The only reason that Im giving Dependable Service Plumbing (DS Plumbing) only 4 stars and not 5, is that I have not used them as my plumbing company yet. I will be using them for all my future needs because they "did the right thing" when they sent a pressure washing company out to clean my entire driveway, when only three small spots were unintentionally put on the corner of my driveway when my neighbor was having a replacement water heater installed. The DS Plumbing truck was parked down by the corner of my driveway, and I called to complain to Laura (she handled my complaint professionally) about how many contractors have soiled my driveway while doing work for me or my neighbors. She sent someone (I think Tommy, the owner) out to look at my driveway right away, and he had the pressure wash guy out to clean not only the spots off, but my entire driveway, including my front porch! This kind of professional behavior is rare, if sad to say, since I started living in Murrells Inlet eight years ago. My neighbors, John & Patty, were very pleased when they showed my DS Plumbings work of taking out their old hot water heater from their attic, and putting the new one in their garage. They especially liked the drain from the new unit going right into their utility sink. They were also happy with the electrician that DS brought in to do all the new electrical work. Their price for all that work was very reasonable compared to the plumber that I hired to just replace my old water heater in my garage. Kudos, to that kind of integrity, and unique value proposition for the customer.

I called to request that they replace the two-bowl kitchen sink with a single-bowl sink I purchased. After describing the project in detail to their office, they sent out a plumber. The plumber who came (and was good- hes the reason I gave 2 stars and not 1) informed me that they would not install the sink because they dont work with granite countertop installations! (Too much liability they said.) Basically, I got to pay $59 dollars for them to come out and refuse to install the sink! At the end of the day the guy manning the desk should have known that and saved me the time, trouble and expense of engaging them.

got in reasonable agreement with company, had no problem with their work, just was disagreement at pricing, but they promised to fix it
