BUYER BEWARE!!!!! I purchased a set of four tires from Spartan about four months ago because they came in at the same price out the door for tires mounted with free flat repair as it would have been to order through tire rack after mounting but without free flat repair. That was a mistake I will NOT make again. I ended up with a flat on my right front tire that I took in for repair. No problem, they said they would check it out and replace it. Turned out the sidewall was damaged so I needed to purchase a new tire. This is fairly standard even with free flat repair so I thought nothing of it and purchased a new tire, had them mounted and went on my way. Two weeks later to the day I noticed a bulge in the newly replaced tire. I took it back expecting the same service I had before and they would replace it at no cost to me. I was wrong. The first thing that they tried to tell me was that it was caused by road damage. This was impossible because my room was not bent and the rear tire would have had the same exact issue and it was in perfect condition. The owner continued to argue the point and was refusing to place the tire at no cost until it was pointed out to him that his registration with the state of Michigan implied that he was guaranteeing the tire. At this point all of his arguments stopped. He called the manufacturer of the tire and after much grumbling and back and forth he finally agreed to order the tire. However, he still charged me to mount the new tire after it arrived. Because of the run around that I was given regarding replacing a clearly defective tire, I am in serious doubt as to whether or not my original tire that went flat was truly in need of replacement or if they were just trying to make a quick buck on me. I will absolutely never use their services again and would tell any and every person to stay away. They have great customer service when youre handing over money but when it comes to collecting from them for defects in equipment or workmanship their real customer service policy emerges. Once again, buyer beware. FYI - I have NO problem whatsoever giving this company credit for the good initial service they provided me or giving them credit for finally fixing the issue of a defective tire. What I take issue with is the fact they were trying to railroad me and that when you really need them thats when they do their best to take advantage of you.

Dropped a tire off to have it repaired on a Friday morning. Was told it would be done around noon. Went in at 2pm to pick it up. Walked in and the man behind the counter was so rude. Didnt say hello, wouldnt look at me, was VERY rude and just impolite. Said the tire would be done later and they would call me. So NO phone call Friday or even Saturday! Went to pick it up Monday, asked how long it has been fixed, and he said he would rather not say! Really? Worst Howell business I have ever been to! Have never been there and will never go back. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place!! UPDATE...The tire that got repaired, is now totally flat 2 days later. They even charged us $20, when most other places are free. So disgusted with this place. I just got a nail in another tire on a different vehicle. This time took it Belle Tire in Howell. They were friendly, polite and fixed it in a few hours for FREE. Now that is service. I need a new set of tires soon and I will definitely be going to Belle Tire from now on!

The guys that work behind the counter are complete A holes everything I go there and clearly hate their lives. I went there 30 min before closing to get one passenger tire changed and they salesman had the nerve to tell me he cant get me in that day and even stated that the car in the bay was almost done beforehand. Poor customer service. Their techs are careless and broke my center caps but could care less about them and wouldnt replace them... Mind you my car is kept in top shape and I do my maintenance so, I know the caps werent corroded in the wheels as I just plasti dipped them with the caps removed. They one and only upside is that they arent slow and think their crap dont stink like Discount and Belle that you will waste a good two hours or more at no matter what it is youre getting done... But... Belle tire will take you in even if you show up a minute before closing time.

COMPLETLEY RUDE MAN WORKING THE FRONT DESK (DO NOT GO HERE), who doesnt speak in full sentences and then snaps back when you reply or answer the comment or question. Sarcastically correcting my answer to him like I dont understand....No Mr. Rude Man, not all your customers are mind readers and know whats going on in your brain...If I were a mind reader I wouldve known to walk right out the door the second I walked in and read your mind...$20.00 patch on a tire leaking air....(over priced) still holding the air..(for 5 hours now).Only let him do it because everyone else was busy because of the snow... My recommendations to anyone reading this is unless there doing 3/4 off all work..Go somewhere else that an owner/employee would appreciate your business, talk to you with respect and not talk to you like your incompetent. 1 star, like I said the tire is still holding air

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE, THESE PEOPLE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND WILL DO MORE DAMAGE THEN THEY REPAIR TO YOUR VEHICLE. Absolutely the worst tire service out there. Made an appointment to have a new tire put on 2 days in advance. Asked them several times if they will be able to get the tire on before they close if I drop it of right when they open. He assured me it would be and even said it would probably only be a couple hours. Gave him all the information and he said great we have your tire in stock. The day of the appointment I drop off my vehicle 2 minutes after they open, 3 hours later I get a call from them. They tell me they dont have my tire in stock and they wont be able to get my vehicle done till next week.

Worked on my brakes did a good job for a good price. But when I went to give him my card he said it didnt go through so they had to TAKE MY CARD AND SHREAD IT. Even after I gave him cash. So instead of like a normal place that would give you your card back because it didnt go through they just cut it. And not even in front of me either. He didnt explain why this was happening very well either just told me some lady on the phone told him to do it and it was "company policy". I just had some work done at another auto shop a couple days ago and they had no trouble using it. I was not happy today to say the least. Will not be returning.

I had a tire blow out on the highway near Howell and just picked this shop because it was the first one I could get to on my underinflated spare. I had had to swerve into the ditch to avoid a collision and I was pretty shaken up, so it would have been easy to take advantage or up-sell me. Instead they put on a new tire in an hour for a good price and even riveted on my loose bumper at no charge. If I lived in the area they would definitely be my regular mechanics now!
