I have been living in Riverdale for 15 years, and I have to say USPS is probably one of the worst services for package delivery Ive ever experienced. In the past several years Ive lived in my current address theyve failed to ring the bell and claim package was undeliverable or no one was home, when in fact every time there was someone home. UPS and FedEx always delivers my packages on time and follow instructions when I request them to leave it at my door without signature required. USPS you piss me off and have actually ruined several emergency items that Ive needed when traveling.

Its a neighborhood post office. Small lobby with a number of windows. The line (expect a line) is nowhere as long as Manhattan post office lines. Expect a 5 minute or occasionally 10 minute wait. The people that work here are fine, basically friendly (with one being kind of talkative, but youre just there a couple of minutes. Basically, much better than the large crowded post offices in Manhattan or on Broadway.

My rent envelope would not stick close so a tall black lady (with hair pull backed) clerk yelled out, " no tape here, you have to buy it for $3.49. This type of unkind, unfriendly, greedy and rude behavior by Post Office workers is an example of wrong doing to people who care about their neighborhood post office and give a lot of money to post office to Mail out all their important letters & packages.

Buy patience if you come here to apply for a passport. The clerk behind the glass believes he works for Department of Homeland Security. They ask you for everything so make sure you have copies and the original to go with those copies. Good luck!

There are about 5 windows which only 1 or 2 are open. There 2 regular employees that are always in an awful mood. One is a lady and the other is a gentleman with obvious disabilities whom in my opinion shouldnt be in a position of serving public.
