Crooks! The asst Manager (Steve I do believe) is a true snake!! First off when I got there for my scheduled appt he told me I wasnt in the book for an appt (even though he was the person I spoke with a few days earlier to schedule the appt). So after waiting for a hour they finally pulled my car in for an alignment. I had received a 10% off card from Discount Tire for $59.99 a week before and when I showed the card to Steve he instantly seemed bothered. He asked why I needed an alignment and I told him I just replaced my rack and pinion which comes with new tie-rod ends so I just wanted to make sure everything was lined up correctly. He instantly started rambling on about how much work he would have to do since I put on aftermarket parts but I explained to him that I didnt have any aftermarket parts as everything came from the dealership and were OEM parts. So they pull my car in the bay and about 10mins later Steve comes up to me and shows me a graphic on the monitor. He begins to point out how bad the alignment was and that he was going to have to order all these special parts to complete the job and that I was looking at $250-$300 worth of work and my coupon wouldnt be able to be used. I instantly had them pull my car out the bay! I knew he was full of crap as I know a thing or two about cars and do most of the maintenance work on my vehicles myself. I then took my car to the Bob Cardwell Dodge dealership on Morse Rd to have the alignment done. The alignment service was $99 but atleast I knew my Charger was in good hands plus they do a courtesy inspection and vacuum for free. About 45mins later they came and got me and told me my Charger was ready to go! I asked the service tech if they ran into any trouble performing the alignment and if any special parts were needed, he said no everything went smooth as silk! He then gave me the before and after alignment printouts showing how they were able to correct everything! $99 later my car was buttoned up, freshly vacuumed with a nice free car freshener!! Stay away from these crooks at Midas especially the asst manager Steve!

My first experience with this Midas location, a few years ago, was excellent. I knew the likely problem going in (bad oil pressure sensor), and so asked specifically for the oil pressure to be tested, thinking that if it was fine, then I could have the sensor replaced. I wish I could remember the name of the employee, but he came back to me and suggested we just replace the sensor without testing the oil pressure since they also agreed it was the likely culprit. It saved me over a hundred dollars for a test that would have told me what I already knew. Just yesterday, I drove in with a flat tire and requested a patch/plug. The employees tested and found that the puncture was too close to the sidewall to repair, and even showed it to me without any prompt (I agreed with their diagnosis. It was definitely too close to the sidewall). They then asked if Id like to replace just the one tire, or if I wanted to replace two to keep the tread wear even. I asked for two, and to also replace the valve stem on my spare (which was corroded). Long story short, they took care of it all and didnt even charge for the valve stem (which was only a few dollars, but still). I cant speak for everyones experience, but Ive been using this location for about four years now and have always been satisfied with the service.

I would like for everyone to know not to go to Midas on Westerville road they have stolen money from me. The business they have done is terrible anyone out there with a car please be carful dont let these crooks steal money from you take your business somewhere else! I took my car in to be fixed because I heard I noise coming from my engine they told me my lifters were bad and needed to be repaired for the noise to go away. I said ok I will pay you this money if the noise goes away and the problem is fixed they said it would be. They charged me 1500$ for the work and the parts when I got my car back the noise was still there nothing had changed they told me it was fixed and it wasnt so I said look its not fixed if anything can you take it back in to be fixed. They told me it was not there problem and it was something else they said they would not work with me. I have been going to this midas for the last two or three years. Ive always trusted the mechanics to tell me the truth. I even had both sets of breaks replaced, to the tune of about $1,000. Today when I had my oil changed, I asked how close I was getting to my free oil change. The salesperson said that even though they have record of when my oil changes were, I cannot get credit for the oil changes without the receipt/paperwork from each visit. If you have record of my oil changes, this seems to me to merely be a way of denying people the free oil changes they have earned. They told me today that I need my shocks replaced. But if I replace them there I get free lifetime replacement except for labor. I no longer trust this, since I cant Even get my free $20 oil change. I will get my shocks replaced. But they will not be doing the work.

Midas on Westerville Rd is always the first place I call when my car is in need of service. When they were booked one day, I tried the Karl Rd location and the service was slow and unprofessional...never again. One of the many reasons that I prefer this location is the manager, Cody. He is all about getting the job done. I really appreciate that he does not over-diagnose my car when I take it in. If for some reason, something is going on with my vehicle that is not why I originally took it in, Cody will explain realistically the pricing, how long the job will take, and does not force me to get the job done right then. Hes considerate of the customer, instead of trying to make a sale. I recommend this Midas in Westerville for your car service.
