UPDATE- The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE GETS EVEN WORSE. After a rep made a phony gratuitous attempt to respond to my review below rather than contact me directly I sent 3 emails (to the email they provided) asking for assistance and over one month later no one has responded. And yet they continue billing my credit card on a monthly basis after I have made numerous attempts to cancel. Stay far away from NYSC. I now have to deal with getting this canceled through my credit card again. So FRUSTRATING! STAY AWAY - IMPOSSIBLE to CANCEL memberships and monthly recurring training sessions. My wife and I purchase memberships as well as monthly training sessions. My wife tried to cancel for 3 months and despite their assurances that they would stop billing they kept billing $400/month later claiming that we did not submit our cancellation with the appropriate method (apparently multiple in person requests and written letters are not sufficient if they are not also sent by certified mail to the branch manager - of course they wont allow phone cancellations). They will send in you in circles trying to resolve anything insisting that the manager you need to speak to is "away" and to come back later. They now wont refund the money nor provide the sessions as they also expire without notice. I then tried to cancel my membership since I was so disgusted by the service and called twice - again given the same run around and hoops that you have to jump through. DO NOT PROVIDE THEM WITH A CREDIT CARD UNLESS YOU WANT TO SPEND HOURS OF AGGRAVATION DEALING WITH THEIR LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICES AND IMPOSSIBLE CANCELLATION POLICIES. STAY AWAY!

This is the best gym, EVER!! Lets see, there are good and bad reviews for this gym. I cant speak for everyone but I personally think this gym has everything you need to get in shape for a fair price. Nothing in life is perfect but this gym is more than good enough. Remember, theres so many places with so many gadgets and equipment to help you obtain a stronger, healthier lifestyle. Come in with a great attitude and I know all the guys working in the gym will find a way to assist you. I have never attended a class but I always observe many classes while I am working out. The classes are usually packed which mean I think the members are loving it. Theres fast moving classes with cardio and slower classes like yoga. Yoga is badass. The pool is fine having used it only a few times. There are a good number of individual showers in the mens room. There is also a family shower area. Theres a heated room next to the showers. There is a room on the top floor for cycling. I always walk around that class, should take one. I once took a cycling class elsewhere, my first. I thought not much of it before, but after a few minutes it was whooping my ass. haha Not so easy. Thats why its awesome. Well I hope you join, if youre looking for a great gym. Wherever you are in your fitness journey, this can be the opportunity for you to grow healthier and stronger. Good luck!! P.S. I love this gym.

This is the first negative review Ive ever written. Dont waste your $. Ive been trying to cancel for the last 2 months now and every time Ive gone in, the person at the front desk tells me the person who handles canceling accounts is not available. Ive even gone back when they told me was a good time to catch them because they insist it is done in person. I finally got frustrated enough and told my dad, who had bought me a membership as a gift 3 years ago to go ahead and cancel the payment on his credit card because Im no longer in the area often enough, nor am I interested in supporting this corporate monster. He called them to try and sort it out before cancelling payments and the new woman who "has been in charge since September 1st" offered him a deal but when he politely declined she immediately got nasty with him and threatened to send him to collections for breaking the contract without 30 days notice. Meanwhile, Ive been trying to cancel for the past 2 months and havent made use of my membership for the last 90 days. Thats $180 that we werent even requesting a refund on, we simply didnt want to be charged another $60 for October. This is how they treat a 3 year loyal customer that theyve made thousands from when they try to leave. Do not do business with these people.

I use to love this club and was a huge advocate for them. I was hesitant to sign a contract with them at first because I knew I might be moving out of state in a couple of months. The manager told me NO PROBLEM you can always cancel your membership as long as you are moving to an area that doesnt have a NYSC. Well that time came and I was moving with my family to another state. I gave them more than 30 days notice as required in my contract and a copy of my offer letter that showed my relocation was no where near a NYSC. IT has been 6 months and they are still charging my debit card. I have talked to the manager, customer service, and several other people within this organization and nothing has been done. They keep telling me its taken care of, but I keep getting charged!!! When I look around online I see nothing but bad reviews from other members with the same problem. So BUYER BEWARE, if you want to join this club put your membership fees on a credit card, something you can easily cancel. I have spent hours on the phone trying to get this resolved but the bottom line is they do not have any customer service. Or, the just do not care about their customers, or reputation, just their share holders!!!

I had to contact my state representative to get involved in a refund situation where NYSC overcharged me, and continued to charge me after cancellation confirmation had been received. Mr. Zebrowskis office helped me after six weeks of daily attempts to obtain a refund and stop the madness, and they were successful. Overall, between the cancellation and refund, it took over three months. This was not a case of not understanding cancellation policies. I understood them fine, and adhered to them. It was TSI (owner of NYSC Garnerville) was absolutely shady in its accounting practices. No need to respond "personally" - the situation is resolved, now.

Its a nice sized club with well kept machinery and very nice staff. However very quickly you can tell the gym needs a thorough cleaning. Not just vacuuming the floor and wipe down machines - but really scrubbing - sinks all have built up lime and rust. Corners all have dirty/dusty buildup. Machines (beyond the pads and handles) are greasy and dirty. Bonus points to the very helpful front desk woman and an older guy working there who never stopped putting all the free weights back in order.

This is by far the worst facility I have ever been a part of. The equipment is poorly maintained, good luck trying to use the TVs on the cardio machine, and the boxing equipment is always broken. Then there is the customer service, HORRIBLE. No one can help you out, they always pass the buck onto someone else. They said they were going to refund my account for an issue with canceling a membership....still have yet to see it. Place is horrible...save your money and go somewhere else.
