My husband was expecting a package last Saturday and it was supposed to be there prior to 12pm. 2:45, still no package. I go downstairs and see a blank fedex slip on the door to my building. No name or unit number on it, I call FedEx to see if it belongs to me. I tell the rep its my husbands package and she told me I could pick it up at the Alexander Drive location. I arrive and the middle aged african-american lady proceeds to look up my package. Its under my husbands name, which he and I do not share. My license has my maiden name but my checkbook and credit card has his last name on it. She tells me I cant have the package because I dont have the same last name as him. I understand rules, but really? Im married. I ask if she wants to call him as she has his information and tells me shes not calling him and the bad attitude continues to escalate. Finally the manager comes over and I show him my card and my checkbook with his last name and he asks if I have a piece of mail or anything with my husbands full name on it. Why would I carry around his mail? Now shes fighting him. They finally concede and SCAN my ID so in case Im a crook, they can report me. I dont care, thats fine. Its just excessive. Im clearly not trying to steal some persons package, I was able to tell them my address, husbands name, phone number, who the package was from, where it was from etc and emails on my iPhone from the person shipping the product to me... Finally, she goes back to get my package. She takes FOREVER and is doing so on purpose. 10 minutes or so later she comes out and tells me to sign this sheet with probably 15 other signatures. I sign, of course my signature is not legible and neither is anyone elses. She starts laughing and raises her voice, "uh uh, no! you have to sign so we can read it." Now people are staring at her. I say, "can you read the rest of these names? Because I cannot. Would you like me to make up a new signature that I cant replicate in the future?" Shes getting ruder and ruder and finally I give up and print my name on top of my signature. It was such a waste of my time and the whole encounter was just her ridiculous attempt to assert authority and try to belittle me. This place is horrible.

Okay so story time. Had a package that needed a signature that was supposed to be delivered on Monday, waited all day but it says it will come until at least 8:00. Okay no problem, I had to take off work but I know I can sign for it at least. 6:30 comes around and I call asking if its still on the way, and apparently it was never sent out to be shipped but they said I could drive to get it. Fine no problem, mind you I live 1 hour away. I get there, apparently Im not able to receive the package because its locked in the truck. Disappointed but understanding since I know problems happen, so I call again to request that the package is held at the facility for Tuesday so I can pick it up on my lunch break, even though its another hour away ( just one way, 2 hour round trip ). I call before I head that way and was told yes you can come pick it up, and I get there and was told it was on the truck for delivery!! Visibly mad at this point I have to take off work ( again ) and miss a class to be sure I can sign for this dreaded package that has caused me so much time and money in gas. So I wait all day until 7:30 to find that its at the holding facility and was never delivered to me. This is unacceptable, as I have to make another trip up there tomorrow to receive something I have already paid for when it should have been done days ago. Never using FedEx again in my life. The front desk people at the facility are in no way to blame for this, its the people behind the scenes. The ones that dont have to see your face!

Overall: Rude, poor communication, and wrong address. The primary issue was not this locations fault as the online system had malfunctioned. I was attempting to set up a vacation hold for one package, but it began affecting a different package that was going to the same address. I tried to sort it out with the 800 number and they had referred me to this location where my package was at. When I got on the phone with the person at this location it took three tries to explain that there were two packages going to the same address, one had been incorrectly placed on vacation hold, and now I want to reschedule both packages deliveries for the correct date. The person I spoke with got impatient with me for her failure to understand basic customer service issues and questions. After the third time of her saying I would need someone 21 or older to sign, I told her my sister is 22 to which she sarcastically shot back "can I finish?" As the conversation continued she kept trying to have me call the 800 number again even though I told her each time I already had. I rarely leave negative reviews because no ones perfect and I make tons of mistakes every day but the overall poor communication skills and rudeness of this locations customer service was unsatisfactory. Update: In the end of the day they ended up delivering my package to the wrong house without getting anyone to sign for it (which they were supposed to do based on the type of shipping requested).

Terrible ! a pkg. sent to me priority overnight because it was perishable, was not delivered. After talking to 3 people, someone apologized. the first two wanted to see if I wanted to lodge a complaint against the driver and could pick it up at the station. I told them that was their job to manage their driver and they charged a lot of money for overnight priority, no signature was required AND their was no door tag left. Later found out that it was a new driver and he probably could not find the house. We get pkgs all the time! What kind of driver would take a priority overnight perishable delivery, with no signature required, would take it back without notifying anybody. The computer, when I checked their message said, customer not available or store closed. We are in a strictly residential area. Finally the 3rd person had the pkg delivered on Sat. Then Sat. afternoon my credit card company said they sent my new card out FedEX on Thurs for delivery on Friday. Did I recieve it? AAARGH I am still trying to get it from FedEx. It is supposedly on the truck. It is now 3:30 no card. I will never use FedEx. The gentlemen that I spoke to today was polite and apologetic so perhaps the card will come. I am still asking that anything that has to be shipped to me use UPS

Thus is a review about FedEx of Raleigh in general, not just this location. It never fails, EVERYTIME I have a package being shipped to me via FedEx I know there is going to be an issue. When possible I request anyone but FedEx, or Ill even pay extra to get delivery from anyone else. Its always so.ething, whether they send it to the wrong terminal, load it onto the wrong truck, mark as an incorrect address (even though the FedEx truck makes deliveries on my street almost everyday) there is - without fail - always an issue that causes deliver delays or sometimes the package bri g returned to the sender. All the other delivery companies never have an issue, UPS, USPS, TNT, DHL, Amazon Prime Independent Contractors, hell, even the Chinese Food and Pizza delivery drivers dont have an issue but FedEx does, EVERY time. Its really pathetic but also funny I guess how badly and consistently they fail at something they claim to be so good at. They need to take some direction from UPS and USPS, because those guys run circles around FedEx.
