Ill be the different guy and give a 3 star review. They are adding faster speed packages for internet, however as everyone else said, the prices are way higher than most of the country. There are no reasonable alternatives, as Mid-Hudson Cable owns all of the fiber in the area, so there is no FiOS, and Verizon DSL is horrible unless you live directly in the city of Hudson. I live on the outskirts of Hudson in the census area known as Lorenz Park. I have the ultimate speed package, which at the time of this review is 28m/3m and it costs me about $135/m with no TV service. I spoke to a representative the other day and was informed they plan to upgrade the speeds again, and the ultimate package will become 50m/5m. She didnt mention anything about the cost, so I assume the pricing will remain the same. The problem I have as a Twitch broadcaster is that even with my current 3mbit up, I often get kicked off Twitch when streaming at 1.5mbps. The download is stable, but the upload can be flaky. To upgrade to business class would cost more than 3x the current cost, as they want (again, at the time of this review) nearly $500/m for business class 50m/3m cable, and $500/m for 10m/10m fiber (plus installation charges). My modem signal levels are excellent, and rarely loses signal, so I will give them credit for maintaining their infrastructure.

This is the worse service ever.. I am truly stuck in a monopoly. There is no other service that is available where I live. I have the slowest internet even though I have an upgraded package 28 dn /3 up. I also run internet phone and I can honestly say that my phone and internet goes out at least 3-4 times a week.. When you call them the customer service is rude.. It is like they know there is no other service in the area so they can get away with treating their customers like crap. There was one time were I was late on my bill and the collections manager used the whole services rendered phrase. I was like yea services that are rendered to me are sub standard and that the company really sucks. I try to get rid of services to make my bill more manageable but it is a struggle cause their prices are so high... I think it is time to file a class action lawsuit to put these people out of business. Time for a fresh new company to come in and help teach these people the true meaning of a company. I HATE HATE HATE them and everything they stand for.

MH cable has been the bane of my existance for the past year and a half working at a local technology company. I can not count the times Ive had to tell customers to hold on for 15 minutes while the internet reboots itself to go suboptimal speeds, slower than the Verizon DSL at my apartment for half the price. Recently, though the 15 Mbps package we had was FINALLY upgraded to 50 Mbps this week, and the speeds are finally acceptable. I still have shell shock from expecting our networks to go down every time I click a button on our tablets or computers, but for the past 3 days Ive had no issues at all. Every time I call customer service for MH cable, I want to throw my cell phone at the nearest window due to unprofessional antics, but the tech department has their heads tied on so I have someone to actually talk to. I think a 3 star rating is where we are actually at with MH cable due to extremely high pricing now for what other providers are offering but at least we are moving in the right direction.

Has anyone noticed the false advertisement about their increased internet speeds? "Mid-Hudson is upgrading its network so you can enjoy more of what you love with faster internet. Beginning this month all of our high speed internet packages are getting free upgrades to faster speeds!" Riiight.. and yet every time I or anyone else I know call, regardless of that false advertisement, a full month later and they make claims about not being ready yet... and did one of the reviewers actually just lie about it being good just to plug it lol? HolidayJesus said "Consistent uptime, competitive internet speeds 100/10 being the best for $130/Mo." I wonder how much he gets paid to post that BS, because according to Customer Service we dont have that yet.

I wish I didnt have to give a star! This is the absolute worst cable Ive ever had in my life. The tech that installed left me with a bad outlet completely pulled out of the wall but was in a hurry to get to his own place to install HIS service, more important than a customer I guess. The signal cuts out all of the time, cant watch an entire show without losing it several times. And I was told Id have on demand, sure dont! For almost $100 a month I feel robbed. Sad its the only option here, cant do satellite at my apartment complex or I certainly would. They should be ashamed to charge people what they do for the crap you get. Very unsatisfied but by looking at reviews everyone is and they dont care. Pathetic!!!

This is the biggest piece of trash useless overpriced company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I pay my bills in advance and yet you cannot offer stable fast service as promised. Over one year of dealing with slow speed do I finally get someone to come out and well guess what? I take the day off of work and NOONE CALLS OR SHOWS!!! i I stop in the office and the rudest blonde curly haired lady treats me like Im trash! I hope you all choke on your theft $$ and and burn in hell. 100$ a month and I cant even send my quotes out effective. Unreal dont waste your time. Someone needs to move in and give them a competition.

The service from these people is horrid. We got rid of cable and only pay for internet, seeing as how we dont watch TV anymore. They told us that what were paying for is double speed. And yet, my upload speed is going at a nice .1mb a second, and disconnecting constantly. Whats worse, is theyve increased our bill as well, and yet the service hasnt gotten any better and, in fact, got worse. Wed love to switch, but unfortunately in my particular side of Hudson, theyre the only option we have. Otherwise, wed gladly switch over, and I would NOT recommend this service to anyone I know.

Worked for this company for 8 years , confronted the management multiple times about my direct manager using drugs DURING operations of business, I was ignored and my manager constantly no showed to work ,no phone calls being answered and when he did come in he was using drugs and smoked cigarettes in the office. This same manager was stealing company resources and hiding things on his own property. The ownership and officers of the company are looking to hold off to get cash and sell off to who ever is dumb enough to pay what THEY think its worth (this has failed 3+ times so far)

Overpriced & very slow service, not to mentioned below-average customer service. Unfortunately they are your only choice in town if you live in the remote part of the town. Been with them for 15 years but kept paying very high price for very slow service due to monopoly status. From time to time when they have promotions, they would not honor them for "existing customers" nor would they kindly waived a one time late fee with forgot payment. Since they are the only player in town, what choice do we have? I think lots of people agree so.
