I RECOMMEND YOU STAY AWAY FROM HERE IF YOU DONT WANT YOUR CAR DAMAGED!!! On 2/13/15, I took my car here to get it washed and hand-waxed around 11am. After they were finished, they led me into the "body shop" (basically a garage area where they do the hand-waxing) and I started to check out the car. The guy who had waxed it was rushing me out of there and kept saying "You have to move so I can back it out, please move I need to back it out" etc so I got out of the way and didnt get to really give it a good inspection. I left, and went to get lunch. When I got out of the car I gave it a more thorough look, to see how good of a job they did washing and waxing it. Thats when I noticed a HUGE DEEP CUT (like into the damn metal) across the rear right side of the car, right about the wheel well. Then I saw a large scrape with several cuts into the metal lower near the bottom of the car. I then also found some lighter scratches on the rear passenger door, with what looks like gray touch-up paint over them. I just bought this car about 3 weeks ago, and it was COMPLETELY MINT. None of these defects were present. I have babied the crap out of the car, I park in a garage at home and work, and never park it on the street. I am still in that new car phase, where I literally walk around the car and make sure no one dinged me every single time I am about to get into the car. So to be clear, there is NO POSSIBLE WAY it was damaged before I came to Five Corners. So I called Five Corners, and asked to speak to the manager. They transferred me to Bob the manager. I told him what had happened, and he was very calm and said "Okay, can you bring the car back so we can look at it? If you cant come today we are open tomorrow too." I said I would come back after work. I returned after work, and Bob came outside. He was completely different in person than he had been on the phone. He looked at the car, broke part of his fingernail off trying to gauge how deep the cut above the wheel was, and proceeded to tell me there is no way they damaged the car. He then told me I probably hit some ice, since it has been snowing lately. WTF? Some of the cuts are INTO THE METAL. And what about the pathetic touch-up paint job trying to cover up the door scratches? Eventually Bob figured out that I wasnt buying his explanations, and said he would go get his superior - David. I asked if he meant the owner and he hesitated and said "...yeah second generation owner. But dont be surprised if he tells you the same thing I said." After waiting about 10-15 minutes, the "2nd generation owner" David came out and looked at the car. He very quickly became agitated and started yelling at me. At one point he said "WELL HOW DO YOU THINK WE DID THAT? YOU SHOW ME HOW WE DID THAT!! YOU WALK AROUND AND SHOW ME WHERE WE DID THAT!!!" Are you serious guy? You have a customer that came to your business and his car was damaged, and your first response is to start screaming in his face? At first he tried to tell me that there is nothing in the car wash bay that could have dragged along the side of the car and caused this damage. I pointed out that I also got it hand waxed, and asked him how they get the car from the car wash tunnel to the area where it was waxed. Then he admitted "Oh yeah... well... they drive it on the sidewalk and around the building and back here and into the bay." So I asked him "So dont you think the guy could have hit something when he was driving it there?" More yelling and nonsense followed. He was extremely rude and basically yelling and gesturing in my face the whole time. The way he communicated with me was beyond inappropriate. Dude here is a tip - if you arent guilty then why are you freaking out and screaming at me, and immediately becoming incredibly defensive? Also TRY BEING PROFESSIONAL. He was still screaming at me when I got in my car to leave. I SUGGEST YOU AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! I came here and now I have serious body damage on my car, which they completely deny doing. Beware if you have a nice car!

I have been going to the Five Corners car wash since 1985(2nd generation owner David was a baby). My first Audi. His father Mark and I are very well acquainted. At that time it was a mechanical wash. I have remained with them since Mark changed to a hand wash type. I live in Bayside Queens and could go to many local washes. But I only take my cars to this one-ONLY! It is the best in the business. Bob,,David and Mark are very friendly courteous and professional. The detailers are efficient and thorough. If you indicate a problem the management will address it. If there is a cause for a do over they will do so at no extra cost.. One time during a snow storm a rock or pellet was caught in one of the washers"mittens and caused a deep scratch in my hood. David sent me to the body shop they use and I had a complete paint job on the hood at no cost to me. Good business sense. A satisfied customer will return and recommend others to go there. Over the years I witnessed the rising costs, but, you must understand the quality you get for your money. I have occasionally had to go to other car washes in the past and believe me you do not get this type of service anywhere else. PS: not just writing this because I know the owners. They are going to be more surprised than you who are reading this review. Thaddeus L Mayfield

Ive been going here for nearly 10 ten years. It is simply the best car wash Ive ever used in 45 years of car ownership. Now lets be clear its not perfect, but it is as good as it gets. Everything is truly done by hand. There are no mechanical brushes, rags or anything else touching your cars paint. They use plenty of thick soap (you can see this if you watch) and that helps prevent micro-scratches. Similarly when they clean your windows they are generous with the spray window cleaner. Each vehicle gets one dedicated employee to do the final drying and cleaning, which insures a complete job and accountability, should you have any issues. Finally a manager is always on duty at the end of the tunnel and he watches quite carefully the goings on and does spot checks on each car. These managers are long term employees and show pride and responsibility in the establishment. The one down side of the process is that it does take quite a long time for your car to be cleaned, Id estimate 15 minutes at least. In addition, due to their popularity the line to get in and the wait can be very long. I suggest leaving plenty of time or trying off hours, like during the week.

First world problems, but still seriously frustrating. Came in to get my seats cleaned ($40 Express Detailing ) and I had an appointment. Gave them my car, they washed it, I waited in line, paid (coupon from their app was rejected) and after about half an hour my car was ready to go... or so I thought. The seats had not been cleaned.... although that was the main point? I pointed this out, my car was pulled around back. The manager sarcastically asked if I was in a hurry. I waited about 20 more minutes before taking a look at back where my car was sitting untouched. I asked for my keys and a refund. While getting the refund the manager said if I was in a hurry I should really make an appointment. ... dude, I had one. As a mom who works full-time, wasting my lunch hour on an errand that didnt even get finished really pisses me off and dealing with a nasty manager who thinks he knows it all is just the cherry on top.
