THE WORST MOST TERRIBLE POST OFFICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. Walk into that post office on any given Saturday and half of the people are there for service and the other half are there to complain! Thats not an exaggeration! If you live in Winding Woods then some of what follows might be true for you. Ive had packages stuffed in my mailbox till the point that the package itself was broken, ripped or mangled. Ive had the products in the packages damaged as a result of this stuffing. When you call, some of the people are very rude and generally unfriendly, but some of the people are kind. However thats the least of my problems. They can be awful unkind people as long as they do their jobs. I once had a package stuffed in my box for a week that I was unable to remove. I called the post office and spoke to someone who guaranteed me that the package would be removed. It was not removed. I called back the next day asking it to be removed again, and again, it was not. THIS HAPPENED FOUR TIMES before I spoke to the Post Master who assured me it would be removed and on the 5th day it was. I went to pick up my package from the post office and it was damaged. I put my rent check in the mailbox on a Saturday, 10 days before it was due. It didnt arrive until day 12 and I was almost charged a late penalty. I had to call the property managers office and explain the situation, which took a significant amount of time to convince them considering that they didnt believe me. The whole ordeal was a huge distraction from my work and a headache that I didnt need. The property owner is less than 20 miles away and in state. It should have arrived within two days. After that I decided to start sending my mail through Old Bridge. I recently spoke to an older woman who lives in my complex and before I could tell her about my use of Old Bridge to send rent checks, she told me she had been doing the same thing for years! The worst thing that happened is that one of my paychecks never came. I immediately called the office after 2 weeks of it not arriving and switched to direct deposit. I told my office that I have 0 confidence in my Post Office.

I came to write my review here as I initially was looking for a way to complain about the post office and their mail carriers. To my surprise (well, not really surprise), I found others who felt the same way I do. I also live in Winding Wood apartments and always wonder if mail will arrive correctly or if a neighbor will be kind enough to deliver my mail to me which was delivered to them for the 3rd time... Ive also experienced damaged parcels, mail which belongs to others, very unfriendly service, and even today I checked the mail just to find an important looking piece of mail which was COMING from someone else who lives in Winding Wood and was supposed to be mailed outward.... If I could, Id switch post offices. Although this prob could be possible if I purchase a PO box...

They have held one of my packages for over 1 week after it was marked "delivered". I received another package a couple days later just fine, now I am waiting on another package and the same issue as the first, I go to the post offfice and Im told that they cant do anything and my package is not there so I went online and signed in to my USPS account, scheduled a redelivery for today. They sent me notifications confirming the arrangement and they still DID NOT deliver my package. Its a very exspensive package and its at the point that I think someone may have stolen it. Something fishy is going on at this post office. Theres a different mail carrier everyday and they come and go at different times. Ive never had this problem at any other place I have lived.

Terrible terrible terrible they have no idea what they are doing. They have no idea where my 2 packages are they leave a notice from a different post office I go back and forth between both post offices and when I ask the Sayreville post office about my package they have no.idea where it is I asked them to track it down on there system they told me that there system does not allow it. To leave my my number down and that they would call me I requested an online redelivery and that didnt happen either this is is just horrible please hire people that want to work because clearly no one knows whats going on in there.

This post office is a joke. Besides the fact that you cant ever get a smile from the employees behind the counter, this post office is very unreliable. At 1 oclock in the afternoon, all the employees go on breat at the same time, and close down the office from 1-2 pm. Also, the hours outside the office door says open until 5 pm, but Ive been there at 4:45pm to find the office completely closed! Hours should say open til 4:45, not 5! I sell things online and this office had made me look bad with my customers numerous times. I work and try to rush there but theyre just so sketchy with their hours. Its annoying...

Would give zero stars if I could. When I first moved to Sayreville, my forwarded mail it seems was held hostage at this post office--I received a time-sensitive letter the day before a response was required--the date on the forwarding sticker indicated it was received in the post office a week prior. Theyve lost packages, not taken outgoing mail. Horrible. The people who answer the phone are rude, speak unintelligibly & cannot answer simple questions.

Went there today 12/28 when I walked in there was another customer waiting, he left and dropped his package in the desk , not sure how long he was waiting, I waited for around 10 minutes then a line started to make behind me and a young lady finally came from the back she had her phone In her hand still texting and I finally taken care of , horrible service!

Hands down the worst post office Ive ever been to, employees reluctant to do their job, they consistently have "issues" with their credit card machine, with the explanation that its a software issue, thats been going on for A YEAR. Steer clear and go to Parlin, its worth the 5 minute drive.

Terrible delivery guys except one person dont know his name but some time other two guys come theyre just no helpful.i was waiting for my parcel and I didnt get it on my phone its showing that its delivered and they dont know where is it ?? Its so disappointing

This is the most terrible post office in nj. Terrible customer service and they dont even know how to talk to people. They have lost 2 of my very important packages and all they said was ask your neighbors. I wish I can give 0 star.

Horrible post office. Lost 3 packages in 3 weeks, 2 of which were live plants, 1 of which was a reship because they lost the original. Horrible customer service as well.
