Did a really bad job on the repair and didnt not take ownership for it!!!! part 1 (the review is long i have to divide into 2 separate ones ) Two months ago, my husband accidentally drove my car into a cement pole in the parking garage. My car ended up with a right front damage. We didnt want to report this to the insurance because we were afraid that they would raise the rate..... We had heard good things and bad things about Maaco....Since we were tight on budget. We decided to give Maaco a try. We brought our nissan versa to the clackamas location because they had good reviews. They gave us a reasonable quote, and we decided to let them fix it. We had to rent a rental car for about 5 or 6 days while they were working on our car, but that was okay as long as our car was fixed right, At the time we picked up our car, they asked us if we knew anything about the previous repair that had been done on the car, We were surprised because we bought the car at a toyota dealership as a used certified with a clean record. They said the car had a left front damage but it was fixed. Anyways, that was good to know. When we took the car home and took a look at the repair more careful. We realized that Maaco didnt do a good job at fixing our car. There was big gaps between the front bumper (they just replaced and painted it) and its frame. And the hood was uneven. The gap between the hood and the fender on the right side was wider compared to the one on the left side. I brought the car back to the shop and told them my findings . At the shop, Whitney(the manager) blamed it on the previous repair, She said that because whoever fixed the car did a bad job on the previous repair, there was not a lot she could do to bring the car back to its original .....I and my husband got upset because that was not true. Before this accident, the car was in perfect shape, all the car components fit snugly. Whoever fixed must had done a fantastic job, that was why we didnt know anything about the damage and decided to purchase the car. it was really unprofessional of her (Whitney) for not taking ownership for her repair and blamed it on someone else. She told us that she would ask her mechanic to "twist" the hood a little bit to see if it fixed the problem. About the gap, she told us that there was a missing part that was supposed to hold the bumper to its frame. She recommended us to buy it, so they could install and "hopefully" would fix the gap. I agreed to pay $58 dollar to order the part,. It took a couple of days for the part to come. She gave me a call and i brought the car down her shop again to have things fixed correctly. They "twisted" the hood and installed the part........None of the issues was fixed. I was extremely disappointed. Not only that, she noticed that the new paint they put on the bumper starting to come off, so she told me to bring the car back next week to repaint the bumper. After a week driving a car, I noticed the right headlight (aftermarket replacement) that they replaced gave me a weird light patterns. The light was aimed all the way down to the road, and i didnt get to see very far on the right side at night. it also didnt give me any peripheral light. I brought it up to her when i took my car to the shop to repaint the bumper. She said she would have the mechanic adjust the light to see if it would fix the prob. i ended up leaving my car their for 3 days. To be honest, since it was not my fault that the new paint came off so quickly , she should have offer me a free car rental but no, she didnt even say anything. I had to pay out of my pocket again for rental car service. . to be continued

I was recently involved in a hit and run and unfortunately, my vehicle was not covered under insurance. I chose Maaco fully understanding this companys reputation for having half-assed, careless, cheap repairs. But this location does have great reviews on Google (even though word it mouth says otherwise) so I chose this shop to do the work. I was greeted by a woman named Whitney who apparently is the estimator AND receptionist. She guaranteed that the work would be done on a specific date and I thought it would be smooth sailing from there. But I was wrong, after being told it would take 4 days to repair, I stopped by after work 3 days later to check up on my car since I work close by. To my astonishment, my car was still sitting in the lot untouched. They had taken on other cars AFTER ME, and those cars had already been worked on. Kinda odd since my car had arrived earlier in the week but newer cars had priority. When I finally did arrive to pick up my car the following week, I walked into the waiting area which doubled as Whitneys office and found no one there. In fact, there was rap music playing on her computer filling the waiting area/her office with the wonderful tunes of Trinidad James hit "Females Welcome". A couple minutes later Whitney walks in and turns down the music laughing it off like no big deal. Her trashy colorful eye makeup made me think less of here immediately. Overall my car looked ok after waiting an extra 15 min on overspray bring scraped off my windows, door handle, tire, and fender liner. And even after dealing with Whitneys passive aggressiveness and shallow lies Im actually content on how my car turned out. But DEFINITELY not worth the unprofessional environment and hassle. I wish I went to Kadels.

I just bought a 1997 Nissan Altima from one of my friends. It was in pristine mechanical condition. The paint wasnt faded as it was always garaged, but it did have many small rick chips and a few dings. I went to this Maaco location because of the high raitings and profesional people that I delt with when I walked in for an estimate. They explained the different coatings and work they would performe to bring my car back to looking great. Since it was a color change from a Chanpain Beige Pearl to a Darker metalic green (My Favorite) I also had them jam the door openings and also paint the underside of the trunk lid. I was amaized at the level of detail they went to. They didnt just mask the rubber door moldings, they removed them and the door panels and floor kick panels and painted underneath them all and then replaced them. They also painted inside the gas door and the very tip of my electric retracable antenna so it matched the rest of the car. All my friends were impressed at what a good job they did. The only way you could ever tell that this car didnt come from the factory dark metalic green was to look under the hood at the firewall. All my friends said it was the best color change paint job they have ever seen. I have already recommended them to several people looking to freshen up their paint. I even drove back down there to tell Whitney thanks for such a great paint job and that they exceeded all my expectations and for an excelent price! After my third son graduates from U of O this year I will have a little extra cash and I am more than likely going to take my wifes Jeep there for some new paint. You just cant go wrong here, they are craftsmen and take pride in their work and it shows. Thanks Maaco!
