Bait and switch company. Came in for an alternator replacement. $90 diagnostic charge he says will be waived if choose to have any work done. Fee was never waived. I knew I needed an alternator...that is why I brought the car to an auto shop in the first place, specifically one that specializes in Electrics! Fee was not waived. Same guy checked me in and checked me out 3 days later, with the same smile one his face he said $400++ ... For a $70 alternator and two bolts? He told me it came with a lifetime warranty, didnt specify if that was labor or just the part, but this made me feel better about paying so much $$. 1 year and a handful of days later, the alternator went out on me. No problem I says, lifetime warranty at Briggs. Once again I knew the alternator was out, I tested it my self this time. Brought it back, he says that he will take care of me. I come in the next morning, guy tells me "you need a new alternator, thatll be about $380" Said he was giving me a discount since I had been in before. Once again this is the same guy who told me he would waive a $90 inspection fee, and that the alternator had a lifetime warranty. Neither of which turned out to be true. He said it had a 1 year warranty, and I was literally less than a week past my 1 year. So ironic, doesnt the warranty always expire right before something starts to fail. Ended up charging me $35 to tell me ONCE AGAIN that my alternator was bad. Terrible practice. Bait and Switch. Since my experience at Briggs; I have changed career paths and now work as customer service for a small family owned automotive repair shop. I was so disgusted by the way I was treated, I decided I would make it my life goal to ensure people have a choice for auto repair, and do not have to deal with shady business practices like this.

I recently tuck my 1999 Dodge Ram in because my trailer harness was crap from the factory and shorted out while on a trip to the coast. I managed to get everything back running again except for the trailer brakes. I was able to work them manually so I nursed my rig home. I took my truck into Briggs to have them find my problem and they found nothing so I hauled by trailer in and initially found nothing except they did an excellent repair on my trailer wiring harness, it will never be an issue again. Anyway a long story short Mike finally found the problem, sticking with it until he found the issue, repaired it and now I am able to take my Grandkids to the coast this weekend. Briggs is my place of choice and thank you all for your excellent service. Dave

Made an appointment to bring my truck in for some electrical work and when I got there I was told it wouldnt be until next week before he could work on the truck. I wasnt too happy with the guy who was running the front counter I think his name was Chris. He seemed like he was a meth user and so I walked out and consulted my partner and decided it was best to not leave it here. I got a really bad vibe from this place. Thankfully my gut told me not to do business here.

Rip offs!!! They will hold your car saying they are working on it then say 10 other things went wrong and it will cost a fortune.

Great shop. Honest and reliable. I have been using this shop for over 4 years and three different cars.
