The only reason I gave this business 1 star is because there wasnt a Minus score. We had called this shop to ask when we could bring my car in for an estimate and was told to bring it in on Saturday. When we arrived Saturday morning we were the only customers in the building. As we stood in the lobby for quite awhile I watched Jim sit behind his desk and even though he saw us, he slowly and eventually got up and made his way where I was standing. He acted as if we were putting him out and had interrupted his video games he had playing on his computer. I explained the purpose of our visit and the first thing out of his mouth was "how much money is the insurance paying us to repair it?" After I told him I was just looking for an estimate and I would be paying for the repairs he had the nerve to tell us how he thought it was a waste of money and we should just get rid of the car. I was appalled and insulted but continued to be sociable and finally convinced him to go out and look at the car to give us an estimate. Reluctantly he proceeded to start the estimate but only after I picked up his clipboard and took it out to him. When he finally compiled the details it involved a wheel alignment and additional costs that had nothing to do with the repairs necessary. Jim’s attitude was atrocious and honestly even if the estimate had been reasonable I would not have used them to repair my car. I will tell everyone possible not to use this business. Jim’s arrogance and condescending attitude lost my business and no doubt others as well.

I visited the shop, spoke with the owner, showed him what I wanted done, and scheduled the appointment. I dropped my vehicle off at 8:15am and they gave me a short ride to work (5 min). I was told theyd need my truck for the day and expected to pick it up that night which I arranged transportation for, since I was without my vehicle. I called that evening around 5pm as I had not heard from them. The lady who answered the phone could not give me a status update as to whether my truck was ready to pick up which made me suspicious. I showed up at 6pm and saw my vehicle sitting in their lot, untouched, no work completed. Nobody knew what happened and/or why the job didnt get done. Mike explained it was a busy day although he realized that was no excuse and attempted to offer a solution, but he didnt have any. Mike offered to have me come back the next day, and I said Id consider it if theyd make it right, but I wasnt interested if this is the norm for the shop. He said hed speak with the owner and call me. Mike called me the next day and said my file was placed on the wrong desk and theyd do nothing to make it right. I opted to do business with another shop that has their stuff together. But, if youre a fan of lousy service, businesses that dont care about your business, and wasting your time, call J&M!

This place is a joke. Receptionist just stares at you...they are not organized...the dont have enough estimators and I was given nothing but excuses both times i came in for an estimate ehy they could not help me. The first time i came in at 5pm on a walk in day...wad told they were closed and stopped taking walk ins. Ok so they close at 5pm when everyone works basic hours during the day. The next time I came in at 445 I was told they no longer take walk ins because they lost an estimator. I asked for the manager and was told she was on a conference call. NO service rather than customer service...no management...everyone in the office just sat there staring including all the estimators doing nothing to help. I wouldnt trust this place with a hotwheel. I will never go back to this place. Waste of time.

I cant begin to tell you the incredibly terrible experience I had with this company. Im 60-year-old. They disregarded the warning lights and signal the telling him not to drive the car. They damaged a very expensive automobile that they were told not to drive. They lied to me from the very beginning. Im warning you if you use this company and Mike Hernandez the manager is the worst of them all.. Your car will suffer and you will be sorry. I am currently filing suit. You can feel free to contact with me and I can give you verifiable proof of everything I have said. The reviews referring to J& M are reviews for J&M they were the company before Gerber Collision purchased them ,so they are reviews for the prior company.

Absolutely wonderful! These guys took me under their wing and made the process easy! My two month old 2015 Kia was ran into when someone ran a stop sign and totaled the passenger side of my vehicle. I happened upon them the next day when I tried to drive my vehicle to the store. I went into ask their opinion if I should drive it. The car was unsafe to drive so they set me up in a rental car until the other drivers insurance came through. Sam called the insurance twice a day until it was resolved. Mike kept me in the loop while the insurance figured out the quote. A month later my car was fixed and back in my hands! I hope to never be in this situation again but I will forever be a customer of J&M!

Very disappointed in the work/service done at Gerber. I will never recommend anybody to go their. First off when I dropped my truck off they had told me it would be 10-14 days until I set my truck back. It took them 2 and a half months. When I finally got my truck back, the bed had sanding supplies in it. They had broke the tabs off of my window switch. My bottom of my door was shaved down because they didnt was to align it properly. Alignment was not done like they told me it would be. My exterior mirror was hit in the accident and that was not replaced. And last they ended up stripping a bunch of clear coat from the hood and roof and denied doing it all.

I had several communication issues with one of the reps. The initial estimate was 14 days and the car was finally returned almost 2 months after the accident. The body shop took over rental costs once the insurance company said they wouldnt pay for any more days. The owner took over after expressing communication issues. The repairs were good, and the car was in great shape. I appreciated how they responded to my concerns, though I am not confident I can refer to them in the future. They are a busy shop, and "prioritize quick jobs, at the expense of the bigger jobs."

My car is waiting on insurance to decide its fate and I was told by an employee that I would be charged a storage fee if I could not get my car fixed by insurance and could not afford to fix my car. I think thats sad and outrageous and pitiful that everyone is out to make a buck off of someone elses bad fortune. Each day that goes by will cost me $50 to sit on their precious property. Thanks for taking advantage of me, I will bring my five kids in so you can tell them how greedy and money hungry you people are.
