We have a house in Princeton Junction, NJ that has required lots of replacements and service over its 33 years of life. About 15 years ago, we had a major leak in the city water pipe into our house ... it erupted on the easement. and we had to fix it fast since we now had a dry home. Jefferson provided us the best quote by far ... and three of his workers came out to dig out the easement, find the valve ... way down deep ... and repair it We recently used Jefferson for a complete master bathroom remodeling ... top to bottom ... everything new ... and they did a great job. We have had them in for other work and they do what the job requires and not what earns them the most money. Weve been using the company that installed the original furnace 33 years ago for routine maintenance of furnace and AC. It is a reputable local NJ company with good consumer online ratings. We now have a 20 year old leaky A/C unit and asked them for an estimate to replace it. In 2020, the refrigerant R-22 it uses will be banned, so repairs are a waste of money. I was told that we need to also replace the furnace heat exchanger since it was not compatible with a new A/C. If we have to do that, we might as well install a new furnace. After the "maintenance" evaluator left, my wife sent Jefferson a text message for an evaluation. Within a few minutes ... she got a call that Bruce Jefferson (founder of the company) was in the area and could stop by. Five minutes later he showed up. . I complained "What took you so long?" He explained what type of unit we needed and provided a separate quote on the A/C and A/C plus new furnace. The heat exchanger was sound ... but the old furnace would not have the efficiency of a new 2 stage fan furnace. I compared the "maintenance company" quotes with Jeffersons. Replacing just the A/C was 24% LOWER and the Jefferson AC had a higher SEER efficiency For doing both the A/C AND the furnace, the Jefferson quote was 58 % lower! Nuff said.

Installed a new wax ring for the toilet and did a horrible caulking job that had to be redone. Then they installed a new faucet that started leaking right away. Charged us $180 bucks for fixing the leak they caused. The old faucet wasnt leaking. For quality plumbing look elsewhere.
