Ive had re-occuring problems with this guy. Once, I was getting an oil change at a local Valvoline, and the technician noticed some dark substance in my coolant reservoir. He told me to get it checked out just in case, for it could be a sign that oil is leaking from a crack in a seal of the head gasket. I took this to Kevin at Upstate Onsite to perform the necessary tests and he jumped on the opportunity to convince me that my head gasket MUST be replaced, $2,500 he quoted me to do the work to make my vehicle safe again. He made it seam like my truck was a ticking time bomb, unsafe to drive with my children. When it comes to this kind of money, I took it for a second opinion. I was shocked for them (second opinion mechanics) to inform me that the leak-down test had indicated that NO oil was leaking and that my seals were tight and strong. They told me that cracks in the head gasket arent even common in my make and model of truck, and that my truck was safe and good to go. Ive put 3,000 miles on my vehicle since then, and my truck is still running strong. Just because I dont know much about automotive repair, does NOT give him the right to take advantage of the uninformed.

Awful experience with this business. Towed there (by motor-club) in October of 2013 as vehicle was completely without power, was told that power loss was due to a "bad battery." Diagnostic was performed on battery and alternator and new battery bought through Upstate - charged $227.90 in total. Towed to Upstate On-Site again January of 2014 for the same problem. Told that the battery that -they- sold me was "bad" and was replaced for free. Upstate then attempted to charge me $45 for the diagnostic - the issue was argued by my knowledgeable and savvy partner and the fee was waived. Upstate also refused to release the receipt for the "new" battery that was installed when asked. Immediately headed to a corporate run auto parts store and had the alternator & battery diagnosed (for free). Diagnostician determined that the battery Upstate installed to replace the battery they sold me was bad and needed replacement. Avoid this business at all costs, and do not be fooled by wolves in sheeps clothing.
