Do Not Get Your Car Inspected or Worked on Here... On August 18, 2015, I was directed to Midtown Center Auto Repair for an Inspection by some Gas Station Attendants on Houston Street, NYC. When I got there I was greeted by Mr. Andrew Bello who took care of me promptly and courteously (Invoice# 653). While waiting I tried the candy bar machine which took my dollar and didnt give it back. My mental antennae went up... An employee returned the dollar bill. Andrew told me to wait in an Office while my TrailBlazer was inspected. After a short time, he lifted my truck and showed me why I failed my Inspection. A steering Gear needed replacement ("Steering, suspension front end and chassis/ frame") as it was leaking oil. He also noted "Lighting and Reflectors" and that my horn did not work. The horn did work and my complete front end was basically new. My mental antenna went up again... I asked him for an estimate which came out to $955.02. I asked him if he could do better for cash and he said to avoid paying tax, he could do it for $850.00. I paid $37.00 for my Failed Inspection. I said Ill think about it. On August 22, 2015 at 7AM, I brought my car to Pep Boys on 38-19 21st Street. LIC. where I previously had work done. Eric, the Service Manager, greeted me and I checked my truck in with Kevin at the Service Desk. I told him what I was told my Mr. Andrew Bello at Midtown Auto and he said, "I will have your car Inspected first to see if what you were told was accurate". I said to myself, that makes a ton of sense. I had three bulbs replaced and passed my Inspection. I requestioned this gear problem mentioned by Mr. Bello to Kevin and Eric, to ensure that my steering was safe; money was not the issue here. Eric looked me dead in the my eyes and said, "If there was anything the matter with your truck, it would not pass Inspection. PepBoys honored a 10% Coupon and I was on my way knowing I was not ripped off and that my truck was safe and Inspected properly. DO NOT bring your vehicle for Service to Midtown Center Auto Repair & Body Shop unless you want to get ripped off and have the Federal Government ripped off as well. Bring your vehicle to Pep Boys!

Alls Well That Ends Well... The area around the dealer is very good for a test drive. You can drive on local streets and on the expressway to get a true feel for your vehicle. The negotiations were a little rough at first but "Alls Well That Ends Well..." we were able to work out a deal at the end. I believe this should be expected of any car dealer as both the seller and the buyer are trying to get the best deal. Terry was the sales person, Rob was the manager, and Leo and Reggie where the finance guys. The employees at Bayside was attentive and personable. I would recommend that if you are going to buy a car from anywhere you do your research. If you do not know what you want, go and test drive the vehicles. Make your decision with your head and do not let your emotions get involved. Then go online research the vehicle. Look at what are actual options, and see what comes with the different packages which are offered. Educate yourself before walking in. Ask questions. With that said I did visit other Jeep dealers in NYC and Westchester. Will follow up with reviews on the service department when used in the coming months.

I made an appointment for 10am. I sat in the waiting area for 3 1/2 hours. When my car was finally being moved from the parking lot to the garage a coworker told him not to because he had to align the weeks on his girlfriend car first!!!! So I had to wait another hour.... because 2 of the other workers were busy tuning his own silver accord....!!!!! All I wanted was accord lower radiator hose!!!!! That I told then was cracked already!!! They wasted my whole saterday. Not to mention they lost my radiator cap!!!!!! They told me they had to order the video from corporate to find out what happened to it.... these guys are the worst.... Oh!!!! And wanted me to pay $680 for a lower hose.... Im letting everyone know what happens there.... I work for the main post office in L.I.C.... they will never visit this place.... p.s. I saw them RIP AN OLD LADY OFF.... A BRAKE JOB FOR $765.........W.T.F. NO REMORSE!!!!!!!

1. I had to wait an inordinate amount of time in line. 2. My car took practically all day for an oil change. 3. When I got my car back the check engine light was on and the gas gauge no longer worked. When I stomped back in there, I was told that my car was old and this kind of thing just happens with cars of that age. I was told that to replace the fuel pump (and accompanying sensor), Id need to replace the entire tank, costing about $1200. Listen, my car was fine when I went in there. When I got it back, not only did it have the service light on but gauges didnt work.... and no one said anything to me.... I would NOT suggest going to this place, unless you want issues, and for things to take a long time. Simply put, there is a reason why their rating is so much lower than some other local places..

If you go to a discount auto parts store for auto repairs, you get what you pay for. They generally only sell aftermarket (I.e. cheaper) parts. Three hours for a tire change is not that long (response to another review). If you trust all your repairs to a shop, be careful whom you call lazy. Having every filter and lubricant in stock for every car on the road is impossible! Call ahead, you have the internet at your fingertips! True, the floor staff is not the most eager to help, but compared to any other auto parts store in the city, these guys are all right for the money. They do, actually, sell nearly every tool you need to do the job yourself. Dont blame them for your own impatience and ignorance. And please proofread your review before you send it.

Bad customer service the guy in parts act like he didnt want to help me locate the right kind of fluid for my car. I had to aggressively ask him to look it up in the computer. He supposedly had looked it up but told me the wrong kind of coolant to put in my car! Consequently, caused me to occur a fee of $189.00 to flush out the entire system! Just terrible! No one was helpful and Im a pregnant women! I took the car to the dealership bc the check coolant light kept coming on and they told me the wrong coolant was put in the car. I called the store to complain to the manager and some lady that could barely speak English answered the phone and then hung the phone up on me.

I went in for an oil change and to have a slow leak looked at. I was told it would take 2 hours. Nearly four hours later I returned, to find my car hadnt even been looked at. I was told I would be next. When I asked why they werent true to their word, the clerk mumbled something under his breath. When I asked for clarication, I was met with an annoyed and uncaring, "well I just got here". Obviously he couldnt be bothered. Heres the best part, after being told it would be another 30 to 45 minutes. I asked for my keys back, they were given to me with out anyone asking for ID. I literally walked in, asked about a car in the lot, and was handed the keys to that car.
