IN NOVEMBER 2016 AND FEBRUARY 2017 I HAD 2 MAJOR PLUMBING EMERGENCIES IN THE OLDER HOME I PURCHASED LAST JULY 2016 IN SOUTH BUFFALO. IN NOVEMBER 2016, STEVEN WOLTER ARRIVED FOR THE 1ST EMERGENCY AND HE IS AN EXCELLENT TALENTED TECHNICIAN OF YOURS, WHO DESERVES A RAISE AND AN AWARD FOR THE SKILLED HARD WORK HE COMPLETED, ON A VERY COLD DAY. HE SPENT 5-6 HOURS ON AN EXTREMELY DIFFICULT AREA TO WORK IN, WITH HAVING TO REMOVE AND REPLACE NUMEROUS ROTTEN KITCHEN SINK PARTS THAT I WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF WHEN I PURCHASED THE HOUSE, AND MAJOR LEAKING HAD BEEN TAKING PLACE ALL THE WHILE, AND STARTED TO DESTROY MY KITCHEN CUPBOARDS AND ADDED TO THE COMPLICATED MESS IN MY BADLY DECAYED KITCHEN PLUMBING, THAT EVEN POWER TOOLS COULD NOT BUDGE, STEVE HAD A REAL HARD JOB ON HIS HANDS TO COMPLETE. I DISCOVERED EVERYTHING BY ACCIDENT ONE DAY WHEN I REACHED INTO MY CUPBOARD FOR A SALAD BOWL. STEVE BASICALLY REBUILT MY ENTIRE KITCHEN SINK AND PLUMBING, COMPLETELY. I DO NOT OWN ANY COMPUTER OR HAVE INTERNET AT MY HOME, AND HAVE VERY LIMITED TIMES AT WORK TO USE MY WORK COMPUTER TO GET TO MY GOOGLE SCREEN, AND COULD NOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET TO THE CORRECT ROTOR-ROOTER SCREEN TO WRITE A REVIEW FOR STEVEN W. ANY EARLIER THAN NOW. KEVIN FROM ROTOR-ROOTER RECENTLY SENT ME AN EMAIL TO EXPLAIN HOW TO GET TO THE SCREEN I NEEDED TO GO TO, AFTER I CONTACTED HIS COMPANY IN FEBRUARY 2017, ( WITH MY DILEMMA ABOUT NOT BEING ABLE TO RESPOND BY EMAIL CONCERNING THEIR SERVICE THEY PROVIDED ME IN BOTH NOVEMBER 2016 AND FEBRUARY 2017. ) THE 2ND EMERGENCY TOOK PLACE UNEXPECTEDLY ALSO, IN WHICH MY TOILET PLUMBING WAS COMPLETELY WORN AND MAJOR LEAKING STARTED ALL OVER THE BATHROOM, THROUGH THE FLOOR, INTO THE BASEMENT CEILING, AND ONTO THE BASEMENT FLOOR, AS WELL AS THE TOILET NOT SHUTTING OFF AT ALL UNTIL I TURNED THE WATER COMPLETELY OFF. THOMAS PAGE, ANOTHER HIGHLY SKILLED TECHNICIAN OF ROTOR-ROOTER, ARRIVED ON THE SCENE WHEN I CALLED FOR HELP AND REPLACED EVERYTHING THAT WAS NEEDED IN A TIMELY FASHION, SO I COULD HAVE USE OF MY BATHROOM AGAIN. I ROTATE SHIFTS AROUND THE CLOCK, ON MY FULL-TIME JOB, AND WHEN THESE CATASTROPHES WITH MY HOUSE HAPPEN SUDDENLY, I DO NOT HAVE TIME TO SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS, I NEED A 24-HOUR, 7 DAY A WEEK BUSINESS, INCLUDING HOLIDAYS, AT NO EXTRA COST, FOR AFTER HOURS, SUCH AS ROTOR-ROOTER IS, TO JUST COME OUT AND HELP ME. GIVE THOMAS PAGE A RAISE AND AWARD TOO FOR REPRESENTING THE SAME CONSISTENT EXCELLENCE YOUR COMPANY EMPLOYEES PROVIDE FOR OUR COMMUNITY. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT ROTOR ROOTER ALSO COMES OUT TO REPLACE HOT-WATER HEATERS AND FURNACES, NOT JUST DRAINS AND PLUMBING ASSIGNMENTS. THIS IS GOOD TO KNOW SINCE THOSE ITEMS ALSO DO NOT GIVE WARNING WHEN THEY BREAK DOWN AND STOP WORKING. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING A POLITE RELIABLE SKILLED COMPANY.

