We called Ray the plumber because we had a leak in our ceiling. The pipes were already exposed. There were two small pinholes in a 14" section of pipe. There was a $59. charge for the plumber to come. He said he would replace the 14" section of pipe one elbow and another 14" section of copper pipe with PVC pipe and for this he wanted $850.00 but he said to do the job right he should tear through the wall and replace the downspout pipe. We also showed him a small leak that we had in the basement. (same problem) with the copper pipe. He said we should take out all the copper pipe in our house and replace it with the new poly type pipe but did not give us prices. We called another plumber who arrived at 430pm fixed the pipe in our ceiling with pvc pipe (like the Ray the plumber guy said for $350. He also fixed the pipe in the basement with the poly type pipe for $300. About 1 1/2 hours work. We our very satisfied with the 2nd plumber. Both jobs for $200 less the Ray the plumber wanted for one job. We told our friends about this and she relayed this story of RAY THE PLUMBER. My friends help out a mother and son they know. The son is a man of 50 years and is mentally challanged his mother is very elderly. The son called my friend because his toilet was running. She went and checked it and the internal flab was worn so the toilet would not fill up. She shut the water to the bowel and suggested they call a plumber. They called Ray the Plumber. He fixed the toilet and told them he noticed the facets in the kitchen and bathroom were also dripping water and they let him replace both facets. They were charged $2700.00. Let the buyer beware.

this is the 3rd time we have had Mark in our home. The first time was just by chance, the second and third time we requested him. What a wonderful, professional, knowledgeable young man! Mark explains every detail as to what our plumbing problem is and lets us ask as many questions as we need. Then, as he prepares to work, he lays out a mat on the front porch, and drop cloths from the entrance to the work site. Today, he used paper towel and windex so he could wipe down our new fixtures and the bathroom floor!! Mark is polite, respectful and even is kind and patient with our 2 big dogs. Honestly, Mark is the reason we call Ray the Plumber, we really know we can count on him to be exactly what we need. He has done 3 big jobs for us and everything has turned out perfectly; no leaks, no problems!! Thank you Mark!this is the 3rd time we have had Mark in our home. I have two words for Ray the Plumber....RIP OFF! First off, I made an appointment on a Monday in the window of 1:00-4:00 p.m. and was told I would receive a phone call when the technician was on his/her way. The call never came. I called the office at 4:00 to see what happened and the dispatcher said my phone didnt go to voice mail - repeated my number - which was wrong even though she repeated it to me when I made the appointment - and then told me they should be at my house "any minute". Obviously lies!! So she (the dispatcher) then gave me an 8:30 a.m. appointment for Tuesday. The plumber showed up early and proceeded to tell me that to fix my leaking kitchen faucet - which a year ago cost me about $120 - would cost $349!!! Are you kidding me?? I wont even get into the price I was given to fix my toilet bowl. The handle of which needs to be depressed the entire time the bowl is being flushed. Lets just say it would cost less to buy a new toilet. I would NEVER recommend Ray the Plumbers service. I have no idea how they stay in business if this is indicative of the service they provide. I would not give them any stars but I had to put one star in order to post this review.

After a bathroom renovation, the sinks and toilet fixture in the bathroom began to drain very slowly. I called Ray the Plumber to have a technician check out the situation, and they arranged to have one dispatched. The office also notified me when the technician, was about to arrive here. Neil was extremely professional and polite, and assessed the situation accurately. He then protected my wood, ceramic and carpets with drop cloths before proceeding. Apparently some of the renovation debris, such as tile grout, had gotten into the main drainpipe and hardened there while I was out of town. He investigated alternative means of clearing the rock-like material, such as accessing the pipe through the back of the wall or from the roof, but finally had to remove the Toto toilet completely and run a very long "snake" something like 125 under the flooring. He worked very professionally, explaining what and why he was doing various things, and left the area impeccably clean. I would recommend this company without reservation and hope that they realize what a competent, knowledgeable, and polite individual they have in this technician.

I called three companies over a weeks time because I had to wait for appointments. I called Ray the Plumber the day before and they gave me a 3 hour window of time for the next day. They were Very professional on the phone and explained fully what to expect. Connor showed up on time on the scheduled day and I told him the plumbing projects I needed done. He looked, gave me a quote, and told me they could all be done in one day. The quote was in line with the other two companies but I have to admit that I am partial to the rug they roll out prior to service. I agreed to the quote and Connor got to work. It was a 4.5 hour job and Connor was very professional. Halfway through the job Dennis arrived and the job was completed in the time Connor told me it would be. I had to have lines changed, faucets attached a dishwasher hooked up, etc... All these projects had issues going in and I feel very confident in recommending Ray the Plumber. The plumbing works great, the issues were addressed, and the entire team is excellent to work with. I have an older home with many issues but they made the renovations easier.
