My mother bought a car from Wilmington Auto Center in May 2015. The problems with the car started as soon as she left the lot. The car wouldnt start after she stopped to put gas in it. She called WAC and they sent a mechanic. After 20 minutes, he got the car started. He told her to come back the next day, as it was just about 6 pm. When driving home, she heard the car making squealing noises, which she recognized as a belt going bad. She tried to open the hood to look at the belts and check the oil, but it wouldnt open. The next day, the mechanics said they didnt know why it wouldnt start, because the Check Engine light was blown. He didnt have a replacement bulb for the Check Engine light. He said hed have to special order it, and would call when it was in. RE: the hood; it took 3 mechanics to get it open. They said it was a loose cable, and set up an appointment for 2 days later to get it fixed and to diagnose the squealing sound. In the meantime, my mother and my 4 year-old daughter had sliced their fingers open on the interior door handles. The chrome tape was peeling and sharp. This was after they said they had "fixed" this problem. At her scheduled appointment, they said nothing was wrong with the hood. Also, they check the belts and couldnt find a bad belt. On the way home, the Check Engine light came on. She stopped at a parts store. They said there was a vapor leak. She called WAC, as she was told when she bought the car she had an extended warranty. They said vapor leaks werent covered. They would be happy to fix the problem, for a fee. She declined the service. On day 89 of her 90 Day Warranty, the battery light came on when the car was started. The steering wheel wouldnt turn. WAC doesnt have towing services, so she call a 3rd party to have the car towed. WAC said the serpentine belt had dry rotted and shredded. The belts on the alternator and air conditioner were also dry rotted. All 3 needed to be replaced. She called the General Manager and ask him to replace the belts for free. He told her belts arent covered under the warranty. But when she insisted she had been in specifically to have the belts checked, he said he could split the cost 50/50 of replacing all three belts on the car. She got the belts replaced for $86. Today (8/13/15 [2 weeks later]), the Check Engine light came on. Again. The parts store said the fuel injectors arent closing, and need replaced. Never purchase a car from Wilmington Auto Center unless you have an endless supply of money for repairs. She went to WAC because of favorable Internet reviews and family testimonials. Now she is without a car, again, and has to find almost $500 to get the fuel injectors replaced. Overall, her opinion is Wilmington Auto Center is a dishonest company.

BEST car shopping experience ever! Did I really just say that? I hate car shopping. You run into so many problems and I hate dealing with the people at the dealerships and the games they play. We found a car at Wilmington Auto and I must say, they made it not only easy, but enjoyable! Ron, our salesman was extremely helpful, honest and quite funny! They really made sure that we knew everything up front so the only surprise we were in for was how they went above and beyond for us! They deserve all the awards they have and more! I will definitely be back for my next car! Even the store manager was great! He was doing a lot of the work himself and very involved. They got us the best deal, warranty and car for our money and we are so happy we were able to do business with them! We live 2 hours away from the dealership but their service made it all worth it! Even after we purchased the car, we had a question and they were happy to help us out. They really let us know that customer satisfaction was their number one priority and I feel like they are in the business for the right reasons. All the other dealerships needed to make their profit their priority and let us know they only were interested in what was in our wallet. Not Wilmington! If you are in the market for a car, shop Wilmington! You wont get a better experience elsewhere! Thank you to all the staff who helped out me and my family help us get into our dream car! We couldnt have been happier with the quality and condition! We are now looking for excuses to leave and my husband and I are fighting over who gets to drive!

Sold us a used car a few years ago which started having electrical issues right away, followed by leaking AC. Then we were stupid enough to buy a used van as-is from them since we had family that knew them and trusted them, maybe we just got unlucky. Nope. They abused that deal to the fullest extent possible. Received a van they claimed was in great condition, but in reality had struts with holes rusted into them, a bad gas pedal that crapped out on us in the middle of the road, and no AC - it worked for two days and then quit, and whatever they put it it before we got it makes it impossible to get it checked because it contains sealants. Dont buy a car from this place. They are a ripoff and an oilslick in an otherwise nice town.

Clinton really helped me out on this one. I bought a brand new 2016 Chrysler 200 yesterday and I am in love with it. I went in looking at a different car but that did not end up working out in my favor. He showed me a couple different options for better gas mileage. There were a few bumps in the road but Clinton worked his magic and I ended up leaving with it the same night! He did the numbers and explained every detail to me to make sure I understood what was happening and answered all my questions and concerns. The other employees were great and friendly as well! I am a very happy and satisfied customer. Thank you, Clinton and Wilmington Auto!

I have to say that I had a really good experience. I was looking to see what kind of vehicle I wanted in person. I had looked online but lets face it, you really cant judge leg room from a picture. I had barely driven around to look at what they had in inventory when I saw someone come out. It was drizzling and he had an umbrella. He offered me an umbrella and answered all the questions I had. He brought a vehicle into the garage for me to get a closer look outside of the rain. Really great experience. I had visited 3 other dealerships but I have to say that I am seriously thinking that I found a great place here.

I just stopped in there to inquire on a used vehicle. It was priced a little high for the miles and year but anyways I went to speak to a sales person to see if price was negotiable. As I walk inside (because nobody came out to offer help in the 10-15 I was checking out vehicle) I seen 3 sales personnel talking to each other and not a single costumer in the store. So I waited for them to quit talking to ask about vehicle and when I did so the rep was very short, rude, and didnt offer many details. I had $8000 cash to put down but I was treated like I was a bum off the street. Definitely wont be back.
