We have been customers of Friendly Honda for 30 yrs. Since Friendlys change of ownership (2007?) the overall quality of service has declined and is no longer of the same high quality it once was. Friendly Honda has lost a certain amount of "class" & has become somewhat sloppy & cheap. Weve purchased a total of eight (8) vehicles from Friendly. The first 6 were purchased between 1985-2004 while Friendly was operating under original ownership. All 6 purchase experiences were ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS & I mean flawless. Everything from beginning to end was handled in an ultra-professional manner. Our 1st purchase from the current dealership was in 2013. The experience was quite frustrating, nothing but one mistake after another. The car being purchased was allegedly "in their inventory" however, it was NOT. They "prepped" the WRONG vehicle & on the day scheduled for vehicle pick up I received a call from the sales associate stating that a mistake had been made, that they did not have the vehicle promised & that I could choose another car from the lot which was totally different from the car I was led to believe I was purchasing. I refused the offer & demanded the vehicle model I was promised. I had to wait for Friendly to transport the correct model down from a dealership in Glens Falls NY. Friendly was very apologetic for the screw up, however, it was very bad business. We hoped their business practices would improve. Our 2nd purchase from the current dealership was completed Wed. 9/2/15. The experience overall was 3+ stars. Our Sales Associate, Cori Lawson, was excellent, 5 stars. She went above & beyond to make our purchase experience a smooth one. Linda, who worked out the details on financing, was also very helpful. There were a few things we found disappointing: First, we were given a very low ball figure for our trade in; it wasnt until we checked the online "Black Book Appraisal" value for our trade that we realized we should have been offered significantly more. My wife called & suggested that they up the offer, which they did. So DO YOUR HOMEWORK ON YOUR TRADE IN VALUE prior to accepting what Friendly offers you for your trade in. Second, when we picked the new car up there was only one key available for our vehicle when there should have been two. With respect to the 2nd key, they "couldnt find it" & had to order a new one. It is somewhat disconcerting to know that there is a 2nd key to your car out there somewhere that "cant be found." Who knows who has it? Someone could have our key as well as our address & COULD STEAL THE CAR. Third, when doing paperwork for the new vehicle financing, they failed to take into consideration the amt prorated for the Extended Warranty still in effect on the trade in vehicle. I failed to mention the extended warranty on the trade in, however, Friendly had all information pertaining to that vehicle in their computerized records since said car was originally purchased from & serviced by FRIENDLY. It is their responsibility to take such issues into consideration. We never had that problem when dealing with Friendly under previous ownership. IF YOU ARE TRADING IN A VEHICLE WITH AN EXTENDED WARRANTY, MAKE SURE THE BALANCE OF SAID WARRANTY IS PRORATED INTO THE FINAL $ FOR YOUR NEW CAR & MAKE SURE FRIENDLY SHOWS YOU THE AMT THAT WAS PRORATED. As of this moment we do not know the figure amt prorated into the final cost for our new vehicle. Linda needed to get the information from their financial person "Brian," who had left for the day & who would not be returning for 2 days. We were assured by Linda that upon Brians return we would be advised as to precisely what was done. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN THE PAPERWORK GIVEN TO US TO INDICATE THAT THIS WAS IN FACT DONE. As of this moment we dont know if it was actually done or not. Bottom line, we feel this is sloppy business. DO NOT ASSUME THAT ALL IS BEING DONE IN YOUR BEST INTEREST. Ask for Sales Associate "CORI LAWSON" when purchasing a car; "RICH HILL" & "JIM WARGO" in the Service Dept. are the BEST!

My family bought 3 cars from Friendly Honda since 2010 and 1 Honda car at Brewster Honda. I can promise you that your paying to much. I went to Mercedes Benz, because if im going to pay a loan that is 325$ a month for a car that cost 16,000$ I rather pay 350$ for 5 years and be driving a Mercedes E Class (Extreme Luxury) This is what happened to me. I bought a car from Friendly Honda in 2011, the car visor caught on fire after 6 months. When i bought the car I paid it in full. The car was 12,500$ after everything. I didnt trust the car so I returned it. Instead of taking full value for the car, or replacing the car they gave me 7,000 trade in value and put me in to a CRV that was a few years old. They even financed it. But let me tell you, they added interest, and when all was said and done, it was as if I never gave them the first 12500$, because with the interest I was paying the full sticker price. They got there car back, sold me a newer car, plus made there money back on the other car. My 3rd car was an Accord, payment is about 360$ for 6 years, (Beware how honda sets up your loan) all i can say was I thought it was going to be 5 years, that extra year came out of no where. Im 23 years old, a college student, and business oriented. Looking back I feel like I was raped. (No I said it) Its that feeling you feel, when you trust someone, and years later you find out they where using you. I drive a Mercedes Benz E Class, I welcome everyone who is interested in contacting me, to voice an opinion good or bad. Regardless I drive a benz, and I recommend you think twice, why pay a Honda price, when you can pay the same price and have luxury. What does Honda offer? What did Honda Offer? What can you get for the same Offer Else where? Turn off your computer, and really think about it. Honda is not competitive, they offer the same finances as other companies. The fact is, most people who buy cars at Friendly Honda probably think they cant get approved else where, im 23 and Mercedes Benz E class is what I drive, and I had the same credit that I had with Honda when I was approved for my benz ....in the 600s. (Its late, i apologize for grammar, spelling, and english related errors)

I could not agree more with the post dated Aug, 27th 2010. I live about 2 hours from this dealer ship. I came across them on-line when I was looking at a 2007 Ford Focus. I spoke to "Chuck" on the the phone many times. I drove down there to look at the car the 1st week of Aug. The car was making some kind of noise in the front end. I told Chuck to give me a call and let me know what the issue was. He called me a couple of days later and informed me the bushings need to be replaced. I told him I would take the car if they fixed the issue. He said not a problem. I drove down today to buy the car. I called him yesterday and told him this was a surprise for someone to to please make sure the car was washed and cleaned. When I got there today around 4pm the car was dirty as can be. ( I could have written please wash me in all the dirt sitting on the car) The inside had ashes in it and smelled like smoke! The car had more damage on it then when I had seen it 3 weeks ago. When I asked Chuck why it wasnt washed he told me "they told me it was" (What he couldnt have gone and looked himself right outside the door) It was his sale! Then I ask to see the work order for the bushings so I know the work had been done and he tells me after looking at his computer it was last serviced on JULY 7TH!!! Hello, I was there the 1st week off Aug a month after that. Needless to say I did "NOT" buy the car!!! What a waste of a day off! They should just rename the place "Just Give us your Money Honda" There was nothing "FRIENDLY" about it. Very poor customer service in my mind. I hope the OWNER reads this and gives me a call. NOT A MANAGER! Im sure Chuck has my number.
