I had the most disappointing hair experience Ive ever had with this salon. The only service I required for this salon was for my extensions to be dyed. I even sent them a picture of what I wanted so there would be no confusion. I got them done just in time for NYE to complete my NYE look, and was very disappointed to see I got nothing near what I asked for (too much brown in the style when I wanted a basic DR2730 black to blond look), even after all of the horrible customer service I received. After being quoted one price for my hair being dyed ($40) after they were supposedly looked at when I dropped them off on a Friday, I received a call Wednesday night (one day before their scheduled pick up) stating that the price was increased to $75. Since I had already planned to have the hair for a special occasion, I agreed. I find it very interesting how she had no problem calling to increase the price, but couldn’t take 5 seconds to verify if she had my vision correct for the hair I wanted. They then called me an hour before they closed on my scheduled pick up day to come pick up the extensions, like I could just zip over there through Atlanta traffic without any type of heads up. When I went to pick them up the next day, you could tell from the look on my face that they were not what I expected, and when I made a comment about the very large amount of brown in my extensions that I didn’t ask for, I received a very snarky response from the stylist. She offered to try and blend it for me, but I didn’t have time to waste since I knew I was going to have to fix this myself (NYE was the next day), and eventually refused the offer and ending up dying the roots back to black to match my own 1B colored hair so I could blend my clip ins properly. I will never visit this salon again, which makes me kind of sad since this was the first time I’ve trusted someone else with my hair in years, and was really looking forward to using them for future services

I dont write reviews about any companies but decided I had a wonderful experience so I should share. I was looking for new salon and was opting to get a weave done. Please note this was my very first weave so I was very apprehensive! I found Kalenas online and read all the great reviews and decided to try. I did not get an appointment with Kalena so this scared me a bit. The receptionist recommended I do a consultation before I decide. Which I did that same day and met with Shanice. She was very sweet, knowledgeable and eased my nerves a bit. She recommended where to purchase the hair and I made an appointment with her. A few days later she worked her magic and I was very very happy. Shanice is awesome! The rest of the staff is great as well. Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing place. I washed my hair at 5:00 and attempted to put a reconstructor in because my hair was shedding terribly but when I put the reconstructor in and combed my hair it started coming out in clumps. I was livid crying everything. I called kbb at 6:00 and asked if I could please be seen. The person that answered the phone was so kind. She said come on in. Kalena has such a warm calm spirit. She made me feel confident that wouldnt have to cut all of my hair. Leah did my hair a relaxer, protein treatment, and cut. OMG SLAYED and I hate this word. It looks amazing and healthy. I will continue to come to this salon everyones so friendly professional and understanding even at the last minute.

Overall, Kalena is an "all around" stylist. She can do short, long, natural, weave (whatevers your desire) she can put something together. I brought a picture of Taraji P. Hensons bob cut, and she did a quick weave and cut it just like the picture! I got sooo many compliments about it. Shes a young, energetic woman. Shes a down-to-earth person and anytime I call in to get a trim in between styles, she never lets me down and tell me to come on in! I work right down the street from her salon and that works best for me. Ive been attending her shop almost 2 yrs, and Im picky about who does my hair and so far shes won the trophy!

Let me start off by saying the owner is great and i come to the salon maybe 2-3 times out the year . This past Saturday i had an appointment at 1pm with Tonya and i was the only appointment at 1pm. She did not start on my hair until 3pm. She did not do the sew in the way i wanted and i told her but she insisted she was going to do it her way . Im the one whos paying $200 i think i should get it installed and styled the way that i want . I really hate my hair ! and i didnt get out of there until 6pm. I will not be returning EVER AGAIN .

After having a bad experience at New York style Dominican hair salon I immediately came here. They welcome me with open arms a hug and thats what I needed. I spoke to Rita over the phone everyone was nice. She re washed me deep conditioner no heat the assistance blow dried me. Rita trimed & style me did everything I asked. Although I was expecting to be out in a hr I left a hr in a half. I will return though everyone was pleasant. A REAL BLACK HAIR SALON that uses real black hair products leave ur hair smelling fresh and bouncy

It was an Amazing experience . I felt Peace and Joy when I entered the salon . The receptionist greeted me with a big smile. The owner is Beautiful,friendly, and anointed. Leah did my hair and she is gifted to do hair. She gave me one of the best shampoo I have had. She wrapped it and styled it to perfection . This gorgeous young lady is my new stylist! These are a group of virtuous ladies. A phenomenal salon. The pound cake was delicious. This is my new salon and therapeutic safe place. God is Awesome!

I was new to the area and needed someone to take care of my hair so I goggled some places and decided to try Kalenas ; it was the best decision I ever made. I began going to Kalenas Beautiful Beginnings in December and I love them. My primary stylist is Chante and Im going through the natural process and with her help the process is amazing. I love my sew-ins and I can see lots of growth. If you want beautiful, healthy hair please see these ladies Kalena and Chante does an awesome job.

Ive been going to Kalena for about 3 years and she is the only stylist who has colored my hair without it falling out. She is also one of few stylists I know that are skilled in all types of hair (weaves, short cuts, natural etc). Furthermore she is a sweetheart...sometimes you go into salons and they have attitude or are cocky - not the case with Kalena. She is always attentive and truly cares about all of her clients. If youre looking for a stylist - look no more!
