I’m not one to write reviews but I was so impressed with the service I received at TLC that I just couldn’t resist. After taking my car to the dealership to get checked on 3 different occasions (dates not far apart), my check engine light came on again. I had already spent over $3000 to get my car fixed at Volkswagen within a span of 3 months and refused to give them anymore business. I was talking to a friend and she had told me about TLC and said although it was far from where I live in Queens I would not be disappointed. Boy was she right. My car is finally running normal thanks to TLC. They provide quick efficient service and the kindness and patience of the ENTIRE staff make it feel like your at a neighbor / friends house getting your car repaired. I highly recommend TLC and will continue to use them!!!!!

cant even express what a great experience my fiance and I had with Peter and Todd at TLC, we first brought my fiances truck there, it is a lifted ford truck, we had been bringing it to Hassett Ford, TLC found quite a few more things wrong with it then Hassett has found and one of them was vital and needed to be fixed right away. Todd and Peter were so helpful and showed us everything that was wrong with the truck and they fixed it beautifully. I also work closely to the truck shop, I needed an oil change and Todd sent one if the guys to come to my office and pick up my car and they even dropped it back off to me. It was so great so convenient! They are a great bunch of guys I highly recommend there shop and them! They are honest, trustworthy and they do great work!! We plan on continuing to use their services.

When I was up visiting Long Island to see family for the holidays I went to TLC. Peter (the father) diagnosed the problem immediately. They told us that most of the work we were told was needed was not and the charges were much lower that I thought they would be and what I was told by others. I met the crew including sons Joe and Pete Jr. and I believe that most of the reason that this shop works is that it is family owned and operated. I appreciate that personal/ family touch and it seems as though everyone there knows everything that is going on without asking anyone or looking anything up. Additionally, they offered us a nice car when they were doing the repairs and they will also pick you up or drop you off if needed. Great service and good prices!

Just Amazing! We have been using TLC for a while now and have always had great results from their shop. Most recently we had an issue with a warranty at the dealer, and TLC went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure my experience was a good one. The dealer didnt want to pay for their mistake (no surprise) but the guys at TLC fought for us, and proved the dealer wrong. TLC took care of dealing with the dealer, getting the car back and forth, and best of all, dropped the car off at my house, and even washed it!!!! Its really refreshing to see the level of attention and personal care that these guys put into their work, and I can honestly say that Ive been treated like a member of the family there. Highly recommend!!!

These guys are the absolute best. I live in Jersey City, an hour and a half away (with no traffic), and I still bring my car to TLC for anything more than an oil change. I only found the place because a friend of mine from Farmingdale highly recommended I make the trip out to TLC, after I had been ripped off by another mechanic. It was well worth the trip then, and it has been ever since! Simply put, the gentlemen at TLC are HONEST and skilled mechanics who will fix what needs to be fixed. They dont try to sell you a bunch of things you dont need, and they always thoroughly (and patiently!) explain whats going on with your car. I really cant say enough about TLC....I only wish they were closer to Jersey City : )

When it comes to your vehicle you want to bring it to someone you can trust. That is exactly what TLC is. It is an auto repair shop that you can trust with knowledgeable, honest, and reliable staff. They treat you as a valued customer from the first time you bring your vehicle there with service that is nothing short of outstanding. After multiple bad experiences with different auto shops, I heard about TLC from a friend. They came highly recommended and did not disappoint. I feel confident when I bring in my vehicle knowing that everything will be taken care of and they will make everything as convenient as possible for you. I wouldnt even think of bringing my car anywhere other than TLC now. :)

This place is the best automobile repair shop ive ever been to. I had the pleasure to work with Matt and Peter. The customer service is a 10 star. if you live remotely close to this place, do yourself a favor and come here and get your car repaired or maintained the proper way. I have to drive past 3 or 4 dozen shops before i can get here and i would not take my cars anywhere else. this is a place where you can send your wife or girlfriend, significant other or sister to and not have to worry about getting ripped off or up sold on. really honest people and thats rare in this business. road force balancing is available here. Thank you guys again, simply amazing.

Great place. Great people. Great prices. I brought my car to the friendly staff at TLC to get an oil change. I had noted that the steering felt loose and the car no longer drove straight. They looked at it and said it needed new ball joints and an alignment. I told them to go ahead with all the repairs and when I got the car back, it drove like it was brand new! I can not believe how well the car drives and handles now. Not only did they do an amazing job, the price was extremely reasonable for the amount of labor and parts. I feel 100% comfortable leaving my car with them. Will definitely return.

I just had my first experience with these guys, and based on how friendly, accommodating, quick and fair-priced they are with general maintenance, I can say without a doubt that Ill be going back to them in the future. Peter was pleasant and candid from the moment he answered my first phone call to the moment I left with my car. And while my car was in the shop, TLC offered complimentary rides to and from my house; Mike was fast and personable about driving me, and it was clear this wasnt a hassle for them. Long story short, Im glad I skipped going to the area dealerships service center.

Peter Senior and Junior and the entire staff at TLC are nothing short of amazing! The best diagnosticians you ever seen. They can tell you exactly whats wrong (or not) by a quick drive or a once over on the lift. They will never pressure you to do work thats not absolutely necessary. They may say you should consider such-and-such a little while down the road, but they will NEVER try to sell you something you dont need or dont want. Such a relief to have found a place you can trust wont rip you off. TLC rocks!!
