We had our roof and skylights replaced, and a solar tube installed three or four years ago by Shumaker. I can’t say enough about this company and its employees. I initially called to have some shingles replaced as a result of storm damage and also have them provide me with an estimate to replace the poor quality shingles the home builder initially installed. They responded immediately and didn’t charge me anything for the repair until I made a decision on replacement. Should I go with Shumaker, the repair was free. Scott was upfront and thoroughly explained everything. He worked with us on the shingle type, skylight selection, and solar tube installation requirements. He gave us all the information we needed and plenty of time to make a decision. No pressure at all! A welcome change from many contractors. We had one issue with a piece of rubber flashing 2 years after the installation. I was going to fix it myself but just happened to mention it to Scott at the Frederick Home Show and the very next day they were out and replaced it, no questions asked. This is what I look for in a contractor. The job was done when promised and to my complete satisfaction. They also thoroughly cleaned up at completion. If you are in need of any roof work, I highly recommend this company! Thanks Scott and crew!

Very, very, unprofessional business. I called and had my info taken down so someone could call in the morning. The next morning they called back and while I wanted someone to come take a look and give me a quote (we needed the work done asap and would have likely paid any price to be honest at the time) Instead I was told over the phone what their opinion was of the issues and informed they would send someone out to do the work they described for several hundred dollars the following week. Not comfortable I got another roofer to come take a LOOK at the roof & the issues were not at all what Shumaker had thought. That being said when I called to cancel my appt. I got a quick "ok" and was hung up on. Then a couple days later I got a call to see if our date & time were still good...I was surprised but upon me telling him I had already cancelled my appt. days ago I was quickly hung up on once again. Awesome.

Shumaker Roofing was a pleasure to do business with. They are professional in every sense of the word. They took the time to come to our home and review the details of what they would need to do to replace our roof. They gave us a fair price and their work crew did an exceptional job from the first shingle to cleanup. We have a beautiful roof that matches our homes exterior colors because they gave us a list of homes with roofs they thought would look good on our house and we drove by those homes to see what they looked like--this helped us make our selection. The office staff kept us informed every step of the way. They are a top-notch company who delivers a good product and service.

Professional from start to finish. Our roof was completely done in one day, including delivery of the shingles, so we didnt have materials sitting around. Plants were covered, and they did a VERY thorough job of cleaning up nails when they were done. In the days following the job, we found a grand total of just two nails. With an active dog in the yard, that is particularly appreciated. On time, no surprises, and a supervisor scheduled a quality assurance visit the next week to review and approve all the work. I have ever confidence in the company, and the longevity, function and beauty of our new roof.

Do not call these guys. I called to get a quote. The man took down my name and phone. He said someone will call me in the morning to make an appointment. I said I dont need an appointment, I just need a quote since I know what I need. He said someone still needs to come out and take a look. I asked if there is a fee with the appointment (since some companies charge you for a quote). He then said "I dont think well be a good fit for each other. Good luck with what you need." Then he hung up on me.... Seriously?

This business is highly professional and Honest. I received an estimate within 48 hours {They actually visited my home} for replacement of dry rotted wood surrounding my Dormers. After receiving the estimate, which was fair -using PVC, they came to my home 3 days later to actually do the installation. The team was pleasant to speak with, professional, and most of all they cleaned up the debris that fell from the roof. I would rate them higher than 5 star for their Customer Service.

My husband and I were impressed by every encounter we had with Shumaker when we redid our roof--office support, estimating, workers, and completion. There are NO subcontractors. They do their own work in the time that is promised. They were there on time and cleared any debris from the work area. They are also very good to senior citizens and are community minded! We recommend them to everyone!

I waited close to two months for my quote. When I pressed a little for my quote I was asked "if I was looking for the lowest quote?" to which I replied "Yes" (Who wouldnt be?). He replied "Well, were not that company" (click). I dont think Ill be recommending these guys to anyone. Thanks for nothing. Poor business model. Poor customer service.

Shumaker Roofing gave us a very competitive proposal, they did the entire job in one day (3 roofs on main house and 1 shed roof) and did a thorough clean-up as well. We are extremely happy with the final result and would recommend them to anyone who is in need of a new roof. Very professional!
