I have had main sewer line problems for many years. Once again it backed up and I needed to call a plumber to come and snake my sewer line. The first thing that I loved is they told me the estimated price over the phone. I could not get any other plumbing company to tell me that. Secondly, they sent a guy by the name of Kyle who was very professional but also friendly. He also was educational as he showed me my cast iron pipes as well as my clay pipes with a camera as he cleared the roots in the pipes and explained everything that I was seeing. The camera and equipment were top of the line ( they used a jetting machine to break up the roots)and I could see what the clogging issue was and what needs to be fixed. Kyle went out of his way to explain everything to me and was happy to answer any questions I had. He also did a fantastic job of cleaning up. Lastly he talked highly about his company. Anyone who was with him could tell that he loves working for Roto-Rooter. I feel like they are honest and do a great job and I will go to them the next time I have any issues or need other plumbing work done. Thanks so much Roto-Rooter, I can now take a shower again, wash my dishes and run the water!

My sump pump burned out and my basement flooded. I called at 2pm on a Saturday. At 6:30, still no word so I called again, and then yet again at 7pm. Finally a man came, installed a new sump pump and the water started to drain but very loudly. The next day I checked and the new sump pump had been installed on top of debris. When I removed the debris, the pump was no longer crazy loud, but didnt seem to be suctioning anymore either. Also, the old sump pump was still in the crock and was jammed against the new one, not allowing the floater to actually float. Although all of my belongings were in totes, many tipped and I lost tons of precious memories and will be unable to afford the quote to get the basement professionally cleaned.(Roto Rooter sent someone to quote) Im a single mom and now I have to take more time off from work to have them come back out and remove the old pump and check to make sure the new one is still working after the suction was blocked and somehow find time to get the rest of my stuff out of the basement so I can start the cleaning process. The nightmare continues. I gave them 2 stars because tat least he new pump did get the water out.

We started out the week of June 1st with a suddenly slow moving sewer line. My husband couldnt remove the clean out cover no matter what we tried as it was plastic and just shredded under pressure. So after fiddling with it on and off for 2 days We thought to try and do it ourselves. Now knowing that ANY project my husband attempts no matter how small turns into a HUGE project. We decided to call Roto-Rooter ( I had used them before). The receptionist was great and got us a great plumber, Derrich S. He quickly analyzed the problem, gave me a quote, and started work on my OK. He was great! He even stated that he read the notes from the previous visit some 6-7 yrs ago. After setting up he removed lots of tree roots and then sent the camera down. He cleaned out the roots a few more times till the line was spotless. Derrich explained the problems and why and where the roots were coming from.He advised us on what to do and all other options as the roots will return over and over. Overall it was a great experience. Roto rooter has a great plumber in Derrich! You will hear from us to fix the problem permanently. We liked you on face book and following on twitter.

Today was the fourth time I have used ROTO-ROOTER in the past three years, and it is the fourth time I have written a review on them, The 1st three reviews I gave were 5 star. Not this one. I did love this company a couple years ago. But that was before they charged me over $170.00 to put in a double wax seal under my toilet. The guy used a common Johni-Ring Without Sleeve Toilet Wax Ring that sells for $1.99 each at any big box store. It took him 10 minutes to remove the toilet, install the wax rings and re-bolt the toilet down. Nothing in his way, clean and open room, turn off water at toiet, pull 2 nuts off bolts, lift toilet and move it 2 feet, remove old wax ring, install new, bolt toilet down, flush test a few times, take my money and leave. It took the guy twice as long to write a receipt than it did to do the work. Thats a flat out ripoff, no matter how you look at it. No skilled trade is worth that kind of money. TEN minutes of easy work for $170.00 . Maybe $75.00 - - $90.00 total would be a fair price, but not $170.00, thats outright crazy.

The serviceman that was dispatched to my home was very professional and polite; he took the time to listen to my concerns, provide me with an estimate for the work to be performed and fixed all of my problems, same day (blocked sewer line, running toilet and a sink that ran only when the toilet flushed). I do think that they are a bit expensive though not entirely unreasonable. Regardless, I still think Roto-Rooter is deserving of a 5 star review because of their professionalism, great customer service, expertise and fast, quality work. While Ive definitely found more affordable options in the past, I can say that it usually came accompanied with a few headaches in getting the work done to completion. I will definitely use Roto-Rooter in the future for what Id perceive as large or more complex jobs since I think it would be worth the expense knowing that itll get done right the first time and Id have to save up the $$$ for the work regardless of who I went to. For small/simple jobs, Id be more inclined to shop around for a better price.

We had water and dirt coming out of a drain on the floor of our laundry room so called RotoRooter. They came very quickly and found that our pipes under ground had rotted over the years and now they were dumping all water from kitchen and laundry room into the ground instead of piping it to the sewer. The team had to work in a crawl space on hands and knees, breaking up cement, and removing old pipe and stone from crawl space, up flight of stairs and outside. Very dirty job, but the team was always pleasant and never complained. They found additional problem in laundry room and had to move cabinets, washer and dryer and laundry tub. Again, they had to break up the cement, remove pipe and stone. After the removal of everything, they installed new pipe, added new stone (after having to go to the store to buy it), and then finish with new cement. Great job, great team, and now I can sleep at night knowing this will not happen again. I would recommend them to anyone.

Great experience!!... We needed a plumber immediately, after calling another plumber (mr rooter) in the middle of the night who confirmed theyd be there within the hour... never showed up, and refused our calls in the morning after us waiting 8 hours, we called the Roto-rooter plumber in Rochester. The plumber (Jack) was there within the hour. He was great. He gave a thorough assessment of the situation an gave us our options and all possible outcomes of what we were dealing with. He was very polite, efficient, experienced and even cleaned up afterward. He gave great suggestions to try to avoid our back up from happening again. I would give roto-rooter 10 stars if possible, and Id definitely recommend them to friends and family.. Theres nothing better than dealing with a company who not only knows what they are doing, but also sends someone who can communicate well with a struggling family in need of help. Thank you!!
