I live across from the A-1 Storage on Durant. For several weeks, their electronic message board read: "Please Pray for Brad Miller." Brad Miller is our areas congressman. I understand that private businesses have every right to post their opinions on their property, but why is a self-storage company commenting on political races? They eventually changed it to "Please Pray for our Troops" (or something to that effect). The latter is obviously less alienating, but I tire of people thinking bumper stickers and electronic messages are a way to solve our countrys problems. Such a message makes me think that I, a Brad Miller supporter, would not be welcome at the storage facility closest to my home.

I couldnt agree with the other reviewers more. When the place first opened, the sign had business-related things on it, like "Free Truck With Rental" and such. But for the last many years, its been one annoying, alienating religious message after another. Its creepy and desperate. And I specifically remember the "Pray for Brad Miller" sign, too. There was something very threatening about it. I, for one, will never patronize this place. I feel like they would rather refuse my business anyway. Theres another storage facility just a block to the west anyway.

Just checking the area for storage and caught the anti-Christian reviews posted below. Not one of the posts reviewing this facility actually comment on the business or its purpose. If the owner opts to voice his opinion, which is his right under the Constitution, that is his right. Posting reviews to bash that is and claiming it to be "threatening" is plain stupid.

We have had our stuff there for many years. We have always been treated respect and have never had a problem. As for the sign and the Christian message; its his constitutional right. We have never been approached about faith and wouldn t have been offended anyway. But like the other post said; the review should be about quality/service etc.

Owner sees his electronic billboard as his opportunity to proselytize. The sign right now reads: "Faith in evolution ends badly. Death and grave." Is this a threat? Cant believe they get away with this. So ignorant.

I love the fact that the owner displays different Gospel sayings on his billboard. He is speaking and representing the truth when it comes to this matter. Jesus IS the only way! Keep staying strong!
