They Started work on the house and within 10 minutes, my girlfriend went outside and told them to stop what they were doing immediately as this was not approved by the insurance adjuster yet. (Manager on the phone lied and said they were out there for 3 hours when she came out). They laughed at her and continued to work on the roof while arguing on the roof being extremely unprofessional towards her. I called Sunset and they apologized for being rude to my girlfriend and said they would take out the new shingles they had put in and put a tarp up at no charge. (secretary) I called Sunset and complained that the roofers were still continuing their job of installing the roof and not stopping. Sunset apologized again and told me they would contact the manager to have them stop the job. I called Sunset yet again and told them that they havent taken the shingles off as requested by the homeowner since this work was NOT approved to start on the day of. Sunset removed the shingles while arguing on the roof and did not put a tarp up telling my girlfriend that they were fired and didnt need to do anything for her (being extremely rude yet again). I called Sunset again and spoke with the manager after being put on hold. He too was extremely rude and unprofessional. He told me that his workers werent being rude (lying) and that he had approval to do the job (which he didnt, lying again, there was NO time & date set up or approval to come out that day). He ended the call threatening me with a bill & lawyer fees in the mail acting extremely hostile. Such an awful experience with Sunset Maintenance, I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Sunset Maintenance, LLC and their representative Roman were a pleasure to work with. We had damage to our roof after the March wind storm. We looked at reviews online Sunsets were excellent so we decided to get an estimate The estimate was inline with another estimate that we had received from another contractor. The materials that Roman included in his quote were superior to the other estimate and the price was very competitive. Better quality at a similar price was a no-brainer. Roman spent time with us talking about the insurance quote and with some additional information from Roman we were able to go back to the insurance company and get them to cover more than what they originally estimated. Roman was very open and honest throughout the process and a true professional. The work was done efficiently and expertly and the roof is better than the original. They also did an excellent job with cleanup - everything was picked up an in the same condition as when they started. I would recommend Sunset and Roman anytime!

Wit the Terrible wind storm that Western NY just experienced, my normal roofing guy never called me back. So when the door to door person dropped off a Sunset flyer I considered it.. I read reviews online...and decided to take a chance. They were great. Everything was done when and how they said. The asked us if we had any questions while they were working on the house. They took extra measures to make sure the pergola and bushes did not have shingles dropping on them. They spent extra time into the dark hours cleaning up, and going over everything trying to make sure there were no nails laying around. I looked out when they were getting ready to pull away and they pulled the trailer up and then went over the driveway area where the trailer was with the rolling magnet trying to get every last nail.. Great job.. but I still found one.. LOL. I would recommend them.

We hired Sunset Maintenance to do a complete roofing job on our home in Greece. This included a complete teardown of the old roof shingles, replacing rotten wood as needed, installing a new beautiful roof, new soffit ventilation around the home, new attic baffles and new rain gutters and downspouts. They completed the job on time and with care. The guys on the roofing crew were real experts and did a marvelous job in only four days! They were all very careful to protect the extensive garden plants and shrubs around the house and did a thorough cleanup of the property when finished. They responded quickly to questions/issues we had and went out of their way to satisfy our needs and concerns. We highly recommend Sunset for anyone needing a roofing contractor that can be relied on to do a professional, quick and efficient renovation.

Sunset (Maintenance) Roofing, LLC finished replacing the roof of our Honeoye Falls home about a month ago. We knew we had a challenging situation as we had several shingle layers in some areas, some flat areas that required special roofing materials, various style skylights, some icing issues and rotting wood. Roman was generous with his time evaluating our roof and discussing our options. A large hardworking crew tore out, repaired and replaced our roof efficiently and professionally -- even down to the clean up. Roman kept us informed about the progress, precautions in case of rain, etc. Weve been very pleased and impressed with their consideration and workmanship and recommend them highly.

It has been about a month since Sunset Maintenance installed our new roof. Roman was our first contact and stayed with us until we were satisfied in every aspect. He started by making a more thorough inspection of all aspects of our roof than any other bidder. (We had 7 companies come by before making our decision.) Roman then explained any questionable/problematic area and the recommended remedy. He showed us ventilation solutions that the others (those who bothered to check) did not seem to know about. The roof was installed quickly and professionally. There were a few minor problems, but Roman had the back-up crew here promptly to fix each one to our satisfaction.

Roman was excellent at explaining all of the work that they would do and showed us pictures of other roofs they had done work on. They took the time to cover everything next to the house and thoroughly cleaned up when the project was completed. All were friendly including the foreman, Paul. I was very pleased with the work. Sunset did a wonderful job putting a new roof on our raised ranch, from replacing dry rotted plywood sheets, to cutting ridge and soffit vents, their work was quick, accurate and polished. Our architectural shingles are a real upgrade to our home. And, they got the job done in less than eight hours. Finally, they did a great job at cleaning up.
