We were privileged to have Tony and Winston for our move today. I have only hired movers once prior in my life. The first experience was nothing short of horrible! That being the case I was very apprehensive about this move. A very good friend referred me to them and spoke highly of both of his moves with them. I decided to cross my fingers and gave them a try. They were both very punctual and their appearance represented the company well. They were very polite and friendly to the family and friends I had helping at the house and managed to make this move a significant amount less stressful on us. The care they took with my possessions blew my mind. They treated everything like it was their own, valuable or not, and made sure to not to hit any walls or corners. This was very important to me since my house was just built and everything was in pristine condition. The speed as what impressed me the most. They were paid hourly but you never would have guessed it. They actually ran back to the truck after each piece they unloaded. They blew the quoted estimated time out of the water! When they left they made sure to thank every one of us for allowing them to help with our move and asked if there as anything else they could assist us with. In all honesty, I am completely happy with this entire move and I owe it all to them. MVM needs to make sure they keep these two on the payroll! I run a business myself and finding employees that go so far above and beyond what is expected is rare! Finding ones that are happy doing so and making it seem effortless, deserves significant appreciation. I wanted to take the time to post this before I even start unpacking because I need to make sure that not only future customers are aware, but also MVM management as well. I would recommend them to anyone without blinking an eye. I cant speak on the rest of the staff there. I am assuming they are fantastic as well but when you set an appointment with MVM I would try my best to land Tony and Winston. You will NOT regret it. I promise.

I hired Maumee valley movers to help me move my stuff 3 times between 2012 and 2014 and i think Ill need them one more time before the end of they year. Ive always been satisfied with their service, otherwise why keep going back. They are very professional, friendly and they treat your belongings with care. They follow your instructions if you have any to give on what is fragile or breakable or what can be stacked and what shouldnt. Their prices are reasonable and generally lower than the competition and if you use them multiple times they will lock you with your initial rate. I move from Ann Arbor, MI to Chicago, IL and their rate including coming from Toledo to Ann Arbor to Chicago and back was still 40% less than any movers Ive spoken to based in Ann Arbor. Very punctual, arrive on time for pick up and for drop off. If they forget anything in the truck which rarely happens they will call and let you know and they will mail it to you or deliver it free of charge. Nothing will be lost. Their trucks are large and roomy and they cover any wooden furniture or glass with layers and layers of protective cloth. Maumee valley movers are one of the most accommodating, cordial and professional businesses i have worked with. Do not hesitate to call 5/5 stars every single time. I cant say enough good things about our experience with this company. We moved from Maumee out to Williams County recently & were thrilled to find a local moving service that didnt "gouge" for out-of-town moves. From our first interaction with Tim in the office to our movers Ryan & Dutch, we were thoroughly impressed. Everyone was personable, yet professional, and left us with the feeling that they genuinely cared. Lets face it... moving is a stressful experience. However, Ryan & Dutch took most of that stress away. We were blown away with how efficiently they worked while being extremely careful with our stuff. In fact, we had refurbished the hardwood floors of our new house prior to moving in, so we were nervous about scratches. After providing a quick consultation, Ryan & Dutch gladly rearranged the heavy furniture in our living room from our original requested placement to a much better configuration & didnt leave a mark! I could go on & on with how great these guys were. Needless to say, if we ever decide to move again, MVM will be our first choice. (For the record, we paid over $100 less than was quoted as an estimate. However, we would have gladly paid the full amount for the high-quality service & attention we received.)

We recently moved from Perrysburg to Toledo. Murphy’s Law, the temperature the day of the move hovered in the 20’s. Maumee Valley Movers, Alec and Winston, arrived according to schedule. We were moving from a second story apartment to another on a second floor as well. The furniture we have could be called “good wood” and is more than heavy. The stairwell in the apartment we were moving from was wide. Carrying down to load was easier than carrying up to unload was. The stairs at the destination were narrower and had a right angle turn at the top. Alec and Winston made it all look effortless. They treated our belongings as if they were their own. Everything arrived unmarked and in one piece. They worked like a well-oiled machine. From the minute they arrived until the minute they finished, the two men were professional, polite and hard-working. The whole “move” experience from the initial call to Tim at Maumee Valley until the processing of the payment at the end of the move was awesome.

We have hired this company about 7 times in the last 5 years, which is a ridiculously long story. The point is that we keep coming back because they are, without fail, a stellar group of individuals who take extreme care in moving our possessions and conducting themselves with utmost professionalism. This week we had the pleasure of working with Dutch and Teddy, both of whom lived up to what we have come to expect from this company by demonstrating a superior work ethic and just being good, nice people throughout the process. Moving is stressful, whether it is to deconstruct a beloved home, to turn a strangers house into a new home, or just to have an awesome new couch delivered and a few other things shuffled around. They do it all, big or small, and they do it in a way that makes us want to sing their praises to anyone who will listen. I wish I could say our wandering days were over, but who am I kidding. We will be back, and we cant imagine trusting the task to anyone else.

The movers were very professional. They were clean, efficient, and were able to move my heaviest, bulkiest objects with ease. Im serious about that. I have a couch that weighs as much as a VW bug, which they were able to take up and down several flights of narrow stairs. They got everything to my new place almost 100 miles away in perfect condition. The walls were freshly painted and the carpet was freshly cleaned when I moved in. Everything was still pristine when they left, except now all of my possessions are here. So if you are looking for an affordable, reliable, cleanly mover you should definitely go with Maumee Valley. As a post script, you also shouldnt buy a really heavy couch. You arent going to clean behind it and when someone moves it they are going to see what kind of a mess your life is. The movers had the decency not to say anything about all the crumbs and unpopular crayons they found back there.
