I brought my 05 Prius in for an inspection mounted w/ snow tires with roughly 20k miles. I dropped the car off for "an hour" and walked home. I was called 2 hours later to pick up my car which had "passed". I arrived about 15 min later to hear it had in fact failed and if i would like they would be happy to install a set of 600 dollar tires for me. I refused and took my car back. Which now rattled like dish plates in an earthquake. After thinking about it for a day and calming down I came back in and talked with a manager. He was EXTREMELY pushy. To the point where he wanted to take a look at the car and I politely refused saying his workers had did quite enough. He pushed past me and went out to the car and started tightening lugs. This is after I told him at least 6x he wasnt too touch the car. It took 6 because he kept insisting. The next 20 minutes he dedicated to high pressure sales techniques, lies, and scare tactics. When I politely refused to buy the tires at a "discounted" price he became smarmy and some what insulting. Because I am an idiot I just called them again while price checking and looking around town and got more of the same "oh I remember you, yea we gave you the best price in town, you wont beat it, so when are you coming in?" then proceeding to basically call me an idiot for price comparing and be litting me for not just bringing it back. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCUMBAGS!!! They took a car in good condition, broke it to make money, and then used high pressure sales techniques to not only be unapologetic but to try to rob me. BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD buisness. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!

Money Hungry Liars. My poor mother who is in her sixties has been taking her car there for years, They ended up telling her she needed an entire new/used engine for 3 grand with 60,000 miles already on it, which in reality they probably got it from a junk yard for 400 dollars. Since then her check engine light has come on 3 times in 3 weeks. Each time she goes there they tell her its something little.. the first time it was her light just came on so they shut it off, the 2nd time it was her gas cap wasnt on tight enough. Her engine is ticking. And theyre just to lazy to fix whatever the real problem is FOR FREE because she has a 3 year warranty on it. When she bought the engine they charged her 180 dollars in the installing because her AC was in the way. UMMMM pretty sure there is an AC in every vehicle. Dont go here unless you want to throw your money away and never get any real progress done to your vehicle.

I had my alignment done at the Firestone of Queensbury. The technician who did my alignment, Randy, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Using terms and examples I could easily understand, he walked me step by step through the problem with my alignment and what he thought was the best course to take to correct it. Randy correctly diagnosed that my car had previously been in an accident. Ive been to several other Firestones throughout the United States and no other Firestone has detected or notified me that there was a problem with my suspension. Finally, there was no pressure to purchase new tires or anything else. Randy explained that I should feel how the changes he made affect the handling of my car separate from new tires. Then, I could come back if I was unsatisfied with how it felt. The Firestone at Queensbury should be a model for all other Firestones!

They attempted to rip me off to the tune of 2800 bucks telling me that i needed front and rear brakes complete including rotors and calibers. It took them 3 hours for the mechanic to figure out that he had no idea where the pulsation was coming from. I told them to put the car back together and i paid the 15 bucks for the privilege. Went to Sears in Aviation mall it took the mechanic all of 5 minutes to figure out it was a warped rotor. The entire repair with a set of new tires was 1050.00 DO NOT TRUST THESE CLOWNS AT FIRESTONE ESPECIALLY THE MANAGER WITH THE SICK LITTLE SMILE WHEN HE GETS CAUGHT ROBBING YOU. RUB FROM THIS PLACE GO TO SEARS THEU ARE HONEST GUYS.

so my husband brought my car into firestone to get it inspected and he got a call a little later saying when they had it on the lift that my power steering pump leaked completely and that it would be 1400 to fix...1st it hasnt had ANY leaks at all and for it just to up and suddenly break? and secondly i had a mechanic 2 months before do a full tune up and nothing was wrong with it..so anywhoo i got in touch with the mechanic who originally worked on my car and he said that it sounded fishy on how all of a suddenly it would break when it has been perfectly fine until now..so i highly recommend not to go there unless you want to get your car ruined

The people who work at Firestone, up to this point at least, have been fairly honest with me. I get that they need to sell their products and services to the customer, but the staff here will never push something you dont need, and will suggest what you do need instead and give facts and figures to back it up. On another note, I was recently unsatisfied with an alignment and balance they had done, and with no questions asked, they rescheduled me to look at, and fix, what was wrong. Great customer service over the phone and in person. I would take my car back here over my dealership (Nemer) or other chains any day.

We recently got a flat 300 miles from home and Firestone was the only dealer open in Glens Falls on a Sunday. Their representative (Mike I think) was very helpful and truthful about the need to replace rather than repair the tire, which he was able to locate and replace within 24 hours. He was professional and personable, even when we called him several times for updates. The only negatives were that they had trouble locating a matching tire, but that was no fault of Firestones, and there is limiting seating in their cramped waiting room. They overall seem to be an honest and knowledgeable operation. TRS Philly

I guess this goes without saying with mechanics, but one should always read the estimate carefully and ask questions. I forgot that because I found a trustworthy local mechanic. Of course, then you get a nail in your tire vacationing in upstate New York and get smacked with a $30 distracted tax. My fault really.

$1400 for a fuel pump and $230 just for the diagnostics (scanning with a computer)?! You have to be kidding me! Stay away from these guys, they will try to rip you off. I had my car towed home instead and bought the fuel pump for $17 on eBay, having learned a $230 lesson.

I purchased 3 tires, the mount balance and other fees added $100.00 extra to the cost. Was charged for state inspection that failed, fixed what they said needed. Brought back and was charged again. I will not go back and would never recommend anybody to trust them!!
