Started working with Packard in February, by the end of May had a plan. Moved at a snails pace because we were told they were busy, and we had trouble hiring a general contractor because we couldnt have a plan showing the layout for moving the utilities. Wouldnt provide the plan and the material list unless they were paid 1/2 up front, but we didnt know what the number was to pay until mid-May. So they want you to pay before you know what you are buying, and specifically what is included. No price list for materials or a description of the cabinets and equipment to be included. They will review with you, but you have nothing as a contract to take with you. Strange business practice. Quoted $40,000+ for approximately 18 cabinets, not custom made! Thats some expensive cabinetry. Quoted over $3,000 to install same, and thats not two days work for two guys, arguably one day for two workers. Ive installed cabinets for a large custom cabinet company. Referred me to several general contractors that were outrageously expensive, let me say misrepresenting the amount of work involved in relation to the charge. $10,000 to move plumbing and electrical 4 feet to a island, rebuild a 4 foot wall with drywall work and install cabinets. Worst of all Kevin, the owner, defended the pricing, saying "we are well paid to do the work" and "we work with them regularly". Code for we dont want to offend them because we want to maintain a relationship with them. Another general contractor referred by Packard Cabinetry quoted a price that was high but we were willing to bite the bullet, and then backed out a week later saying he got a larger job, and told us in an email he cant do the work without explanation, classless, then when pressed he said he had another job. Kevin the owner thought that was acceptable and that was not a poor reflection on his company for the referral. Clearly unaccountable and uninvolved in the process. Employee we were working with quit the company when I called to inquire about a full estimate. What does that say about how they treat people?

We just finished a major kitchen renovation (read that as tear down to the walls and incorporating an adjacent laundry room) at the end of 2015 and worked with Packard Cabinetry in Hendersonville. It was a project that my husband and I talked about for many years and Packard made all of our dreams and ideas a wonderful reality. We began collaborating with Brodie Smith in the spring; we had used Packard for a master bath redesign several years ago so we already had an established relationship. Planning and designing continued to mid-summer and Brodie put a huge amount of effort into helping us stay within budget, including changing the original cabinet selection to a less costly line. We both agreed the second approach was even more attractive than the first. He also was very creative on helping us stay within budget with counter top materials (granite and quartz) and sourcing. He made multiple trips with us to look at these products and provided thoughtful advice. Since we had appliances that were still functional and would fit into the new color scheme, we re-used most of them. Brodie was very supportive of that approach. We even repurposed a china cabinet from the old kitchen and he helped us ensure it worked and fit in with the design. Kevin Smith and his team did a marvelous job of installing the cabinetry. Picky perfectionists all, and always left the job site neat at the end of the day. Our general contractor was Mike Karaman of Karaman Properties, who came to our attention several years ago through Packard. Being without a kitchen during renovation is not fun, and Mike ensured the job moved forward at a record pace!

I would recommend Packard Cabinetry without reservation. We just finished a total renovation of our kitchen. The old kitchen was dated and inefficient and was completely torn out - floor, cabinets, counters, appliances, lighting, everything. We worked with Brodie Smith in designing a beautiful new, user-friendly kitchen that we just love. We had never done a renovation of any sort before, and despite doing a lot of research, it was still a daunting task. We gave Brodie a general idea of what we wanted to accomplish and after several sessions we arrived at an excellent layout. The next step was cabinet selection, which Brodie endured patiently while my wife and I went back and forth over the merits of various styles and finishes. We finally opted for Bremtown 500 maple cabinets with a painted pearl finish. The quality of the cabinets is outstanding, and the finish is beautiful. The cabinets are not stock items that are sitting in a warehouse - they are made to order with the specific dimensions in Brodies design. They took six weeks to arrive, during which the tear out of the old kitchen was done, appliances and countertops ordered, and the new floor installed and electrical and plumbing reworked. The cabinets were put in by Packards Kevin Smith, who is meticulous and who pays attention to the smallest detail. Everything is new in the kitchen, but the cabinets are the the "main event". They make the kitchen look like it belongs in a design catalog.

We recently built a new home. We met with at least five companies to provide and install our kitchen. We happened upon Packard Cabinetry when driving to another kitchen appointment. We double backed, walked into the showroom and met Rob Weeter. Without an appointment, Rob took the time to speak with us and then set up a proper meeting. Of course our initial choices proved to be out of our budget but Rob worked with us to get us exactly what we wanted at a price that we could manage, in fact, we were even able to add in the cabinets and countertops for our two bathrooms. Rob and Packard were nothing but professional in handling every detail of this process. If you have found Packard Cabinetry, you can stop your search, this is the company you want to us for your cabinetry needs. Rob Weeter is the best too, knows his stuff, works hard to listen and get exactly what you want, making smart suggestions for the perfect kitchen. Plus, hes a nice guy and easy to deal with. Thanks Rob and Packard, we LOVE our kitchen and baths!

Overall I would say high quality, good price, and terrific service. We remodeled our kitchen as part of a $400K renovation on our house. We contacted three cabinet makers and ended up using Packard Cabinetry even though they are an hour’s drive from Greenville, SC. In working with them, they understood what we were looking for and gave great guidance on features and layout. They made the drive to Greenville to assess the space and take measurements. When our cabinets came in before we were ready to install, they stored them for us. I’m so glad we had them handle the installation other than using our general contractor. We used reclaimed heart pine for our floors. They’re beautifully rustic, but don’t offer a smooth, level surface to work on. It was exacting work, but my cabinets are perfectly aligned and the appliances went in without a hitch - as if the cabinet were built around them. My kitchen turned out beautifully and really sets the tone for the entire house.
