Great experience! I left my Mini with Surgical Auto while leaving for vacation for three weeks. The car had an engine light on and reduced engine power. After a couple of days I called up to see if they found the problem. They were able to determine that the engine fuel pump has failed (typical for Minis) and requires a major repair. However, they also determined that the fuel pump is under warranty and the repair will be completed by Mini at no cost (saving me over $2000). They took my car to the Mini dealer (while Im still enjoying my vacation in Europe), brought it back, completed oil change, spark plugs replacement and engine flush (as discussed and agreed to over the phone). After completing the tune up they realized that the headlights and windows do not work. They performed car scan determining that the panel that controls electronics has failed. Sandra discussed it with Mini dealer agreeing that the Mini technician disconnected the battery while performing fuel pump replacement which caused the panel to go bad. They took the car AGAIN to Mini dealer for another repair. A few days later the car was back with Surgical Auto ready for the pick up. The service I was provided with was excellent. Communication and commitment to customer satisfaction is outstanding.

I recommend considering using Surgical Auto Repair for mechanical, diagnostic or regular service maintenance work to be done on your vehicle. This sh op is definitely one of the best, if not THE BEST that I have ever used. It is all too often that one hears about mechanics or auto repair dealers that specialize in over-charging and under-fixing the customers problem. This shop is totally the opposite, performing exactly what is needed to fix the problem, without over-charging their customers. Donald has been servicing my Volkswagen Jetta & Lexus for several year and I never had to take any of the two vehicles back to him because the work was not done properly. Donald and his staff take great pride in their work. Thanks Donald, Sandra and the rest of your staff for showing that professionalism and integrity in automotive repair and service is alive and well in the Mount Vernon/ Westchester region.

I was enticed to go for an oil change based on an advertised special. I called and told the receptionist I wanted to take advantage of the special and told her the year and brand of my car. I also handed in the flyer when I arrived for my appointment and was assured everything was included. After an hours wait my car was finally attended to and I was charged 75% more than the advertised special. When I objected, twice, I was offered a discount on my next oil change as refunding me would cost them $35. If doing business means gouging your customers, I certainly wont be returning. I know many mechanics who charge less for an oil change and tire rotation and certainly dont claim it costs them an arm and a leg to do a refund -nobody would do refunds if it cost that much. Thanks for a terrible experience. Never going back.

Took my vehicle to be inspected when I was told I needed brakes. Since ny vehicle is a Subaru I requested brakes to be replaced with Subaru brakes. They agreed & increased the charge for the brakes. After taking my vehicle to Subaru dealership on a recall, they informed me that I needed NEW brakes & also learned the brakes on the vehicle were not Subaru brakes. I replaced the brakes, took the old brakes to Surgical Auto repair to show them. They took the brakes from me & refuses to reimburse me for the old brakes they put on my car. They are not TRUSTWORTHY. I cannot get a dime back for the brakes they replaced & they did not need replacing in the 1st place. DO NOT TAKE YOUR FOREIGN CAR there.

Thank you for the great job you did in replacing the motor in my 03 Volkswagon Passat, the car runs great. I follow your advise and I am very happy with the result. Thank you for reviewing the bill from the other shop that my shop was in, Sandra wrote a great letter to the owner on my behalf. The letter worked! I was refunded just about all the money they charged me and my car wasnt fixed. So I didnt have to take them to court. I will recommend all my friends and family who are looking for a good honest and professional auto repair shop to take care of their SUV. Keep up the good work and I will be seeing you for all my services and future repairs.

best service you could ask for~5*****plus! i had the best experience anyone could wish for. as i waited i read the newspaper ...drank fresh coffee and fretted about the cost! A short time later the owner came out and said..."its done" and he didnt charge me! unbelievable!!!!! It was perfect!!!! he made my whole day and then some! I still drive a 1998 Acura........ thanks to Donald. I suspect most of us have experienced phantom repairs & fabricated diagnoses. Not here. When a repair is needed, Sandra explains why it is needed. On more than one occasion, she offered the old parts to me for inspection. I trust these people totally and they know what they are doing. That is why I have been a client for over ten years.

Went to surgical auto with my gf audi for a tune up and change a bulb. It cost me $1500...Sandra, nice lady...pathological liar. Constantly changes the price, claimed they put a fuel injection treatment in my engine oil ( go figure). Said a tune up dont include an oil change....give me a $25 discount from a $1500 Bill.lol. they are the worst, ever.

Honest and very knowledgeable auto mechanic. My car was towed in I was told I need a new engine by another mechanic Surgical was able to save my engine and bring my car back to life. I strongly recommend them for any of your car service needs, from the receptionist down to the mechanic A ++++++++ service

I had a perfectly respectable experience with Surgical Auto repair. My fuel pump - pumped itself into oblivion. I took it to Surgical which is close my to flat and they had my car fixed in no time. No hidden costs. I paid the estimated cost and sorta felt like family.

I dealt with Donald at Surgical Auto Repair for engine repairs to my Altima. We changed the timing belt and did a thorough tune up and oil change, checked the brakes and rotors. I felt the service was great and cost reasonable and fair.

Reasonably good service at a reasonable price. Need a little more attention to details like calling the customer when the car is ready. The owner is extremely nice and comes across as an honest person.
