I’ve had words with a man that identified himself as the owner. He was very creepy and rude - I share a storage room with my neighbor, its under her name, one day he thought I was her and he came up to me while I was in the room with my back to the door (scared me, he’s quite and creeps up on you). He got uncomfortably close and he claimed we were delinquent and threatened to evict. I have large fairly breasts and even though I was wearing a crew neck sweat shirt he keep staring at my breasts the entire time while talking to me. I called my neighbor immediately and she proved to him he was wrong, the rent was paid in full. He did not apologize to me. He just walked away with an obvious bulge in his pants. I spoke to another tenant that told me he would not let her leave the facility (stood in front of her car to block her way out of the gate) because he thought she was past due on payment (he was wrong then too). Then there’s clueless office workers (cant keep records straight, make regular mistakes). Not secure. Gate has recently been broken for weeks, and breaks down regularly. Entrance door is NEVER locked. It’s been broken for at least 10 years. Anyone can be inside (homeless persons, drug addicts, wild dogs, raccoons, mentally ill, teens just hanging out and drinking, axe murderer). Halls and stair wells smell like pee because men pee anywhere they want. Not sure who these guys are, but it’s been like that for years. Climate controlled rooms are NOT climate controlled. We were told insurance came with the rent then they sent an email saying I had to pay extra for it (forced to, no choice). Raised the rent more than 45 dollars in the last two years. Elevator often does not work. Down button at the upstairs elevator door has not worked in well over 7 years. Rarely able to find a cart and when you do its either a stolen cart from a store or a run down piece of garbage that was used to haul garbage. Rodent feces in the rooms. Rodents chew through your boxes. Most recently stairwells were closed off so there are less choices in how to go up and down the stairs. Bathroom has been out of order for over 8 years - sometimes the toilet works, sometimes not, but the sink been gushing water out the bottom for years. The upstairs has an overwhelming stench of moth balls (poison). They are currently fixing some small things but it seems like its being done for insurance fire safety purposes, not for customer convenience. If you post a negative review or comment on facebook they threaten to evict you. I have proof of this, in copies of emails my friend shared with me. Stay clear of this place unless you want aggravation or possibly worse.

I have been at A Space Place (Farmingdale location) for a while now, and I have always found the staff whom I have dealt with - Donna,Chris, and all the others and especially the Property Managers, Noreen and Ken - to be very pleasant easy to deal and work with, and very understanding of each renters particular situation - something you dont really find at the chain-store type operations, where my experience has been typically negative, mostly due to the quality of staff that those type places tend to have on staff. During the time I have been at A Space Place, I have had a chance to observe how they run things, and I see that they are constantly improving the property and building, replacing lights, etc.and always quickly moving to maintaining and improving the site. A lot of things can go wrong when you have this type of facility, and I have always found them, especially Noreen, to be very quick to resolve any problems that may arise. Other great things about A Space Place is that the rent is VERY reasonable, certainly in comparison to the storage chain, and they are very flexible in ways for you to pay your storage fees - in short, they do their best to make your time there an easy and pleasant experience.Security there is very good, their maintenance people stay on top of things, they allow you to have access to electrical outlets - they even allow bands to practice there. All in all, a really good place at a really good location, very nice people, pleasant, easy to work with, and very professional in their approach to doing storage.

I have rented with them now for about 6 months and would recommend this place to anyone. They have a wide variety of different storage containers: car storage, people storing files, college kids storing their stuff for summer, storage for furniture etc. They keep the facility very clean. If I had an issue, I approached them about it and they handled the situation IMMEDIATELY which was fantastic. With the low prices that they offer, the service was way beyond expectation. A++

Billing is horrible , late charges even when payment is on time , locks on units even when its there mistake, they do not respond to issues, no climate control exist it is whatever the weather is outside, horrible client rapport,other people using gated code number, bathroom is always locked, other units broken into and open with contents all over the hallway . would never recommend this place. Their prices reflect the service and their intentions are clear.

I have been doing business with A Space Place since I put my important things into storage after the hurricane. It has been a very stressful time, with many challenges. One of the things I can count on is that my items in storage are safe and protected. I use their Centereach location which is less expensive but could use some TLC, thus 4 stars instead of 5. All in all, working with them has been a good experience.

Great place for storage. Not only did it have the lowest prices in the area, but the customer service was incredible. Whenever I ran into a problem the management was there to help. Its times like these that make a local business far superior to a national chain.

I have been a tennant here for more than five years... very satisfied being here... the staff are excellent considerate consciensious.. i would recommend anyone to store there property here. many various sizes and prices i have two myself.
