I work at the Business Center on Burnet Avenue for UC Health. The past week or so, a young man that has been running the Au Bon Pain in the Business Center has done an awesome job. When I go to the store at 7:30 everything is prepared and ready for the day. He pre-slices the bagels. He has the cream cheese already packaged in the refrigerator. The bagel and sweet treats are displayed beautifully. He put in work up front and it pays off in the long run. Everything is organized and ready for his purchasing public. Today, I go down at 7:30, nothing is set up. The girl running the store today is not prepared. She has no money. I go back at 8:45 thinking everything will be ready, and she has no cream cheese at all. She has run out of sugar for the coffee, and she is blaming her manager. Another customer made a comment that we are like the unwanted step children. I am sure we (the Business Center) provides alot of sales to the store. I am very disappointed today with Au Bon Pain. How can one individual do such an awesome job one day, and a different individual do such a terrible job the next. I want the young man back that was working at the Business Center.
