I found Aamco by chance when my car was having trouble on the way to work. That annoying engine light came on and wouldnt go off. They took my car in that day and it genuinely needed a lot of work. John, the manager, hooked me up with the nearby Hertz and had me in a car in no time! When I got my car back it was driving better than when I had bought it! I have been back there several times with different issues (its my car, not Aamco) and each time my problem is resolved with the best of service. The mechanics are excellent and John always keeps me posted. I am by no means a "car person" but John is able to explain what is going on with my car and I understand it. I am learning more about cars and car parts because John takes the time to explain things. He is a great people person and an excellent business man. He has a good sense of humor and the best radio anonouncer voice. Lol...youll know what I mean when he answers the phone! I highly recommend Aamco in Hicksville. It is hard to find people you can trust to fix your car. They do more than transmissions and they even honor my after market warranty. Great place!

While on vacation on Long Island, our transmission went on our 2011 Toyota. Since it was a Sunday, no one was open. I called around and the only one to answer the phone was the shop owner at AAMCO. She was very friendly and sent a tow truck at no expense. The following day I found that my car was under an extended warranty and that it had to be repaired at a Toyota dealer. I called the shop and they were very understanding and told me that I did not owe them for the tow the previous day. This ordeal was a headache to say the least, but the kindness and professionalism of the owner and staff made this experience a little better. While I did not actually do business with AAMCO, it is clear to me that this location is run by honest, good -hearted folks that are more inclined to help people in need than squeeze people for every dime. Forever Grateful.

This is a extremely well run shop that obviously values their customer a great deal. You can tell by how well you are treated and how clean the shop is John the manager communicated with me every step of the way during my rebuild. He gave me updates on the progress, sometimes twice a day so I was never left wondering. The work was done in a very short time and the price was very fair. I highly recommend this shop. It is rare in this day and age to be treated so well when having any work done by a shop. I will be a repeat customer no doubt. Thanks John.

Ive had my car serviced at Aamco in Hicksville four times. They have always been extremely courteous and communicative. They have responded promptly when Ive had to leave a message or send an e-mail. They have honored coupons and discounts, once even after the coupon expired, and theyve gone out of their way to keep other costs low for me, such as for fluids. I pass by more convenient shops and travel a fair distance from extreme western Nassau County to go to Aamco in Hicksville because of the service I receive there. I highly recommend it. -Matt S.

Check Engine Light came on so I took my car into the BMW Dealer. They quoted me @ $1200 to replace all the spark plugs and the ignition coils. AAMCO offered to check out my car for free and were able to do do all the work (6 plugs and only 1 coil was needed) for a third of the price of BMW. Mechanics really know what theyre doing and the overall service was excellent.

My father in law, Ray Engel, went there to have his transmission fluid changed. He was impressed that they took the time to check the transmission thoroughly to ensure everything was in working order. Anthony and the service technicians were very professional and the facility was clean and well maintained. We will definitely use AAMCO services in the future.

I went in this past weekend to get my Nissan Altima looked at as the transmission was shot. Inside I was greeted by Ian, who was extremely professional and polite. I was able to get an update on my car and got a good understanding from Ian on what the problem is. I would highly recommend using AAMCO in Amityville for any transmission needs!

I had my transmission replaced by AAMCO in Englishtown NJ. This was an unplanned repair as I was on my way home to NY. From arranging a tow truck, to getting a pick-up for a rental car, to keeping me informed of the repair options and cost, I was more than impressed with the guys at AAMCO! Keep up the good work.

My experience with this service center is unsatisfactory. I can not recommend them. My wifes car was there two times and is still not running right. ZERO stars. Expensive unnecessary repair from an incorrect diagnosis. GM calls me and asks to have the car a 3rd time... No way
