STAY AWAY! I called Kathy (the owner) of Hello Gorgeous yesterday and told her I was interested in having a body wave for my straight thin hair. She told me she had an appointment open. That should have been my first warning that a salon had open slots with time enough to perm hair on a Saturday morning. I went in and repeated that I wanted some curl in my hair - I was tired of the straight hair around my face and was hoping for some body to frame my face. Kathy proceeded to tell me how perms were unfashionable now and that nobody got them anymore. She told me that I had beautiful hair with natural highlights (Ive never colored my hair) and that it would look great if she added some highlights. I told her Id never colored my hair before and that my husband was against it. She grabbed some books (obviously having already dismissed my idea of a perm) and started to show me pictures of movie stars - "see, she curls her hair, no perm, see straight hair is in..." I told her that I was open to other ideas (my second mistake) but that I wanted something other than straight hair around my face. I also told her repeatedly that I did not like spending time in the morning with product and a curling iron. Again, I have to say that this is my fault for not sticking with my original plans, but I allowed Kathy to be the first person ever to put highlights in my hair, with the promise of a haircut that would frame my face. Long story short, she pulled my hair at the sink when pulling the foil packets out of my hair (she didnt open them and take them off, she pulled them out) and when I grimaced, she said that she liked having her hair pulled. When I continued to be obviously in pain from her treatment, she said "Theres no beauty without pain." Off course, it was too late to back out then. She brought me back to the chair and started finger drying my hair (with the blowdryer) and it was obvious that my "highlights" were stripes in my hair. I mentioned this and she told me that the more I washed my hair, the more the stripes would mix and look like highlights. I didnt ask her how washing my hair would move the follicles so that the stripes wouldnt all be in the same place. (sarcasm) When she was done, I had over-blond flat straight hair around my face (with a ragged, uneven cut). She asked me if I liked it and I could only barely keep from crying. So she cut more hair from around my face to give it the body I was looking for when I came into her salon. She only made it worse. When I left, it looked like I had grown out a badly done mullet and had bleached my hair in stripes. She charged me $120.00 for this mess. I paid by credit card just so I could escape. When I called her a hour later and told her I still hated my hair, she said that I could come back in and get a perm. I said "I know that you are the expert, but everything Ive ever read says that you cant color and perm on the same day" she agreed and said I could come back in a few days (like I would ever let her touch my head again) and I asked what that would cost and she quoted me $70.00! I told her to refund my $120, and I would gladly pay her for the perm that I first asked for, she said "No! I dont work for $2.00 an hour!" I dont know where she got her figure from, but she must be as bad at math as she is at hair styling. I am dealing with my bank to get my money refunded, but there is nothing I can do about my hair until it grows out in a few years.

I enjoyed seeing Ginny. It was my first time as her client and Ill be going back. I have very long hair that I grew out for my wedding and I was tired of it being my natural hair color and super long. I was also nervous about seeing a new stylist for the first time. After expressing my wants and what I was nervous about with highlights and a new artist, we decided to start conservatively. She mentioned that since I was her last client of the day she wouldnt mind toning my hair to make the color more bold. In the end, my hair cut is wonderful and my color adds deminsion to my hair without being bold and out there. Next hair cut with her I will be a little more bold because I trust her now.

Carolyn Clemens has been cutting, coloring, and styling my hair for as long as I can remember...probably going on 15 years now. I am extremely picky when it comes to how my hair is cut/colored and do not trust many people, which is why when I found Carolyn, I have not left. She is new to Hello Gorgeous, but definitely not new to the trade of hair styling. Not only does she do my hair just how I like/ask, she is always sharing tips and products about how to keep my hair healthy and looking great! Her friendly demeanor makes for pleasant conversations during the time she works on my hair. Carolyn is an A+ hair-stylist!!

Fabulous, that is all I can say. I got a color an highlight, then a keratin treatment, and I look fabulous. I watched everyone get their hair done when I was and they all got a keratin treatment and looked 10 years younger when they left, me too. This was my first time here and Anna was great. There is a lot of talent at this salon. I highly recommend it and I am so picky about my hair. Love, love, loved my experience there.

My stylist is the owner, Kathy, she is awesome! I always get complements when I get my hair cut by her. She is up on trends and is all about the best service for her customers. Very friendly! I have had bad experiances in the past with other stylists, Kathy is the only person I let touch my hair. If you want a great hair cut and awesome service, this is ur place.

Kathy is great! She was recommended by a friend when I needed a new place and I felt comfortable immediately and got a great cut and color. If you are looking for someone and someplace new I HIGHLY recommend this salon.

I saw Jamie, and she did such a fantastic job. All the ladies there were nice, the salon is located in a very convenient location with ample parking, and the salon is very clean. This is definitely the salon for me!

Friends have told me this place is pretty good to have your hair done at. I am a man so I dont go here but based on anecdotes from friends this place has a good history with customers who keep coming back.

Have had better haircuts and setup. I wish my stylist wouldnt use a straightener to set my hair because that just made it look flat :/ Ive had great setups done with just a brush and a hair dryer.
