I did some research on cleaners in the Wilmington area and chose Hangers-Williams because they seemed to use fewer chemicals. BIG MISTAKE. I took a skirt in to be dry cleaned and when I got it back, it had a huge hole in the front of it. It was completely unwearable - ruined. It seemed as if they were trying to hide it (there is no way the person cleaning it would not have seen the hole) because it was tucked in between all the other clothing I was picking up. I happened to look through all the clothes while I was standing there in front of them and noticed it. The manager came out and quickly tried to turn the situation around and blame me. I pointed out that their job as a dry cleaner is to be very delicate with clothing - that is why I bring it to them to clean! On another note, the other clothing I had cleaned did not even have basic stains cleaned out. I had to take a washcloth and get stuff off myself - after paying to have it done! I should also mention that getting reimbursed for the skirt has now taken almost 2 months and I still have not gotten reimbursed for it. They have had TERRIBLE customer service, tried to blame it on me, been extremely rude and unhelpful. For the safety of your clothing and for your peace of mind, DO NOT GO TO HANGERS-WILLIAMS CLEANERS.

My husband (fiancee at the time) needed some of his nice work shirts and ties to be cleaned and such, he said this was the only place he went so naturally I took them there....They did a nice job on the shirts and ties, however when time to pick up my items, some of the ties were missing!!!!! they did nothing about it, didnt even apologize or try to look for them or anything.....Wont go there anymore!

Williams Cleaners has been my favorite for years and even with living much closer to other cleaners, I still make the trip to Wilmington for their service. Family owned and operated and have been in business for generations. Nice to see a family business thrive and outlast all of the "here today gone tomorrow" businesses. Highly recommended.

Williams Cleaners has treated me well for years. Not all the branches are the same. Some offer home pickup/dropoff also (the one on South College at 17th is where you go to set it up).
