Just in case Im accidentally reviewing the wrong location, this is intended for the Clackamas, Oregon location. I intended to write this review a month ago, but it completely slipped my mind. I apologize for that. Why did I go to Comprite? Well, my laptop had been nonfunctional since mid-February, and all the major corporate repair services (looking at you, Geek Squad) wanted over $150, non-negotiable, just for diagnostics. I was also looking to trade in a Chromebook for repair funds, as I was short on money at the time. The Chromebook came from Office Depots online store, and yet that same company wouldnt take it back, even though it was in perfect condition, with box and receipt. But I digress. I was about to call it quits, but had the presence of mind to look up electronic repair shops in my area. CompRite seemed to come highly recommended, so I grabbed my keys and headed over. Let me tell you, they are so highly-rated FOR GOOD REASON. Less than ten minutes after I walked in, theyd run diagnostics on my laptop and figured out the problem: as I suspected, the HDD was damaged. If I remember correctly, the repairs were to cost $140-150, plus the added cost of a new HDD. Me paying for the new HDD (1TB, $70) is perfectly reasonable, of course, so that brought up the total cost to $210-220. Keep in mind, Geek Squad wanted around $500 at least. And then they just HAD to go ahead and make an already good deal even better, because they are such good people. Remember that Chromebook I was talking about? It was worth about $170-180 - but since a product loses (on average) half its value once the box is opened, that cuts the Chromebooks value to $80-90. They wee willing to take my Chromebook as payment both for the new HDD and labor charges. Not the repairs themselves - they do have a business to run, after all - so that left a price tag of $150. Problem was, I only had $130 on me. They could have told me no - from a monetary perspective, they wouldnt lose anything; I would just come back when I had the rest of the money. However, they instead decided to meet me halfway and drop the price to $129, right then and there. Needless to say, I was shocked. And then there was the turnaround time. I expected a week, give or take. Nope. "Tomorrow or the next day. Well call you when its ready." I agreed, we filled out the paperwork, and I left a very happy man. Time since entering the store: 20 minutes. I could have ended this review here, but then they called me that evening. Long story short, the HDD was fine - the problem was with the HDD-motherboard port. No HDD would work without replacing the motherboard itself, but the SSD port was still fully functional. The biggest SSD they could fit was a 240GB - a minor inconvenience, as USB-mounted external HDDs would connect just fine. They had called both to ask for my go-ahead, and to inform me it would cost nothing extra. Once again, I agreed. My laptop was back in my hands the next morning. CompRites affordable prices were impressive, but the staff left me nothing short of floored. Their customer service was quick, polite and second-to-none... not to mention their flexibility with the aforementioned prices. I will leave the reader with this: if you have any problem with your computer, or even your smartphone, go to CompRite. Their small business accomplished in less than 24 hours what an army of corporate goons failed to do for five months, and for a fraction of the cost. If any of CompRites senior employees are reading this: give the men at the Clackamas store a raise. This grateful customer says they deserve it.

Went there to have 2 phones fixed (cracked screen Samsung s4 and charger port on Samsung S3) and neither one got fixed. Went back seemed like every week with a new problem for a month that didnt exist before on S4 phone. Got exhausting making trips on day off to get new problems solved. The last straw was when phone wouldnt receive mobile service at all calls, texts, or data except wifi. Went to Verizon to have them trouble shoot problem and when they went into the phone system section to check id of phone and new sim card Verizon had put in the phone thinking it was sim card problem it registered nothing. Same with old Sim card. Bottom line I had to get another used phone off ebay that was used couple months. The price I was charged for these repairs was $200 and nothing to show but a phone that still loses its charge quickly and and an S4 that has been reduced to wifi device and cant even be sold to somebody else because the phone backing/battery compartment was replaced with some generic backing and all Samsung id numbers on sticker in battery compartment are gone obviously. Really disappointed in workmanship. Paul (owner or manager) seems like a nice guy tries to understand problem and provide solution I just dont trust his techs on phone technology/repairs. Also, couple times they would give me a window when repairs would be done--Id show up and theyd say they need more time. I got no problem needing more time but call your customer and tell them so they dont waste gas driving to your store when phone isnt ready. Unfortunately this was a VERY expensive live and learn lesson! Extremely Disappointed will not do business again!

I was somewhat intrigued by the "flat rate" pricing. I need a laptop fixed so I stopped by, having printed out a coupon from the website. When I asked about the specifics on repairing my computer, and the costs the associate was very vague. It became apparent I would be paying at least the top listed price for repair. I asked about the difference in pricing should I choose a basic hardware repair - he didnt really explain it. I gave in and told him to go ahead and do the 149.00 version. Then I presented the coupon. Then he told me if another part inside was broken in addition to what I specified, it would be more money. I very much doubted (having fixed my own laptops before) what he was talking about was broken as well, especially since I could see what the damage was and I knew how it happened. Sure enough, a couple days after my computer was supposed to be fixed the store called and said it would be 55.00 more to fully fix it. So I gave in, not being there to see what the damage really was. In total I paid 174.00 for a part I know costs about 10 dollars. If I were better at soldering I would have saved myself some money and done it myself. And it wouldnt have taken as long. I have nothing to compare this company to, but my alarm bells went off too late. On the plus side, the associates were friendly.

I brought in a 2014 iPad Air that wouldnt hold a charge. After paying $89 for diagnostic testing, they confirmed the battery had reached the end of its life, and quoted me a price of $69 to replace the battery. I had them proceed and they had the battery replaced the next day for pick up. However, in the process of replacing the battery, the digitizer surface was damaged, making one corner of the screen unresponsive to touch. This was a known potential risk with trying to salvage the original screen, which has to be unglued and removed to get to the battery. CompRite went above and beyond by making it right though! Sam had the screen replaced with a brand new one at no extra charge. He even threw in a free Apple Lightning to USB cable (I can always use another!) for my troubles. My iPad is like new again! Overall, this was a win compared to exchanging my iPad for a "refurbished" one from Apple, as I got my device back working faster, and did not have to reinstall everything. I would not hesitate to use CompRite again for iPhone/iPad repairs, and highly recommend their fast and ethical services. Sam and Tony were terrific.
