This branch serves as a cliche of everything that is bad about the USPS. We live "out there" so one has to drive 4 more miles on a county maintained gravel road to get to the last 2 houses; my neighbor and me. Over the years they have gone from delivering the mail to a mailbox row 2 miles down the road to inching farther away with a variety of excuses why they cant make the trip i.e. winter weather, log trucks etc. We now have to drive 8 miles to get the mail. Packages, including Amazon Prime, are not delivered to the home address. If a package does not fit in our mailbox 8 miles away, we have to drive an additional 7 miles and go to the branch during business hours - dont forget that they are closed during lunch. Supposedly with Amazon Prime, if the delivery date lands on a Sunday, they bring it to my home, which seemed true until yesterday. Well, UPS and FEDEX have no problem delivering to the home address 7 days a week. I wish Amazon would stick with the delivery services that have a quality of service more akin to their brand because their brand is suffering due to the lameness of the USPS. Oh, one more thing. I was in the branch the other day picking up something that would have been delivered to my home with any other service, and after a minute or so it was apparent that no one heard the bells jingling on the door when I came in but by that time I was too intrigued by the conversation happening behind the walls to make my presence known. It was like a script from SNL satirizing arrogant entitled government workers. They covered a range of topics but it was mostly centered around what was and was not "my job" as well as vacation time and retirement accounts. It was only the postmaster herself and and another worker. I wish I had been quick enough to record it, but oh well, someone else came in and they heard the bells jingling that time despite their verbalized spiteful attitude toward customers. Theyre not bad people, just regular folks entrenched in a postal culture.

Worst postal service EVER. Unable to deliver just about anything ordered from Amazon Prime. Leaves packages in the rain, in my driveway, nowhere near my door. Front counter employees are the rudest people Ive ever met. Im pretty sure the entire town of Banks would agree with me.

Mail and packages in general are treated well, but not organized. The staff, while can be cheerful at times, are rather brusque and terse with customers more often than not. They do thier assigned jobs well, but lack passion.
