The service RCN offers used to be excellent, and for a excellent price, however the service overall along with customer service has gone down quite a bit in the last year for RCN in general. To make matters worse the service RCN offers which recently went up in price for most members (which was denied to me by customer care when I clearly see it on my bill) has dropped CONSIDERABLY since they began to offer the one (1) gig internet speed option. So yes if you do not have that one gig service your speed is now worse then ever. Almost like RCN was not prepared for the upgrade in speed and is taking from other customers to try to even everything out. Good luck calling customer care at RCN all you get is a nice little run around with long wait periods in between as your transferred, happened twice already to me this past month. Also going in person to the store on 33-16 Woodside is no help at all there always is a claim that there is no supervisor available. I was told by supervisor over the phone from RCN to started writing down times, and names of customer care, and in store reps to file a formal complaint, and get this issue resolved from RCN. So sad that the once great RCN has come to this. So I ask please carefully read all these peoples reviews here! I also ask you to look at the dates and notice the trend of as recently the scores continue to go down, it is due to customer service, and especially the terrible speeds we customers are getting.

Best internet service provider in New York where available. I feel bad still in some places they dont provide service. I am RCN customer for many many years, Since I got RCN I never need to look for another company, Great service and quick customer support. I have recommend RCN to my colleague, family and friends. About this location quick and great service.

They are charging in my account every month worth $35 in late fees with the excuse that I have no money in my bank account or on my credit card was denied. EXCUSES! The biggest mistake was to have enrolled AutoPay. No money back. RCN doesnt deserve anything... The wi-fi is not that good. Unfortunately I will be canceling my account! Thanks RCN...!

crap company ever!! That tv cable box BURNED ITSELF!!! Can u believe it!?? Im worried it will burn my apartment, so I called them to cancel the tv cable. But after that they changed the price from$49.99 to $59.99 for 50mbps!(the internet speed really isnt that fast 2-5sec delay are very often!) sick of this company! Dont ever try it guys!

The Internet is awesome but the TiVo needs a lot of improvement. I hate the search feature. The signal is excellent. After the first year of service is very expensive. I love the recover from deleted feature in my recorded shows. And the included channels for Netflix and Hulu are very useful.
