if your car doesnt register there is nothing he can play around with. Well, I passed and he recommended that I dont pay for a private inspection again and be firm with the DMV, who he felt were jerking me around. I will say that the prices were a little steep, but you have to understand that this is a small-business owner and I support that. I told him Id write a review (because I wasnt sure if I should tip!) and recommend his business for being so accommodating to a young lady having no idea about car maintenance.

False, False, False! Mike Johnson how could you say that about such a reputable establishment?? MD auto has taken care of my Chevy Trailblazer since day 1, and Never have i had any problems or breakdowns...They were upfront about all maintenance done and followed all schedule maintenance specific to my vehicle. My bills matched the estimates given, and my SUV was fixed much sooner than expected. I completely trust this business, and would recommend their services to anyone who owns a car. For todays economy their prices are well within an average working persons budget. I thank them for all their work done and will count on them to be there for me in the future.

I have a problem with my car and these reviews dont really say good things but lets see Ill give them a try today ...... TWO STARS for now until I get my service.....its sad to say that my experience is not a good one at all ......I was cherged almost 500 and they didnt even find the problem, I found the problem, and they even charge me for checking it out, I had it tow to this place and they said they wouldnt charge me at first ... my GF (army) had just came back from overseas and all we wanted was to go home (Elizabeth NJ) definitly my worst experience ever

MD Auto is the only place that I will bring any of my company or personal vehicles to, I have been coming to this family run shop for years and they have proven to be more reasonable then any other shop or dealership. These guys have kept my old company truck on the road way longer than I thought would be possible. Im grateful to have the professionals at MD Auto to "turn to" (pun intended) for all my automotive needs.
