Overall: I think they do good work, but lack some follow through on the customer service. This is my second time in. First time was troubleshooting a lack of windshield wiper fluid pressure. I had already cleaned the nozzles and ensure there was flow coming from each hose, but could not find the source of the problem for weak flow. They figured out there was a kink in the hose, added some plastic part to fix it, and charged me an hr of labor ($70) and about $5 of parts. I thought an hr of labor was a little on the high side and asked Ed but he said it actually took a little over an hr. "At least it is fixed", I thought to myself. I brought my other vehicle in this time mainly to diagnose a rubbing noise for my brakes. While dropping off the vehicle, I realized I probably needed an oil change and asked how much it would be. Ed said it would be fifty something dollars (he gave an exact amount close to $58-59 but dont remember). I went home and checked my records and my car WAS due for an oil change so I called back and asked him to complete that at same time since it was an excellent price for a synthetic oil change. They figured out the brake problem quickly and called me. Turns out my rear rotors and brake pads were touching metal to metal and would need to be replaced. I checked average prices for that service and found his prices to be within reasonable range and authorized the service, asking him to specifically save the broken parts as I wanted to see the damage. Within 24 hours, they completed the service. I called to ask if I could pick it up after hours as long as I paid over the phone. When going over the price, Ed said he had to add 6.5 quarts instead of the 4.4 quarts per the manual and would therefore be charging me an extra $15-20. I thought this was odd and asked how could my car need an extra 2 quarts than whatever manual he was using designated. Ed said it does sound weird and looked it up again and admitted that the first time he looked, he read the wrong specs and therefore quoted me the price for only 4.4 quarts. I asked if he would meet me halfway on the difference of price since it was his mistake in quoting. He said "No, but if you would like I will take the 2 quarts out of your car if you dont want to pay the new price."... I was floored at such a lack of basic customer service. He could have at least taken $5 off. You should do something positive for your customer when you make a mistake. That is Customer Service 101. Not wanting to drive a car that is 2 quarts under-filled of oil, I reluctantly agreed to the charges. After hanging up, I called back 10 minutes later while Ed was with a customer and asked the male that answered the phone if he would make sure to get a message to Ed for me to put the broken/trash parts of the brakes in the back cargo area of my vehicle. He said he would no problem. I picked up my vehicle and there were no broken parts inside. My gut says these arent bad guys since their prices seemed fair and the two times I brought my car in, they fixed it within 24 hours. That being said, customer service matters and Im not happy with the lack of follow through. He should have met me halfway since it was his mistake. I didnt come in and ask for the price of 4.4 quarts of oil and then change my request to 6.5. He did. And since I know nothing about cars (other than they need oil and gas every now and again) I want the parts so I can bring them to my neighbor who is more mechanically minded than me. That helps me not to be taken advantage of.

Went in looking to have them drill out a snapped bolt. Originally, they wanted to schedule me one week in advance. I inquired about 3 days in advance, and they scheduled me for then. Ok, seems normal right? But, when I come in 3 days later, I watch the front desk worker schedule someone (a local man) for the day-of, for labor more intense than mine. I was in the shop before this man. I then watch his vehicle go through the service that he requested, BEFORE MINE! He pays $56 for an oil change and tire rotation; well under the $70/ hour, which I am positive they will charge me, at the minimum. Shortly after, the front desk worker asks me if my ride is going to make it. He misunderstood me upon my arrival, because I never mentioned dropping my car off, for a single bolt to be drilled out. It seems to me as though he intended to further delay my repair, on the open schedule of his. Anyway, they take my vehicle in. It took them 1.5 hours at $70/hour. Ok, overpriced and took longer than I expected, but I still expected standard quality work. Thats where I was wrong, again! I check the new nut and bolt that they installed on my intercooler, in place of the one I snapped off in the hole. I am able to turn the nut and bolt with my fingers. They applied no more than 5lbs of torque to a bolt that holds a vital piece of my engine together. I was so furious that I did not go back in. I fixed it myself in their parking lot and left. That was my first and last visit to Watertown Auto Repair on 283. I would not recommend them to any military members or non-locals. I believe I was discriminated against.

Wow, seeing those other reviews make me wonder if those customers were overexaggerating - my experience with Mr. Sepko and his staff was anything BUT what they described! They were great about getting my car in, were honest and fast, (considering the amount of cars in their lot to be fixed, which should say something in itself, they are sought out for their service!), and there were no mistakes made - with my car, the service in the office OR the shop workers, and I continue to do business with Watertown Auto Repair as well as recommend them to all my female friends, knowing they wont be "taken advantage of", parts needed or cost-wise. You girls need to get a grip!

Ed and his team are terrific, knowledgeable, and hard working. Ive used them many times. They are honest and straightforward. On one occasion, I got off work early and decided to wait with my truck while they did some work on it. Ed had his team expedite the work, so I didnt have to wait too long. I strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a good mechanic!
