There was just something off when I came to this location with a friend. The grey-blue atmosphere was too ordinary, just like the workers who looked like they didnt want to be there. We were mailing back a return item that was a little late, a typical process that in due time will ensure the delivery of our package. We kept waiting endlessly in line as the watch on my arm kept on reminding me that time is moving but we were not. I took a mental note not to come during the holiday season... 2 days before Christmas. When it was finally our turn, I was greeted with a robotic "how can I help you?" As the mans dead eyes looked into my soul. We had already packaged and had the address for our mail. We handed it over to the lifeless man and eventually paid for our "guaranteed" delivery. From the corner of my eye I saw the man putting our mail into a container with other mail and I felt assured that everything would be fine... Out of all the possible packages, it was mine that something went wrong. A few weeks later a got a notice that money was drawn for not sending the late item and I had automatically purchased said item. But the truth is I mailed it and I had an eyewitness to prove it. I called customer service and the people there probably hate their lives more than the lifeless zombies that were at the post office. Throughout the ban penal amount of times I had tried to get in touch with a representative no one was available. The office said there was nothing they could do. USPS you had one job... I just hope the book about education lands in a kids hand and they can learn something and not screw up the younger generation. TL;DR Went to mail back a return item and was guaranteed delivery. USPS lost my mail and I had to pay for it. They had one job.

I dont understand why there are so many poor reviews for this post office... Ive lived in the area for 6 years and Ive never had any issues other than long lines (considering that our town is primarily condos, apartments, and townhouses, its no surprise you might wait in line -- especially in the afternoons when everyone is off work). The staff has remained the same the entire time Ive lived here and despite how rude people are to them, they still manage to smile. If you make eye contact, say hello, and just generally exhibit good manners, you might find the staff to be rather friendly. Ive put holds on my mail several times while traveling and one time I was even delayed out of the country and the staff was nice enough to make an exception for me and held my mail for 2 months instead of the 1 month permitted by their policy. I have had countless packages delivered to me over the last 6 years from all over the world and not once has a package gone missing. Ive even had a few times where someone sent cash in the mail (no idea why) and it got to me safely every time. Theres a rather small staff at this location compared to others and our town is overpopulated with all of the apartments, condos, etc so of course, sometimes your package might be late by a day or you might have to wait in a long line, but considering the number of people they serve and the number of people on the staff, Id say they do a good job. And with all the terrible things people have said in these reviews and even personally insulting people, I am amazed these folks still find a smile every day when they come to work.

I came in b/c it was on my way. Never been here before. I had 6 envelopes to mail filled with trading in hard plastic sleeves. Each envelope was already a fixed w/ a forever stamp. However I was concerned about two of the envelopes they were thicker and heavier than the others and I figured they probably needed extra postage but I didnt know how much. I asked about those two envelopes but the woman at the counter picked up one of the other four and told me that none of them could be mailed as is because they were "not then mumbled something else about it not going through the machine properly. I told her I wasnt worried about those because I had literally mailed hundreds of identical envelopes over the years from many different locations without any trouble. She insisted each one would cost an additional $0.42. So basically double the regular postage. When I repeated (quite politely, I might add) that I really did know that there would not be any trouble with those four thin envelopes, she ignored me and insisted once again that she needed to charge me extra. So I grabbed all 6 envelopes and left. Went straight to the Princeton Post Office and mailed them all without any difficulty in a matter of seconds. I understand that there may be some weird rule which is open to interpretations, but I also understand how decent human beings are supposed to interact with each other. This was not one of those occasions. I will not be going here again regardless of whether or not its convenient.

Staff is nice but I have had multiple packages completely lost/not delivered to me. When I use trackiing with them they say delivered and when I call to ask all they say is package says it was delivered so go F yourself is pretty much what they said. I have had amazon investigate them for theft of my packages and low-and-behold, my package finally shows up after they told me it was delivered 3 days earlier. There is something fishy going on there. Whether it is thievery, or complete idiocy try to avoid them. I have even had cameras installed at my house to confirm if package was delivered or stolenafter delivery. 100% of the time I couldnt find a package it was never delivered and they mark it as delivered on the tracking system. Definitely internal theft. I am not alone in reporting this on Google reviews. Please if the USPS or someone capable of investigating them is reading this, please launch an investigation. I am almost blaming this on internal theft from delivery drivers. I have had 3 different drivers drive my route in the last 6 months. Something is happening. Either they are getting let go of internal theft and keeping it hush or something along those lines. I just want my packages delivered to me when said it would. The fact that several went missing is ridiculous.

I moved to Plainsboro mid December to an apartment complex. It is now April and I have yet to receive any mail. Back in December I went to get the key to my mail box and get my paperwork done, the lady takes down my old address and hands me a key and says bye. She never filed any paperwork for me so when I called customer service they were as confused as I was. That was in February. After talking on the phone for over an hour and filling out the paperwork online, I STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN ANY MAIL OR PACKAGES. Over $300 worth of purchases that have been "delivered to my mailbox" are gone and now way past their return dates. Anything that is too big for the mailbox is delivered to my doorstep yet my mailbox is alway empty. I think these people are the most useless people that hate their lives ever. Even the post carriers are rude and blow me off when I ask them. No one seems to care at that post office and it is disgusting.
