I was refered to beneFIT Studio by a close friend when looking for a stylist to do my wedding hair. I was scheduled with Rachel who was instantly professional, attentive, and friendly. She balanced confidence in her skills with flexibility and listening to what I was envisioning. In spite of only describing a general idea of what I wanted, she created a style even more beautiful than I imagined. I decided the next week that I wanted my hair colored, of course a little nervous because it was so close to the wedding. My color turned out better than it has at any salon in 10 years! It was a rich, natural color with amazing shine. The day leading up to my wedding I decided that I wanted to wear by hair down on my wedding day even though we had trialed a beautiful pony-tail style. When I arrived to the salon and let Rachel know, she said "okay" and got started without hesitation. I was not nervous about what she would produce because Rachel takes great care to get to know her clients and really knew that between me sharing my opinions and her natural skills that she would produce something amazing. The entire process of having her do my hair was so fun. She is funny, takes her time, and takes feedback very well. I cannot believe how much I loved (and still do) my wedding style. It was perfect. I received endless compliments from my wedding guests on my hair style (including other stylists!!) . In addition to being great with me, Rachel was fabulous with my sister who brought three pictures with her to the salon and described how she wanted Rachel to combine elements of all three styles. By the time she was finished with my sisters style, it was exactly what my sister wanted. Rachel combined all three perfectly and both of our styles lasted through the entire evening. I have been referring everyone that I can to Rachel and to beneFIT for the range of great services they offer. I had never done spraytan in my life but took a chance a few days before the wedding because I could not get rid of summer tan lines. It was natural, reasonably priced, and filled in the tan lines perfectly so that I could wear my strapless wedding dress. Liz did styles for my mother and maitron of honor and, like Rachel, produced beautiful styles for both women with very different at types of hair and personal styles. We had a great time at beneFIT on that very special day. It is a energetic, comprehensive, naturally well-lit salon with attentive and talented staff. I recommend them highly...OBVIOUSLY!

I am a previous employee of Benefit Salon & Spa, and I wanted to take a moment to express how much I adore Jocelyn Voyles (the owner), and the staff who make this Salon & Spa feel like a home. I recently moved to Chicago, which is why I left. I probably would have stayed a few more decades if I hadnt moved :) I absolutely love Benefit Salon & Spa, as it has been my home for the last two years. Jocelyn is not only a savvy business owner, but she is also a stellar hairstylist and extremely warmhearted human being. She cares more about her staff than any other boss Ive ever worked for. She even threw me a going away party before my depart to Chicago which I thought was incredibly sweet. The rest of the staff is incomparable. Rachel is probably the most altruistic human being Ive ever crossed paths with. She goes above an beyond to take care of her clients, and she is the most meticulous hairstylist Ive ever met. Lauren is the funniest person you will ever meet, and is full of life and positivity. Shes like the sister I never had. Her technical skills are on point, and I truly believe that nobody loves their clients more than Lauren. Angeline is a previous Aveda instructor, and has the sweetest demeanor you will ever stumble upon. Shes well versed in every facet of hair, and is an encyclopedia of knowledge. Shes basically an Aveda Scholar. The front desk staff is beyond personable, and truly care about all of the clients. Everyone, including the clients are basically family. There are not enough superlatives to describe Benefit Salon & Spa, so please dont hesitate to stop in and check it out for yourself. If youre looking for a Salon that feels like a home away from home, this is the place for you. Hopefully you fall just as much in love with Jocelyn and the rest of the staff as I have. Benefit also boasts a chic spa that offers a multitude of services, so be sure to inquire! I love you gals!

Im a guy. A guy who looks like biker trash most days Im not in a suit for work. Ive always felt weird getting my hair cut in a Salon as Im usually the only guy in there and at the same time I vowed to NEVER step foot in a Barber Shop again since the late 90s. Ive bounced between stylists in my younger days looking for that right person who gets me until I found Angeline. Angeline is my stylist at Benefit Salon and she gets me. Not only does she offer suggestions when Im thinking a new direction with my hair, but she does her homework outside of the salon to see what styles are out there in the world that would work well with my look and grooming habits. Ive never experienced this kind of care and attention to detail with anyone else which is why I am a fiercely loyal client of hers. Not only does Angeline work with my hair but also my beard. My beard, even more than my hair, is what defines me in a way. Its that trusted friend, that secret lover, that sacred part of me which I hold dearest of all. And I let Angeline cut it. If youre a Beardsman like I am, you have to have a lot of trust to let someone get that close to your mane. Simply put, Angeline is *the best*, hands down, end of argument. When Angeline decided to move her chair to Benefit Salon I had no worries. No worries Id feel awkward, or out of place or just weird. The staff at Benefit Salon are all great people and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Its kinda like you belong there to begin with. The whole place just has a great positive vibe to it - I just cant explain. So take it from me, Grizzly Adams, a 30-something Beardsman and introvert, treat yourself to a haircut and mini facial (dude, its awesome, get over yourself and try it!). And IF youre lucky enough to be able to see Angeline, do it. Let her know The Dude sent you. You wont be disappointed.

I first came to beneFit about six months ago because I followed my stylist. Where she goes, I go! I LOVE the space and the overall ambiance there. Its such a relaxing atmosphere, getting my hair done is like a mini treat for myself. Everyone who works there has always been very friendly and accomodating. If you are looking for a stylist, then go see Jocelyn. My stylist had moved out of state, so I was looking for someone new and wasnt quite happy with anyone I tried. Then my friend recommended Jocelyn. After the first time she did my hair, I knew I wasnt going anywhere else. She was super sweet, friendly and listened to what I wanted. I was always afraid to try something new, but after learning my style and preference, she suggested a new style for me to try. I absolutely loved it!! I always trust her and know that she will give me exactly what I want...actually better! I couldnt be happier, I highly recommend beneFIT and Jocelyn!
