We have had two experiences with Feazel and unfortunately the bad experience far outweighs the good one. We got a new roof and we received excellent customer service, prompt replies, and answers to every question we had. Because of that we wanted to hire them to replace some siding and gable vents. It started out well with good communication from the sales rep. Then on the day he came to our house to have us sign the contract he told me that he was wrong and couldnt do part of the job he said he could and the price he quoted me in an e-mail was wrong and the job would be 20% more. This was pretty off putting so we told the rep we needed to think about it. We didnt like being blindsided with more cost for less work. This must have offended him because since then, we have received absolutely zero support. The one e-mail he responded to was to say that he would work up the contract that evening (This was mid June, it is now August 7th). I have received no contact after e-mails, calls, texts, even a call to the main office. Nothing. I know the job I am hiring for isnt as big as a roofing job, but I would expect at least some contact in a 2 month period. If you are looking for someone to do a big job, they will treat you like royalty, anything small or if you question a 20% price jack at the last second, forget about it. Who would have thought it was this hard to give someone your money? This recent experience has left a bad taste in my mouth about a company I once would have recommended. UPDATE: After this review, they called right away and gave me a new sales person to deal with. Work was scheduled about 2 weeks later. Well, 30 minutes after the team was supposed to show up to work, I get a call that the vents they are replacing are custom and not standard. Salesman 1 measured 3 months ago, a second team came the prior week and measured, and I wasnt told until AFTER they were scheduled to show up to work. We rearranged our day to be there for the install and were left frustrated. I wait the month to get the right sized vents and schedule a day to have vents and siding replaced. Again, rearrange our schedule to be there for the install. The crew shows up about 2 hours late and is only there to do half the job! They can only do vents, not siding! I had confirmed the prior week what the job was to entail, and a team came out to measure the siding the week before, and I again only find out after the job is scheduled to be done that it will not be done that day! I dont know where the confusion existed, but this was another incredibly frustrating day dealing with Feazel. I tried calling their main office 5 times before actually getting a hold of a person and not hold music and nobody seems to be able to explain any of this. Finally, I had to wait for the siding schedulers to call me back a few days later (October 7) to tell me when they could perform the job that was initiated in June and scheduled to be done September 1. Communication was terrible, customer support was non-existent, and overall a terrible ending to the experience. The work on my home is done and so is any relationship I will ever have with Feazel.

Where to begin? A salesman came through the neighborhood after a storm and was able to get my roof replaced via insurance (only reason for the second star). From there- it was all downhill. I would NOT RECOMMEND doing business with Feazel. Use a LOCAL company, you will thank me later. First of all the salesman was out of the Columbus office. Once he had the signed contract, that was the last I heard from him. At which point I began working with the Cincinnati office directly. Scheduling took nearly 2 months to put on the roof which ending up being December. The roof itself looks good! Next up was the gutter and gutter guards. Within days after install, the brand new gutters were streaked with black stains from the roof (which looked worse than the 30-year-old gutters did). Feazel sent out Jeremy (their Cincinnati representative)to inspect and confirm this (more time off of work). This apparently, was the result of incorrectly installed gutter guards. Upon his inspection, we also found they had damaged nearly a half dozen shingles during their installation. I had to take more time off work to meet with this repair crew. Now onto the insulation. This was a total joke from the start! They failed to show up not once but twice (another two half days of missing work). When they did finally show up, they Drove the truck through my lawn, creating huge deep ruts (of which Feazel could have cared less about). Apparently, they didnt install baffles to allow the eaves to breath (which would result in a molding attic and a new roof in a few years). Enter Jeremy again, he confirmed this and scheduled them to come out to install the vents. Yep, you guessed it another no show and more missed work time. Last was my Cupola. The old one was a wooden structure and had begun to rot. So the original salesman recommend that this be repaired and replaced with hardy board (a synthetic material not prone to rotting), which I thought was a great idea! However, upon completion it was rebuilt using regular lumber? Additionally, the craftsmanship leaves something to be desired. The flat edges are sloping inward- which now hold water. You and I, both know standing water on top of wood = rotting. To finish off this fantastic job, they left the stickers on the wood and painted right over them! Even as late as September, I tried trading e-mails (2) with Mark Cramer ( the Cincinnati division head) about my concerns and have yet to receive a reply. After researching this company, you will find that the Feazel Brothers sold their share of the business and the only thing remains is the name. The new owner seems only concerned with growing sales and market share. Not the finished product. This is what I have found to be evident with my experience in the Cincinnati office.

Feazel took the pain out of the insurance process. Jerry, the Field Supervisor, walked the roof with my insurance agent and pointed out hail damage. The roof was approved and Feazel installed it about 10 days later in one day. Their crew worked extremely hard to get it done. After the roof was complete, Jerry walked the roof again to make sure all was ok. He pointed out some cosmetic issues that werent up to Feazels standards that I didnt even notice. He scheduled them for "repair." I had one minor problem with my sunroom 2 weeks later. I contacted Jerry and within 2 hours I had a roofer at my house fixing the problem. The General Mgr (Mark) called me later that evening to apologize and to make sure I was satisfied. I was very happy the way the whole process was handled from beginning to end. I would definitely hire Feazel again.

Our roof was leaking in a couple of spots so we decided was it was time to get a new roof. Called several companies for estimates, and was very pleased with our salesman from Feazel roofing, Gary Beatty. He went up to inspect the roof and found some bare wood showing, so he covered it with shingles right then. Pleased with the customer service, we went with Feazel and on the day of the job the crew showed up at 8:00 a.m., started stripping the old shingles off. They had the job finished by 7:00 p.m. and the roof looks great! They even added some vents above our garage. Our project manager, Scott Widmyer, walked us through every step, and made sure everthing went smoothly. They did an excellent clean up around the house, and we have found no loose nails! Thank you for our new roof!
