Time Warner says theyre improving their customer service but Im just not seeing it. At the end of one year with them, they ended their promotional price and jacked up my rates. When I called to see if I could upgrade to a slightly more expensive deal they were offering on TV and online for new customers, they asked me a long list of questions and said they were very carefully considering my needs. They then tried to get me to buy a home security service, and after 20 minutes offered me a package that was 3 times more than I am currently paying. The customer service representative did not seem to be listening when I described what I wanted. When I told her the price was out of my budget and would not work, she transferred me to a "retention specialist". Again, a long list of questions, and then she proposed a plan that was still nearly three times as expensive. She let me know that those really good deals were only for new customers, and that even if I upgraded I couldnt get them. After 40 minutes, I finally gave up and decided to cancel, and the representative seemed pleased to let me go. It was either their way or the highway-- like they couldnt care less about keeping me as a customer or arriving at a reasonable compromise. Where I live in Albany, we cant get FIOS and my apartment complex wont allow satellite providers. But one day, I will relish the opportunity to finally have a good alternative to Time Warner. How many decades before the gouging finally stops?

After spending two hours on the phone I was directed to go into a time warner store. Being it was 7:30 on a Friday night it was this store I had to go into. Part of the issue is whatever contract my housing complex has with time warner, however the man I had to deal with was a condescending prick. Expressed my frustration after the first two hours of people we had to dealt with over the phone and was told when I questioned if all was gonna work when I left her "I know what Im taking about" hummm "all you have to do is call the number on bottom of receipt when you get home youll be all set. Real quick. Needless to say we got home and another twenty minutes on the phone this prick surely didnt know what he was talking about. So In the time I could have driven from Albany to Buffalo time warner finally figured out how to turn my internet on (needless to say its free in my apartment and the whole complex is wired for it so should have been pretty easy) but the 4 1/2 hrs, 6 phone calls, 1 trip to this branch of time warner and they still couldnt get it right (even though I was assured 100% that Id have no issues and all I had to do when I got home was plug it in and call the number and say activate) and lets say the right hand doesnt talk to the left hand cause no one has any idea how to do anything. Time warner you SUCK - sorry for the profanity but worst customer service ever. Thank god I dont pay for it cause Id be canceling. Horrible service for to high of costs.

Worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life, and Ive had some bad ones living in the city. The company scheduled an appointment for tech service three days in a row, and three days in a row they did not come, forcing me to wait for them 10 hours, with no remorse. The first day they canceled for no reason, after I had waited for 3 hours, and I only found out by calling in. That day (a sunday) the dispatch scheduled an appointment for monday the next day. I waited the next day for another 3 hours, no one came. I called in, they said there was no appt on file. I was furious, scheduled for the next day between 2-3, but then mentioned 1-5, amidst the confusion I waited for another 4 hours, no one came. I called they rescheduled today. Absolute nightmare, horrible company, the only reason they exist is because they have a monopoly in this region, anyone could come in amd obliterate their market share by offering competive services and at least some semblance of concern for the customer. Spectrum/Time Warner could care less about your life or your time, the biggest issue is there is no one to even blame as everytime you call in its a different person, clueless about the situation. Management hides behind the cloak of anonymity. Shame on them.

very poor service, wifi constantly shuts down at peak hours and in the late hours of the night. You are not able to make reasonable changes to your account with pay channels . If programming is not suitable, you do have the choice of changing your package but costs increase. Home security system is a false sense of security which does not guarantee you and your loved ones safety. this company continues to mislead the consumer of how good they are. No contracts with them, higher prices and there are charges on your bill for other services they neglect to tell you about. My bill went up 35.00 within 8 months of signing on with spectrum what kind of business is this GOUGERS!!!

They charge me twice at October, one for 38 another one is 41, I ask them why i got charged twice, they said because I choose to upgrade my internet plan, but at the Nov, Dec and Jan I got charged at 48 (which is the right amout). They keep saying they transfer some credits for me thats the reason why I got charged 79 at October. If they give me some credits on October my price should be lower but not higher, I just cant understand their logic. More importantly when I first start with these guys they told me that I cant use my credit card to pay them, I have to use my bank account and set up auto pay. Overall, very bad consumer servise after they got your money.

Received a letter in the mail stating I need to pay a balance or my service would be interrupted. The date of the interruption was a week away. Got paid, came home and lo and behold, my service was interrupted.. a week before the date of the supposed interruption stated in the letter!!!!. Very unhappy. Tried to call in to pay the balance, recording states they accept American express.. there was a problem with the process over the phone, so I went online, tried to pay the balance, and lookey there.. they dont accept American express payments after all!!!.. make up your minds people. I will be terminating my service soon in search of better representation. Smh
