I was able to get in so quick, which was a relief considering the wait time is typically a few weeks. I was traveling home for my class reunion, seeing family, etc. and wanted to get balayage. I had a couple years of grow out and wanted to just blend it a bit better to match my blonde ends. We discussed the style, balayage, multiple times and I thought we were on the same page. I did not want stripy, chunky blonde, but the more natural balayage. I walked out with chunky yellow stripes in my hair that were an inch away from my scalp. The absolute opposite of what I wanted. Having previously colored my hair a few times I know the initial color can be a shock, so I washed it in hopes it would blend better and be more subtle. The color turned out terrible. I went home disappointed and uncomfortable with how chunky and yellow it was plus it looked like I had months of grow out! I paid almost $200 and had to turn around and pay another couple hundred to get it fixed. The girls were nice, but I would recommend bringing in a picture and triple checking you both are on the same page. I would also say they do not know how to do balayage. I am extremely disappointed in the service I received.

I have been coming to Luminous Salon for about two years now and have consistently had a great experience with Jill! She is always willing to invest the time and energy needed to achieve my hair goal(s). She was the one to cut my long dark brown hair into a short, grey/lilac pixie cut and help me maintain it for a year, before transitioning to a darker grey look. She recommended different products and practices to use to prolong the color, even if it meant it decreased how often I would need to visit the salon. All in all, I have come to completely trust Jills skills and talents to magically morph my hair into exactly what I was envisioning, time after time. Would highly recommend!

Got me in on a day of appt due to a cancellation - first haircut in two years and they did a great job discussing what I was interested in doing (I always bring photos of styles I like, its helpful for everyone involved) and then picking the best one for my face and lifestyle. Definitely recommend!

Luminous, specifically Jill, does our familys hair and does a good job at it. It comes out looking great for all of us, even with a wide variety of hairstyles, and shes on-time with the appointments and pretty quick to finish too.
