This place is an absolute joke. Took my truck to them about a year ago to have the transmission rebuilt, despite the awful turnaround time and the non-competitive pricing, they got the job done. They promised four free oil changes with the transmission rebuild service, I go there to get an oil change and they say they cant do it because the corporation took over the business and that was something offered by the owner. My truck was leaking oil from the front of the transmission, so I bring it to them to diagnose it and hopefully fix it since it is under warranty still. They bring the truck into the garage for less than two minutes and then bring it out and tell me that it isnt leaking and that it is fine. So I say "ok, it must have stopped". WRONG! I take my truck back home into the garage and come back out an hour later and there is transmission fluid dripping all over the ground, and I call them back up and tell them that its still leaking and Steve replies simply by saying he probably cant do anything about it because I have a lift kit and big tires on it... He doesnt even take credit for falsely diagnosing my transmission leak. 2 days later I am stranded at a restaurant at 10PM, the front pump seal breaks and all my transmission fluid spills out, the truck wont engage into gear, and Ive got to stand in the freezing cold and wait for AAA to come tow my truck home. Steve finally agrees to "fix" my truck, I dropped it off Friday morning, it is now Monday afternoon and they havent even touched my vehicle yet. EVEN THOUGH, when we called on Saturday Steve claimed that they were working on it... He still continues to blame all the trouble on my lift kit... I strongly advise if you have any transmission issues that you do not take it here, regardless of what type of warranty they offer you, dont fall for it. They screwed me over and lied to me simply because they didnt want to waste their labor working on something that they knew was covered under warranty. I dont even feel comfortable knowing that my vehicle is left with these ignorant people.

My boyfriend and I recently moved to the Raleigh/Cary area and were direly in need of someone to fix a car with transmission problems. We decided to go to AAMCO because they specialize in that area and also because of the good reviews we read online. The boyfriend has a 9am-6pm job, so I was left doing most of the exchanging of information and office visits. Matt (owner) and his coworkers were exceptionally knowledgable and informative. They were diligent in their work, but also took the time to explain to me (a woman with very little knowledge of cars) what they were doing and why it was necessary. Matt was honest in his analysis of the car and showed confidence in his approach while also making us aware of the unpredicatblility margin that cars unfortunately have. They were able to get the car on the road in two days at a much lower price than we predicted. I returned that same week for small repairs and an oil change… and then again the next week with another car. I feel I could invite any of these guys over to my house for thanksgiving dinner already! I would highly recommend this AAMCO to anyone that is looking for a reliable and efficient garage.

After my transmission failed, and I was told by 4 separate auto shops that they couldnt work on my car, AAMCO saved the day. I had my car towed in, told them the problems I was having, and left it there. They got back to me promptly with the issues that they had found, and I gave them the go-ahead to do more in-depth diagnostics so they could tell me exactly what they were going to do and how much it would cost. They cut out some of the labor costs since the transmission wouldnt be in the way for a couple of the items they were fixing, and then completed the work ahead of schedule. A couple days after I got the car back, one of the sensors went bad, and since they warranty all of their work and parts, it was fixed the next day, free of charge. My car runs more smoothly than it has in years and it was all done at a reasonable price. I completely trust their work, and have already sent one of my friends to them when their car had problems. Justin is personable and accommodating, while making sure all of the work is top notch and on time. I cant express how much I recommend this AAMCO.

For the past three years, Ive been looking for a reliable and knowledgable mechanic. I found my answer with AAMCO transmissions located in Cary, NC. Matt was straight to the point and diagnosed the problem in a very short span. I anticipated spending over $3500 on my 2005 Nissan Maxima, but Matt and his team, through their wisdom, were able to find a solution that was considerably less than anticipated. This location knows how to find the root of the problem and find a solution that truly helps out the consumer in a ethical fashion. I was always updated throughout the process and felt in touch through every step. I bonded with the team and will use this location for as long as Im in the triangle area. You should do the same. There is a reason why this location was voted BEST IN THE SOUTH by AAMCO in customer service. Take advantage of this courteous shop.

I came to this AAMCO back in september and had some transmission work done under the old management. I was told I had leaks and that they had been repaired. Then 4 months later I was having transmission problems. Took my Jeep to the same AAMCO and was surprised to find out this AAMCO had changed leadership. Matt listened to what I had to say then lifted my jeep and took me under the Jeep and physically showed me what was wrong. I knew from there I was at the right place just from his attention to detail and can do attitude. He gave me a quote and the job ended up being larger than anticipated. However, instead of jacking up the price. Matt stuck to his word, gave me a large discount and I now have a jeep with an engine in excellent shape. Trustworthy, Attention to Detail, and Quality work is what you can expect from Matt and his team at AAMCO in Cary.

My sons transmission was in need of repair. He couldnt afford a new car. Justin, answered the phone even after hours, after the snowstorm a couple weeks ago. Justin was professional, attentive and explained everything in detail. He made me feel extremely confident in his work. The amount for a transmission rebuild is an expense that we questioned ourselves in doing. The price he quoted and details on what it involved was right on target and more than comparable to any other quote we received. In fact it was much better than any other quote we had at other places. He worked after hours when the store wasnt open. I am so happy with his work and professionalism. The car is running like a top. The best thing we ever did was to take my sons car to this location. Thanks Justin!!!
