My car lacked acceleration for months. The check engine light and VSA lights kept coming on. After several trips to 3 different mechanics who could not pinpoint the problem, I called Semaca. After that call, Semaca was 95% sure what the problem was. After an hour in the shop, Serafino confirmed that the problem was a stretched timing chain that had jumped a tooth, thus preventing normal acceleration. I didnt think a timing chain ever needed to be replaced, but, due to my driving habits (hard driver) and the fact that I may have gone too long between oil changes on more than one occasion, I brought this issue on myself. Though I was not happy with the repairs that were going to be required, (especially after having spent money at other places) I was extremely happy with the service I received. Serafino took the time to show me what the issue was by demonstrating on a similar engine that was in his shop. I know a few things about cars and have been to mechanics shops more than a few times and I never got the impression that I was being snowballed here. After almost 2 months, I am happy to report that my car (2004 Acura TSX) is running smoothly and accelerating like new. I will definitely be using Semaca for any repairs going forward and would recommend this shop to anyone. Hopefully this review also helps anyone that may be having a similar problem with their TSX!

Semaca is the only place I will ever take my car for service again. Real knowledge, fast work, reasonable prices and the most honest mechanic you will ever meet! My Saab had some tricky problems, but these guys solved them - the first time! (Unlike the dealer and two other shops!) Highly recommended!

I am so happy that I said good-bye to the BMW dealer and hello to Serafino. Semaca takes care of my 12 year old 740i. No one else touches it. I now have very few problems. When something happens, it is fixed for a reasonable price. Trust is the absolute key to auto repair. I trust Semaca.
