I had Shay as my stylist. It was my first time going to this salon so I was paying extra attention to how she was doing my hair. I have African American type hair and Shay is an African American stylist. So i figured she should know what she was doing. When she shampooed my hair she only did it once (note all my other stylists in the past did 2-3 shampoos) and I feel she didnt get my scalp very clean. When she blow dried my hair, she did it close to my neck and it hurt really bad. Then when she flat ironed, she used heat protectant on each section of hair but still i feel she over used it because even after my hair was done she used it again. But my ends fell dry and practically most of my hair does because she flat ironed my hair too much and flat ironed too slow with a titanium flat iron. Really a bad experience because Im trying to grow my hair out.. Its already short but now i feel like i have to cut more and more off. If you are an african american woman thinking about getting your hair done here, this is not worth it. I recommend going to another place for example Graffitis Salon which is inside the mall also, Square One Salon which there are multiple locations for this including Centerville and Dayton which both have stylist who can do african american hair amazing, and Artistic Hair Design which is in Dayton.

I went to get my hair dyed blonde.. I said all blonde but leave out streaks of my brown. He hardly put in any blonde at all and I had to come in the next morning hours before my event. The next time I went I got a short female named Amanda I believe. Really sweet. But I asked to have my brown where my roots where showing to go farther down, like an ombré. She offered some red in the middle. I asked several times if she thinks shell be able to do that. I tried to tell her that it wouldnt come out right but she said its look great. And it looked awful!! Not the right color of red to match my ash brown hair, was uneven, more red on one side, messed up my bangs, it was awful. They scheduled me another appointment for the following week with someone else to fix it whom admitted it looked terrible, and this girl did not do much better. Granted she had to fix a mess. But still did not give what I wanted. Im not a picky girl!! Just wanted ombré hair. I would never recommend them nor EVER go back.

I refuse to go anywhere else. I used to hate getting my haircut. But here is where i underwent a transformation that i will forever love. My hair used to be long and justin biebery, i finally decided i need a grown-up haircut and i didnt know what i wanted. Shout out to Donald for giving me the best pompadour haircut i couldnt find anywhere else. The workers are good people, and its a very professional environment, you can walk in, or easily make an appointment over the phone. I dont think haircuts can get any better than the regis in Dayton mall.