Got over-rained last week – like everyone else in the Buffalo area, too much lawn saturation and my sump pump picked a bad day to pack it in -- basement flooded. Called Roto-Rooter after a wicked weekend. Luckily got Albert & Max, (I think the younger plumber still picking up the masters tricks.) After I left them to their crafts, I could still hear from upstairs many references to "do you have it level" & "its sitting as even as its going to get" – it was good to know they had their agenda for perfecting installation of new pump. When I saw finished product – terrific job – looked considerably different from my old set-up as if new one ‘meant business! Had mentioned earlier that hot water heater ‘out - and I had read manual which said "if theres a chance any part of tank had been underwater, call authorized . . .", etc. – My guys gave me an estimate on the repair but got it going with enough ease and said "no charge" – appreciated! Albert pointed out the "oddish" hard rubber hoses attached up on the walls – not really "kosher" with home plumbing codes. Theyve been there forever - inherited from prev. owners – not to mention 3 separate hoses running from various appliances and emptying in sump pump – Albert told me it wasnt that hard a fix – so I was ready to schedule a new appt., figuring theyd done what Id originally requested and had to get on their way – but he said they might as well get it done — then! Took a bit over an hour, but cut out all excess rubber hosing and routed washer and water basin through existing pipes, got rid of everything emptying into sump – and carted out the superfluous hosing. Clutter gone (after some 40 years). At end, I made them repeat their names and asked if I could specifically request THEM next time – Albert went to cab – to give me his personal card. Terrific job – very grateful about the extra time he & Max gave me to get the routing and "clutter" problem solved. Really Pleased!!

I talked to your company on Thursday morning. I told her I had a gas leak in the crawl space under my house. The gas company shut off the gas at the box. She told me some one would be there between 3-7pm. No one showed up or called. I called and talked to the dispatcher around 7:15. He said no one would be coming out. I asked why they hadnt called me or called the warranty company so they could schedule some one else. He said "sorry". We scheduled some one to come out Friday between 3:30 and 7pm. Jon showed up around 4pm. But he didnt have a gas detector, so he couldnt fix it. I explained to the woman I talked to in the scheduling that it was a gas leak under the house.. I also told the dispatcher the same thing. Jon said that they would probably be able to come back Sat morning to fix it. We talked, he made some calls and left. Lance showed up around 6pm. He fixed it. I am not sure why a gas leak under some ones house would not be considered a priority! I explained we had a gas furnace, hot water tank, dryer and stove. I also explained that I have a handicapped son. No one seemed to care at all. Friday morning it was 36, raining and windy. It is a good thing I have a pellet stove. But I only had 1 1/2 bags of pellets. The stores don"t sell them after March. No hot water to shower with or even to wash your hands with. I couldnt even heat up water on the stove to use. I had to pay the $100.00 deductible through my warranty company. Lance took $50.00 off the bill, but I still had to pay the whole deductible. So you gave the warranty company the discount and not the person that was treated poorly. Jon and Lance were very good. I am very disappointed in your company!!!

My son and I share a 2 family home in Sloan. We found water in the basement and realized the sewer was backing up. The inside caps threads were stripped and allowing the water to come in. We called Roto-Rooter and they were willing to come saturday night. But that meant someone would have to stay up till midnight to let them in! So we called back and set the appointment for sunday morning between 9 and 12. At 8:30 my doorbell rang and there stood Chad. We went down to the basement and he assessed the problem, told me the price and got to work. Within the hour he saw that my pipe was full of roots. I have a hedge and a large tree in my front yard. It took him a while to get those roots out of the pipe and into a container that he brought. I suggested my garbage but he said he would dispose of everything. When the pipe was clear, he recommended RootX to kill the rest of whatever roots may still be in there. He told me the price and assured me that this would definitely be a sensible solution AND that I should have this done next year and the year after that do both the RootX and the snake just to keep everything running like it should. Chad was pleasant and informative. It took 3 hours to do the entire job. When he was done HE cleaned up and made sure the new cap was tight. When he left I had the feeling that I had done something good for my house and that keeping it up in the future years would insure that it would stay that way. I would recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone that needs a great experience for a horrible problem. Thank you Chad, and were your mask when pouring the RootX.
